HT201656 hover feature on show usage does not work in iTunes?

when I am trying to sync my iphone 5S and Ipad mini in iTunes, on the main summary page at the bottom where the color usage bars are.... I see a total amount availabel but when I hover over the color bars, there is no info available.  Nothing happens.  How do I tell what how much space each of those color bars is using?
Using Itunes 11.1.4 and Mac OSX 10.9.1

    What kind of mouse do you have? USB? Have you tried to plug it in - try all the USB ports (maybe there is a problem with one). It should automatically detect it.

    Yes, if you have been backing up on a regular basis.
    If this is your first time backing up, then no.
    you can check edit - preference - backup - see what is listed

  • Video does not Work in iTunes Store please help! annoying problem!

    The video does not work in the itunes store. I get no picture, only sound when i want to preview a music video or a movie trailer. No video at all. However, i can watch my movies and music videos that i already own. Please, is there any smart guy who knows a solution?

    I'm having this same issue. I tried some things but still couldn't get it to work the way it used too.
    It will not play the video portion in iTunes only the audio if I click on the song. If I switch the settings from Music Video to TV show in the info tab, the file plays fine. If I open it in Quicktime, the file plays fine.
    I've tried changing the preferences so that the video will play in the iTunes window, in a separate window, etc. and all it plays is the audio and will show the artwork instead of playing the video.

    I was trying to sync and update my phone with ITunes, about 5 minutes into the process everything stopped.  Now the phone does not work, it will not turn on or off, the screen of the phone shows the Apple Logo and a straight line.  ITunes seems to not "see" the phone.  Suggestions??

  • If a user is no admin, airplay does not work in iTunes

    I am using maverick and iTunes 12.0.1.26. All works well, apart from a strange bug. The airplay in iTunes does not work when the user has no admin rights. The icons show correct blue and it even states that it is connecting to the Apple tv, but the sound is never played on the Apple tv. The airplay of the speaker icon of the OSX works. Giving the user admin rights solves the issue. (tried it several times, it seems to be consistent). Any ideas? I would prefer to have the account for my wife as a standard user. No problems with the older versions of iTunes.

    It is not any OS administrator that can connect as sysdba. It is only the user who installed Oracle that can connect as sysdba this way.

  • The BUY button does not work in iTunes

    iTunes will not allow me to buy music. The BUY button does not work. I can drag a song to my Purchased folder and then the BUY button comes up in my Library! And then I can buy the song. However I want to purchase whole albums, not single songs.

    It really makes it tough to troubleshoot when there is no error message. So what I'm saying is - I am sort of at a loss. Anyway, try this - close all apps on your iPad, reboot the iPad and then try again.
    Tap the home button once. Then tap the home button twice and the recents tray will appear at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button.
    Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

    I have the lastest iTunes software and the lastest IOS and I cannot get it to work anymore.

    How to solve this problem?
    What does "does not work" mean? Crashes on opening? Plays audio but not video? Plays video but not audio? Won't load the file? Won't play on-line content? What file extension are you trying to play? What compression formats are involved? Which QT Player?
    A question mark usually indicates the app decision filtering has fallen through and the app doesn't know what to do. It needs the user to look at the file/system configuration and "fix" something.

  • My play count (& last played) does not work after itunes 11

    I've read many posts claiming if you turn off crossfading that you can repair the new play couny/last playedt problem in itunes 11. That does not work for me ( I have never turned on the crossfading ever ).
    Now when I listen to my audio books on a shuffle (has no screen),  I can't see what chapters I have already listened to (when I plug my ipod back into my desktop).
    Any other advice?

