I decided to write a lot more to understand that Apple need to know how and can be disappointed with a product. The exact 12 months made a purchase of a product believed to be top of the line and reconhecidissimo the market. I searched and understood what had to be the best tablet. I was wrong. Just days after completing 01 years of buying my iPad 2 lost its connection and so was the operator imagining being a problem chip. I came across a surprise, was not the chip, but an operational problem of Tablets 2 from Apple that comes with a problem that has no solution to be no exchange the device for a very high cost. I know that no matter my case, after all I am one more in the crowd who buy appliances every day, but I'm so disappointed that I decided to write and report the case, imagining that others may have the same problem and hope that Apple help me with some solution since it does not misuse this was but an operational problem. One way would be to e-mail them from yourself to yourself. That would totally avoid the different ID issue.

Actually, everyone missed one point, when a device is priced, the cost of icloud storage space for that device is also included in it that is why they are able to give you 5gb each for each user ID, in nutshell there is nothing free coming with apple device purchase, it is paid for. What they are trying by giving only 5gb per user ID irrespective of the number of devices used is pure broadlight looting, they take money from you when you buy each device and give you nothing, This is a case of goods and services bought but not fully deliverd ie apple can be suied for discreminatory treatment towards it's users. I wonder why no one tried this yet in America where everyone sue everyone for petty things..... there is no one to take up this issue? . if tim got any love for the guys who shell out money for the devices his company makes, he should be implimenting this as priority before someone wake up from sleep and sue him.

If it's an Intel Mac, you can upgrade it to Mac OS X 10.6.8.

You Restore from iTune Backup.The syncing is towards the end of the Restore.
1. Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings
2. You'll be asked twice to confirm
3. You'll see Apple logo and progress bar
4. You'll see a big iPad logo on screen
5. Configuration start
6. Set language
7. Set country
8. Select Network and input Password>Join
9. Enable Location Service>Next
10. You'll be given 3 options (a) Setup as New iPad (b) Restore from iCloud Backup (c) Restore from iTune Backup
11. Select Restore from iTune Backup
12. You will see picture of USB cable pointing towards iPad
13. Connect iPad to iTune (make sure iTune is on standby)
14. Tap Continue (computer)
15. Restore iPad from Backup (computer)

And they were definitely purchased from the iTunes store, they show on the account's purchase history (Store > View Account on a computer's iTunes, or you can view the last 90 days purchases via http://reportaproblem.apple.com) ?
You could potentially log into the account on that computer's iTunes (Store > Sign Out to log out of your account, that will then change to a Store > Sign In option) and redownload them by clicking on the id towards the top right of the iTunes screen and Purchased on the popup :
But that will potentially tie that computer to that account for 90 days : Manage your associated devices in iTunes - Apple Support
Or do you have a different computer that you could redownload them on and then copy them over to that computer via a flash drive or memory card, and then add them to its iTunes via File > Add To Library ?

after updating to ios 7.1.1 on both my iphone 4s and ipad I keep getting this message when I connect my phone or ipad to my iMac
:iTunes could not connect to this iPad. You do not have permission.
then this : Do you want to allow this computer to access information on “davidbarton’s iPad”?
If you don’t allow access, you will not be able to manage or sync your iPad with this computer.
I click trust on the device and then continue from within iTunes and I get this : iTunes could not connect to this iPad. You do not have permission.
I have started getting this too after running disk utility and verify disk permissions, then running repair disk permissions
: The iTunes Library file cannot be saved. An unknown error occurred (-54).

Yes.
Anything you uncheck in iTunes remains the same with iTunes regardless which device you are syncing.
I make use of iTunes playlists for the music I want transferred to my iPhone. Under the Music tab for my iPhone sync preferences, I have selected playlists, artists, and genres chosen. I select the iTunes playlists and/or artists and genres that I want transferred to my iPhone. I also have sync only checked songs and videos selected under the Summary tab for my iPhone sync preferences. This way if I want to remove a song or songs from my iPhone without removing the songs from the playlist I've selected to be transferred to my iPhone, I can uncheck the song or songs in the playlist in iTunes followed by a sync. Or I can remove a song or songs from the playlist in iTunes followed by a sync. To add additional music to my iPhone, I can add the music to one of the playlists in iTunes I've selected to be transferred to my iPhone followed by a sync.
You can have the same playlist or playlists transferred to both, or different playlists transferred to each, but whatever is deselected in iTunes will be reflected on both with sync only checked songs and video selected for your iPhone and iPad sync preferences.

Unable to delete photos from iPad with Image Capture or PhoneView

I recently downloaded about 50GB of photos to my iPad. They are RAW+JPG. Some of the RAWs are from a new camera that does not have RAW support on the Mac yet.
Using Image Capture I downloaded all the photos to my Mac. They all have the green check-mark next to them indicating they have been downloaded.
After confirming that the images transferred without becoming corrupted, I went back to Image Capture and selected all, then hit the Delete button. I confirmed that I really want to delete them all permanently.
Then a little floating window appears that says "Deleting..." and it stays like that for a long time. Eventually Image Capture simply loses its connection with the Mac and simply leaves this console message:

Back on the iPad, I see that some of the JPEG-format photos have been deleted while the RAWs that went with them are still there. Meanwhile for many others, both the RAW & JPEG both still remain.
Any ideas what might cause this? Is it because the Mac doesn't yet have support for the RAW file and therefore doesn't recognize it as an "image" file?
