The songs do play OK in iTunes on the computer, right?
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync all music and resync
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

In iTunes go to the Help menu in the upper menu bar. Then click on iTunes Help. Then on Sync your iPod, iPhone or iPad and follow the instructions.

At the risk of stating the obvious, is your first slide highlighted before you hit play? You mentioned the last blank slide shows up which could mean you have that last slide highlighted. If the last slide is highlighted and you hit play then that is the slide that will show up and if it's your last slide that is all you will see.

HT3529 I have upgraded to iOS7 and now can not get my iMessage to activate. It will not accept my Apple ID and I have tried a new password and restarting my phone but it will not activate. How do I fix this?

IF your imessage is saying waiting for activation then do this:
backup your phone to itunes or icloud.
then on your phone go to settings - general - reset - erase all contents and settings - this will wipe your phone clean.
once the process is done, you can restore from the backup you made, then you should be able to activate your imessage.

Crizzo is right, the best way to charge is with the included power block. That said, the USB cords are interchangable as far as an of us know. (just not power bricks, iPhone and iPod bricks put out 5W of power, the iPad wants 10W and will always say 'not charging' if plugged into less power than it requires even though it will charge, just very slowly)
If you have tried to charge your iPad - with the iPad charger - with multiple cables and multiple computers and get no joy then it's time to head to the apple store and have them check it out. If you can't remember your passcode, you'll have to restore it to remove the passcode, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212.
If you're running iOS 7 with Fid My iPod enabled, in order to restore it you'll have to force it into recovery mode as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808, or erased it using Find My iPhone on icloud.com if your home button isn't working (see http://help.apple.com/icloud/#/mmfc0ef36f).

I'm having a similar problem ... just used my iPad 2 to purchase the Bourne trilogy and it downloaded fine but I did not try to play it right away. Then I plugged the iPad into the computer and it downloaded the SD versions of the movie and I used iTunes to sync my movies. Then I tried to play it and it said it could not open the movie. Since Nov update about a third of my songs have a circle with an exclamation mark inside the circle. These songs will not play on my computer. Message says "The song .... could not be used because the original file could not be found. Would you like to locate it?" I have reloaded these back onto itunes with my own CD collection. They work for a short while, then the same thing happens. I don't know what is causing this or how to fix it.

I finally resolved my problem after spending way too much time on it. I simply handed my 160GB iPod to my husband to put his fav Stones & Beatles songs on and I went back to my 80GB Microsoft Zune which has never disappointed me.
After spending so much time trying to figure this out I did finally take it back to Apple Store who performed a diagnostic and found there was a problem with the device. They replaced it with a refurbished one which has similar issues. All I wanted to do was listen to my music. Was that too much to ask? So I am happy to be free of this problematic device. No more Apple for me!!

Try deleting the entries from the Movies part of your library (i.e. where you are trying to play them) and see if you get the cloud symbol next to them for re-downloading in the Purchased link
As your screenshot shows your account id I've asked the hosts to remove it
