HT201991 How does one write a review for an app?

I would like to write a review for an app I bought from the App Store.
"Locate the item that you would like to write a review for."
Where? In the App Store via the internet (e.g. on my iMac), OR via the App Store button on my iPad Mini?
"Click "Write a Review" in the Customer Reviews section."
How? I could find no active link associated with the Customer Reviews section once I had located the item for which I wanted to write a review.
So the question remains "How does one write a review for an app?" … and, so far as things stand, the instructions provided in the page <http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3928> are, as far as I can tell useless. Certainly, the Apple website and associated instructions have become, for this long-time user, more akin to Microsoft Windows in their impenetrable lack of intuitive, user-friendly ccharacter.
Oh yeh. To add to my 'disgruntledness' … How come there is no iPad Mini option in the Product drop down below?
Where is Steve Jobs when you need him?!

I have been having this issue for months, now--at least 3-4.  I updated my credit card info on my account, thinking maybe that would do it, but NOPE--can't review a single thing I've ever purchased in iTunes--not from my iPhone 5, PC or iPad 2.  Ridiculous, at this point...just remove the ability to review at all, if this is how it's going to be. SO frustrating.

  • How does one transfer CS5 actions for use with CS6?

CS6 installation, which was uneventful, has transferred none of my actions from my copy of CS5. The CS5 actions are located in the actions folder of the APPLICATION/PHOTOSHOP CS5/PRESETS/ACTIONS.  The "actions" folder in application support/adobe in my library is empty, and has always been so.
Only the CS6 default actions are located in the same folder for CS6.
    I use imac i7, lion.
Note that i also have CS3 and CS4 on my machine. This due to recent upgrade to CS5 and recent upgrade to LION, and my general paranoia.
Must i load each action into CS6, one at a time?
    thanks to any and all.

Re: how does one transfer CS5 actions for use with CS6?
On a Mac - There are multiple ways to do this.  I have done them both ways. In order to do this you need to know where you have your actions stored, and you can move them all at once if you have them stored in the same location.
    1. You can load an action ONE AT TIME into your actions palette by:
         A. Open up the action palette and click on the little arrow with 4 little horizontal lines next to it on the upper right corner of the actions palette.
         B. Select "Load Actions" and a Finder window will open up and you can search your computer through this window for your actions.
         C. Click on the action from the Finder window then click 'Open' at the bottom right of the finder window.
         D. To save these so that they appear every time you open up your actions palette, go back to the little arrow at the top right of the actions palette and when the drop down window opens- click on 'Save Actions'. It will select the location where the          actions are currently stored as the place to save them. If you want to change that path, you can do it at this time in the little path window.  I just leave it, since I keep all my actions stored in the same file.
    2. TO MOVE MULTIPLE ACTION SETS AT ONCE
         A. Open up CS6 (or CS5) and move the Photoshop workspace it to the right side of your computer screen so you can see your desktop on the left side.
         B. Open up your Finder search window from your dock (the square blue head icon thingy for those who are new to photoshop). Move this to the left side of your screen so you can see the Photoshop work space on the right and the Finder window          on the left. In the Finder window, navigate to the file where all your actions are stored, select all the actions in the file (command+A will select everything in the file if you are actively inside the open file) or you can select multiple files           individually by continuously holding down the command key and clicking on the different actions you want to move.
         C. With the Photoshop workspace visible on the right, and the actions palette open so you can see that the actions actually transferred - In the Finder window, click the selected actions you want to load and drag them over to the Photoshop           workspace.  I did this without an image open, I just dragged them onto the empty workspace.  The actions should all appear immediately in the actions palette that is open.
         D. To save these so that they appear every time you open up your actions palette, go back to the little arrow at the top right of the actions palette and when the drop down window opens click on 'Save Actions'. It will select the location where the           actions are stored as the place to save them. If you want to change that path, you can do it at this time in the little path window.  I just leave it, since I keep all my actions stored in the same file.
    I hope this helps.
and I hope there are no typos.

  • Why my full name appears when I write a review for an app?

When I write a review for an app, my full name appears! I would like to use a pseudo but it seems that I can't!
Does somebody have/had the same problem?

I just wrote a review to see what happens.  The name under your review will be the same name as it appears in this forum.  Only way to change that is to create a new forum account with the name you would like to appear in the reviews.

  • I can't write a review for an app in the App Store

I cannot write a review for an app in the App Store. Every time I try, there's a message popping out saying " in order to write a customer review for this item, you must have purchased or downloaded it first". But I already downloaded the app. Please help.
    P.S The app was Mathletics.

I have the same problem with 2 other apps from the same developer, in my case Restaurant Story and Fashion Story. No problems with other apps. That means something... TeamLava is the culprit.

How do you write reviews on iTunes from the computer, or can you? I would like to write a review on a series of lectures I found on iTunesU but cannot find where to do this.

Normally there will be a "write a review" link in the Customer Reviews section on the page for the class in iTunes U.

  • How Does One Backup a Downloadable-Only Software App?

Plan to purchase new Final Cut Pro X but discovered it is only available as a download from the App Store without the usual CD/DVD for one's files. Given this, how is one to keep a copy for future use if upgrading to a new platform or rebuilding one's existing hard drive etc.?

    Dah.veed!
Thank you for the prompt response to my question. Much appreciated. I can now go ahead and purchase FCP X knowing there is a way to maintain a back-up copy for future use.
I noticed your long association with Mac! I started in 1986 with with an SE, gave gone through seven different platforms in the interim and and currently use a 24" iMac.

  • How do I leave a review for an app that I downloaded on the iPad?