    Apple needs to recognize this issues immediately, I'm a huge fan of Apple products like paulgarb said, it's a good product cause it works, every tv and mobile device in my home are linked because of homesharing, but now it does not work with no seemingly simple solution to solve the issue anywhere in site. I have always stood by Apple products and always recommend them, however I hope I did not put my foot in my mouth, my father has just spent a good amount of time scanning old family pictures and now he wishes to share them on his tv, tried multiple solutions for him with the devices he already has, none would work (ie streaming through googletv, ps3...) so I told him the simple solution is to just get an appletv for $99, he said fine get it for me for Christmas, usually I have a hard tie getting a gift for him, but now I finally have an opportunity to get him a gift I know he wants, but with homesharing issue apple has yet to acknowledge I feel appletv might be a moot point for him. Im praying that my father has not update his itunes yet. It would a great gift if apple could acknowledge the issue and fix it before the 25th.

    The Side Switch doesn’t mute the audio from music, podcasts, movies, and TV shows.

  • Blocked Senders feature in Outlook 2010 does not work

    I have a specific blocked sender
    [email protected] listed in my Blocked Senders list, but emails from that email
    address still go to my Inbox instead of the Junk E-mail folder. 
    We use Exchange for email, and Outlook 2010 as the client.
    Note: this sender is blocked for a specific sender that he configured through Junk E-mail Options in Outlook 2010, and this sender is not blocked at the server level.
    I only have one account set up in Outlook. 
    What do I need to do to get Blocked Senders / Junk E-mail working in Outlook?

    Hi,
    From your description, I suggest you try to check the total size of blocked sender list. As total size of all lists combined cannot exceed 512K. Once the 512K limit
    is reached, Outlook alerts you and additional addresses aren't saved until you remove some from the list.
    If your issue is caused by the limited size, you can add a new registry key value to the following registry key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchangeIS\ParametersSystem\
    Add a new DWORD value of Type Max Extended Rule Size and edit the Value Data, entering the maximum size (in bytes) you want to allow.
    If your issue is not related to limited size, try to keep your junk e-mail filter updated. Each version of Microsoft Outlook that contains a junk e-mail filter receives updates to the data
    file (outlfltr.dat) as part of the Microsoft-wide monthly update released on the second Tuesday of each month. The updated outlfltr.dat is the result of the evaluation of hundreds of thousands of spam messages and constantly increases the filter “catch”
    rate for incoming junk email.
    The recommended way to obtain updates to the Outlook Junk E-mail filter is by turning on the Automatic Updates option in the Windows Security Center.
    If you have done all above but it still not work, try to create a new outlook profile to test this issue.
     Go to Start > Control Panel, click Mail. The title bar of the Mail Setup dialog box contains the name of the current profile. To select a different
    existing profile, click Show Profiles, select the profile name, and then click Properties.
     Click Show Profiles. Choose Prompt for a profile to be used.
     Click Add.
     Type a name for the profile, and then click OK.
     Start Outlook, and choose this new profile.

    When I turn my phone on its side to make screen wider it's not working, is there a setting I need to change?

    double click your home button to get the multitasking bar to come up and swipe your finger from left to right and if there is a lock on the icon on the left it is locked. Just click that icon with a circle arrow to make sure there is no lock and it should work. It will not work on some apps though.

  • Album Art Screensaver does not work after iTunes 9 upgrade

    After I upgraded to iTunes 9 my album art screensaver no longer works. I get the message saying "Your iTunes library does not contain any songs with artwork". I have tried deleting the plist files per another support topic, but this doesn't fix the problem. Ideas?

  • Media controls keys does not work on iTunes?

    My keyboard has those "Media Controls Keys" on it (just like Play or Stop etc.) but it won't work with iTunes, unless iTunes is on the front of all windows. I used to use Windows Media Player and it can work with the Media Controls Keys even the player is minimised. Are there any ways simply changing settings with iTunes and solve the problem?

    I don't have a W541 myself, but here are a few things to check, in no particular order:
    Have you checked with your IT department?  Maybe they set a poilicy to disable the card reader.
    Is the card reader correctly enabled in the UEFI firmware?
    Have you run ThinkVantage System Update and Microsoft Update to confirm all of the various Lenovo and Microsoft updates are installed?
    Do you still have the OS image the device originally shipped with?  If so, does the card reader work under that?
