Yes you were right thanks. I had a pay monthly sim card when I am on a pay and go tariff. All sorted now.

AS2 contact form and php - works fine but only sends half of the text in the comments field ???

hi all - i have an AS2 contact form using php to send the info to my email address - it all works fine except this ..... rather than having an empty comments box in the flash movie i had added a whole bunch of feedback questions that the user can comment yes/no to in the comments box (my feedback questions were added into the input text box in cs3 so are there when the user opens the contact page .. i have set the maximum characters to 10000 so no worries that its that that is stopping it all coming through in the email ..... basically when i go to my form online and send it i get it through as an email but with only three quarters of the feedback text in it ...... i have tried a zillion ways a round this, tried other contact forms and php and always end up with the same problem ... any ideas any one ?

i think you should not use $HTTP_USER_AGENT.

Iphone 5 worked fine but now shows no service

I have had my iphone 5 for 6 weeks. It worked fine and suddenly yesterday I see "no service".
Called Verizon, they suggested I turn off enable LTE. I did, it started working for a few minutes but then it went back to no service.
Each time I change this setting either on or off it connects to the network for a minute but then loses service.
Any ideas?

If you are still getting No Service in the upper left corner of the iPad screen when you have the SIM card inserted, I would use the information in the following article to help you determine what may be the cause.
If you see No Service in the status bar of your iPhone or iPad
Follow these steps, testing after each.
Tap Settings > Enable Airplane Mode, wait five seconds, then turn off airplane mode.
Restart your device.
Remove the SIM card. If the SIM card is damaged, worn, or bent, or if it's too big or small for the SIM tray, contact your carrier for a new one. Then reinsert the SIM card.
Check for a carrier-settings update: Connect to a Wi-Fi network, tap Settings > General > About, and install any available carrier-settings updates. If you can't connect to Wi-Fi, connect your device to a computer that has iTunes.
Update your iPhone to the latest version of iOS.
Reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This will reset all network settings, including Bluetooth pairing records, Wi-Fi passwords, VPN, and APN settings.
Contact your carrier to check for any network or account issues.
Restore your iPhone.

Optical Drive works FINE but WONT EJECT

Hello all
I have white macbook that I bought approximately about a year and half ago, and I sadly dropped it one day (fell asleep watching something and fell off my bed). Anyway since then the optical drive will accept and play dvd/cd's fine and will even burn however ejecting it is impossible. Does this mean that i need to buy a new one and install it or can i fix it by opening it up i.e a something bent or stuck. HELP???

Does the drive try to eject the CD/DVD but not finish it. If so you may have bent the part of the case just above the drive opening. I had that happen with one MacBook. To test it put just the tip of a flat blade screwdriver to one side of the opening and give it a slight twist as you try to eject. If the disk ejects enough to grab it then that is your problem. You can try bending the part above the opening just enough to let the disk clear it. When I took mine into the apple store they wanted to replace the entire bottom case at a cost of a couple of hundred dollars. 10 minutes work bending the case above the opening up fixed it.

You can reset the phone and it won't cause any problems or cause you to lose any data - Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Silver Apple appears.
The other thing you should do is to reset your network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. You will have to set up your Wifi again, but that oftentimes clears things up.

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.
