Help please. FaceTime app missing on my iphone (ios6).   Checked that Restrictions are NOT enabled. Facetime does not appear in settings.  Went into AppStore and it is not available.

If it is not banned in your country, some middle eastern countries ban facetime. Then it is in your contacts itself. But sounds like its banned where you are. Or at least where you bought the phone from.

  • HT204380 my facetime apps on my iphone 4S dissappeared after upgrading to iOS6 ... please help me find ??

Help.... can anyone advise why my facetime apps on my iphone 4S dissappeared
    after upgrading to iOS6 ....... ????

Yea, there is no standalone app for facetime. Select a contact, and at the bottom is an option to facetime call
There is an app that is free called facedial for facetime
By the way, there is a free IOS 6 book available for download in the Apple bookstore.

  • How can i get FaceTime app? My iPhone 4 doesnt have it

How can i get FaceTime app? My iPhone 4 doesnt have it

On iPhone there is not a FaceTime app just simply tap phone go to contacts at the bottom then tap the add button on the top right hand corner fill in their details if an iPad 2 or iPod Touch 4G enter in their email if iPhone enter in their number. To Check wether FaceTime is enabled  Go Settings -> Phone -> FaceTime. Is it On or Off? To FaceTime the contact just simply Go<Selected Contact<Look Below > Tap FaceTime

  • HT5538 How do I get a FaceTime app on my iPhone 5?

How do I get a FaceTime app on my iPhone 5? I've set up my wife's iPad without any problems and followed the same procedure with the phone but I've had no success. All I have had from Apple is an email stating that my ID was used to sign into FaceTime. Is there a delay before it is activated and will a FaceTime app appear?

Facetime is not an application on the iPhone. It is built into the iOS. You need to go into Settings and activate Facetime. Then you access it via the Contacts app. Check the manual http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/iphone_user_guide.pdf for information. This support document http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4319 also provides info on  using Facetime.

  • HT201272 FaceTime icon missing on iPhone 5. How do I get it back?

Help! FaceTime icon has vanished on my iPhone 5...beginning to wonder if it was ever there!
How do I get it back? It is part of the Apple built-in Apps. I can ask Siri to use FaceTime and it is on the buttons in contacts and both links work... but the icon is not on my home screen anywhere! I have it on my iPad.. so shouldn't it be on my iPhone as well?

You don't have a separate FaceTime app on an iPhone like you do on an iPad, instead you access it via the button at the bottom of a contact in the Contacts app or Phone app.

  • Why can't i have the Facetime App on my iPhone 4?

Why can't I have the Facetime App on my iPhone?

    Very Vague question.
Why do you think that you cannot?
Tap contacts, pick the contact you want to call, scroll down to the facetime button.
    What is your issue?

  • Apps missing from iPhone 5s

There was discussion today regarding a blank screen when accessing the App Store. The App Store seems to be working fine now, but there are some apps missing from my iPhone (ie. Passbook, Netflix, Hangouts, etc.). I have tried powering off and rebooting my phone, but to no avail, the apps are still missing. I have also looked into downloading the apps again from the App Store. The App Store box shows that I can "open" the app from there, but when I tap on that icon, it does nothing. Is this a case where I have to re-sync my phone to iTunes, and hopefully the apps will show up again?

    ok do this next
    reset all settings
    settings-general-reset-reset all settings
    now reconnect to wifi
settings- wifi- click network name- enter password - join
    Peace, Clyde

  • Why isnt there a facetime app for the iphone 4s?

Because all my friends have the app and my phone doesn't....

Your friends must have a ipod.
I read the manual for my iphone and it said that the facetime app is merged with the phone app so when you click on the phone app and click on a contact it should say facetime!
WARNING: make sure your friends have facetime setup!

  • Help to find facetime app in my iphone

i need to find my facetime app after i deleted by mistake  from my iphone

FaceTime is a native iOS app. You cannot delete it. Go to the Spotlight search and type it in. If it is in a folder, it will identify the folder. If that doesn't seem to find it, check Restrictions, to make sure there are no restrictions on it, then you can go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout. The only other explanation is if you have a device that was purchased from one of the Middle Eastern countries. FaceTime is ban in several of them and FaceTime is permanently disabled on those devices. If this is possible, go to Settings>General>About and look for the model number. See if it contains AE.

No, "huge" was not a mistake. I find the phrase "epic failure" to be ridiculous and something primarily used by teenagers with no sense of perspective. I do not use it.
As an actual user, I find the idea of an additional app to make calls redundant. If I'm going to make a call, I make it from the Phone app, of which Contacts is a part.  The true joy of FaceTime over other video calling apps such as Skype or Tango is its tight integration into the phone. Pulling it out into a separate app, while understandable on the iPad and the iPod Touch which have no Phone app, diminishes that. In my opinion, Apple got it precisely right.

lol Seriously? wow epic fail ^^^^^^^^^^
I really hope you're getting paid to haunt these forums. Did you forget the part where you're simply a fanboy and I am an expert in User Experience, Interface Design, and usability? Look kid, you lost this one, but don't give up OK? Everyone can see above how devoted you are to Apple. We get it.  It's just a company that makes gadgets. This latest one is a kinda cool, but... a bit disappointing in several aspects. This is one of them. They really blew it here. It can only be classified as "Epic Fail". Get over it. They'll fix it in the next update.

  • There is no FaceTime app in my iPhone 5s

    I need FaceTime app

Facetime is banned in KSA and UAE. If you purchased the phone there, it has been permanently disabled. If purchased from another country in the Middle East, facetime may be disabled if the phone is unlocked or used outside the country of origin.

There is no facetime app./icon,  never has been.
The manual shows how to use facetime.
Tap contacts, tap the contact you want to facetime, scroll down to the facetime button.
