There is not a thing you can do except get the Apple ID and password of the previous owner...that iPhone is in Activation Lock mode and cannot be unlocked any other way. The Activation Lock is an anti-theft protection that cannot be bypassed. You very well may have a stolen iPhone so try contacting the who you bought it from and get your money back.

withouit the original owners Apple id that iPhone will NEVER work ,nothing anyone can do .
It is an anti theft device to deter theft of iPhones since without that id the iP{hone will never ever work again

Forgive me for my naivity...but it's hard to find an exact answer on the net about this. My situation is that I really want to switch from my blackberry to an iPhone as I own a MBP and would like to stay purely Apple. The problem is that I currently teach in Cuba (am on holiday now in Canada) where I need to use an unlocked phone because there is no big companies there like AT&T, Rogers, etc. I just use pay-as-you-go there. Is it even possible to use an unlocked iPhone without a data plan? Is it possible to have an iPhone where you simply put in a new SIM card depending on where in the world you are and pay as you go? I don't really care about using the phone to surf the internet etc., I can do without that, I just want to use it as a phone, and use calender, etc. It would be nice to be all Apple, and there are some things about my blackberry which I don't really like. It's time for a switch. I know you can buy used iPhones online which are unlocked (I searched for this), but I want to know if I went this way, would I still be able to do software updates when I sync my phone, etc. from Apple..ie: would Apple be 'ok' with me owning one of these or is it 'frowned upon'? Does this make sense what I want? I hope so..any help appreciated!
ThanksI didn't say it was impossible to do so, but if you purchase an officially unlocked iPhone in a country where such an iPhone is sold, you sure can't get any support for the iPhone while in Cuba - from your pay-as-you-go provider in Cuba, and wouldn't get any support from Rogers in Canada for such an iPhone while you are in Canada since the iPhone is sold in Canada as carrier locked with Rogers only.
And I didn't say the warranty is void when moving to another country with a carrier locked iPhone. I said the warranty is honored in the country where the iPhone is sold as new only - big difference between this and voiding the warranty. Hacking an iPhone for any reason does void the warranty. -

Is your friends phone jailbroke? Also are you using the facebook app? If so then you need to ask the developer of the app what the problem is.

We're just fellow users here and have no access to any information about your account. Nor in most cases will Apple be able to give you such information. If your credit card is being charged for purchases that are not showing in your iTunes Store account's Purchase History, contact your bank and report the charges as fraudulent.

2. Unplug the computer's power cord.
3. Wait fifteen seconds.
4. Attach the computer's power cord.
5. Wait five seconds, then press the power button to turn on the computer.
Then zap the PRAM/NVRAM as per > About NVRAM and PRAM
1. Shut down the computer.
2. Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
3. Turn on the computer.
4. Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
5. Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
6. Release the keys.
Then retry the Disc Drive. -

It depends on where you buy the iPhone. If you buy a new iPhone from Apple or an authorized iPhone reseller, the iPhone will probably come with iOS 7 unless the reseller has old stock, which could be the case for an iPhone 4 since Apple discontinued that model quite a while ago.
If you're buying from some other source, there's no way to know what version if iOS the phone will have.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand it can be very frustrating when you cannot sign in, or sign out in this case, to your Apple ID. In this situation you may need to temporarily edit your Apple ID back to the original email address so that you can sign out. Once signed out, edit the Apple ID back to the new email address and sign in. Please use the attached article for further information.
If you're asked for the password to your previous Apple ID when signing out of iCloud
Change your Apple ID temporarily
If signing out and back in to iMessage or FaceTime didn't help, try these steps:
Change your Apple ID to the Apple ID you used previously. You shouldn't need to verify the email address.
Tap Settings > iCloud. Complete these steps only if the Find My [Device] setting is turned on:
Scroll down and tap Sign Out, then tap Sign Out to confirm. If you're using iOS 7 or earlier, tap Delete Account, then tap Delete to confirm.
Tap Keep on My [Device] or Delete from My [Device]. In either case, your data remains in iCloud and will be updated on your device when you sign in to iCloud again.
Enter the password for your previous Apple ID.
Change your Apple ID to the new email address that you want to use. You'll need to verify the email address.
Return to Settings > iCloud and sign in with your new Apple ID.
If you're still asked for your previous Apple ID password, continue to the next step.

I have set up an SQL database in the coldfusion MX administrator and it enables ok. When I refresh the databases tab in dreamweaver it recognises the database. I then select recordset in the bindings tab and select teh database in the drop down menu.