I downloaded an app on the iPad (not through another device) and there's no option for me to leave a review from the iPad itself. I log into iTunes on my laptop and there's no option there either; it prompts me to download it... it's already installed!

In the iPad App Store app, find the app (which you can do from the Purchased tab at the bottom), go to its description page, and scroll down - just above the current reviews should be 'Write a Review >'

  • Can't write a review for an app I downloaded

I downloaded 'Hospital Story' and want to write a review.  I've tried both on my iPhone and MBP.  It won't let me write a review stating that I first need to purchase the app.  I am currently playing the game on my iPhone, and when I log into iTunes on my MBP it shows downloaded.  Any ideas?
    Thank you

  • Using a PCI-6534 card, how does one write and read from the board simultaneously after being triggered on the StartTrig input ?

I've copied two NI-developed VI's into a single VI. The first VI is the LV 'Buffered Pattern Input-Trig VI' under examples/daq/digital/653x. Using an external data generator, I send it a pulse on StartTrig, a clock on REQ1 and data on DIOA0. The start pulse is negative going so I set the front panel input to trigger on "falling edge" with clock set to 'external'. This VI is configured as Port 0 and Group 0. Once this VI is triggered I need to then start another VI which is simply the Buffered Pattern Output VI that also ships with LV. This VI is configured on Port 2, Group 1. This VI is used to simply send out a previously d
efined array of data on DIO C0, C1 and C2.
So, I receive a Start Trig, then clock in data, and then immediatly want to send out data. My problem is that I can't figure out when my receiving VI gets triggered on the StartTrig input. If I know when the trigger occurs, then I can wire this condition to a case statement and activate the second, or write VI. Without having the Trigger condition be met to enable the output VI, the problem is that it always outputs without even be triggered. So, where or how do I tap to find out when the StartTrig happens ? In other words, how do I know when the receiving VI has received a StartTrig pulse. There's got to be a way to do this, and I need to run in continious mode, so I can keep receiving and sending out data over and over again. Any ideas ? If your answer is to look at the examples, please tell me exact and specific examples, because I have not been able to find any examples directly related to my goal. thanks.

    Nestor-
I tried your first suggestion of connecting ACK1 to ACK2. But, I get Error 10010 at Digital Buffer Control when I run the VI. I've added an array of 32 ones and zeros to the output VI so that I have some data to write. What's really interesting is when I have a scope probe on ACK1 and ACK2 which are now common, the voltage level is less than 5 volts, around 4.7, but there is something wrong with the signal, a few spikes, I've seen this before, like 2 signals are trying to drive the same output or something. When I remove the connection between ACK1 and ACK2 the signal looks perfect since ACK1 is being driven by my data generator. This leads me to believe that you can't connect ACK1 to ACK2, or atleast you can't do it with the way I have the VI'
s configured. Also, I have a scope probe monitoring DIOC0 (since I'm writing to Port 2,which is Port C) and I don't see any data coming out, which makes sense since I get the error mentioned above.
In terms of my configuration, I have 2 VI's on the block diagram. I have Buffered Pattern Input-Trig.VI with the following settings:
    Group: 0
    Device: 1
    Port List: 0
    Buffer Size: 1000
    Clk Soruce: External
    Trigger Type: Start Trigger
Trigger Condition: Trigger off Falling Edge
    # of pretrigger points: 0
For the 'writing VI' I copied the Buffered Pattern output-Trig.VI with the following setup:
    Device: 1
    Group: 1
    Port List: 2
    #of updates: 1000
    Clock Source: Internal
Trigger Condition: Trigger on falling edge
So, do you have any ideas on what might be wrong ? Just realized that I can attach files, so my VI is attached.
    thanks.

  • How does one write to individual digital lines accross many DIO-96 ports?

I want to be able to write to any individual DIO-96 line without having to repeatedly init. The available vi's can set up only 24 lines at a time. If it is desired to write to a line outside of those 24, another 24 lines must be initialized, then to return to the first 24 lines, those must be initialized once again. Very clumsy! Does anyone know how to init all lines one time and then allow random access to all 96 lines without further initialization?
    Thanks,
    CBD

    Hi Tom,
try to use (or at least to insert) that control in another environment (like a Visual Basic form) in order to check if it's working properly. Also, check if you have the DLL with the same name in your system folder - this control it's just a simpler way to use that dll.
You can use Write to Digital Line.VI, but pay attention to ITERATION terminal - if it is 0(default) LV will call DIO Port Config (find details in help).
    Hope I understood the problem...

  • HT4759 How does one request a refund for an iCloud account you don't want. There seems to be no easy way of doing so unless I pay 20 bucks to speak with someon

I am a relatively new Apple user and I purchased an iCloud account in November and then another one in December, thinking that I needed an account for each of my devices (3).  When I found out this was the case I tried to reply to the email confirmation address for a refund and it came back as undeliverable. Tried to contact support but in order to talk to anybody I had to pay 20 dollars!! Why is it so hard to buy into it but oh so hard to get a refund?

Here are the screenshots for what it's worth.

'''Again, when I set my DNS server to automatically detect the servers both problems disappear and I have no issues at all.'''
IMO opendns is either doing this on purpose (unlikely) or they're under some sort of attack/being used to attack the specific torrent sites although I'm open to other explanations. I believe using the automatic setting for DNS is using my own ISP's DNS servers (which again, work fine... but still...)
I'd rather not use Google's public DNS servers as Google is to commercial these days and I think there's potential privacy issues.
'''Again I have changed the setting for DNS servers back and forth several times to duplicate/verify the issue(s)... and the issues only happen with the opendns servers.'''
