HT202157 history channel on apple tv

Is it possible to get history channel on apple tv?

There is no native app. If they have an IOS app that is enabled for airplay then you can stream that way, should you have an IOS device.

need the link to activate PBS channel on apple tv. the pbs.org/activate is not working.

Let me ask the question differently. Is anyone not having this problem? Is anyone able to watch the History Channel, or Lifetime, or A&E on their Apple TV using Verizon FIOS as a provider?

  • Apple TV History Channel, H2, A&E, Lifetime Apps not activating

There seems to be something wrong with activating History Channel/H2, A&E and Lifetime with your provider. You go to the website HISTORY.com/activate and put in the Activation Code _ _ _ _ _ _ _. You will get excited because it will say SUCCESS! Your device is now activated. Happy Viewing! Then unlike the other activations the channels/TV shows do not automatically start playing like it has for every other channel (ABC, ESPN, HBO GO etc.). So you back out of the activation instructions on the TV. You still see a lock on the episode you wanted to view. If you click on the episode you'll get the same instructions with a different activation code.
Has anybody had any success activating these applications on TV?

It looks like this is a Safari issue. I did the activation using Firefox on my Mac and it worked immediately. I tried to use my Mac my iPhone my iPad  and my iPod touch always with Safari and it never activated properly.

  • History channel xfinity

Trying to watch Top Gear on the history app on Apple TV. It requires me to log in on line, but my cable service provider, Comcast XFinity is not listed at his story.com/activate. I do have the history channel with my Comcast prescription, but do not know why xfinity is not supported.

That is a question for History Channel and Comcast, not Apple.

  • Bought Mac Pro in San Francisco and I'm now located in remote area in China. Need to know does a Mac Pro 15 play Blue Ray Disc from History Channel. My unit rejects them.

Bought a Mac Pro 15 in San Francisco, but I'm now located in a remote area of China. I would like to know if the Mac Pro 15 can play a commercially produced Blue Ray disc from the History Channel. My unit rejects them. Other disc by Pixar, Disney which are not designated Blue Ray work. I was told when I bought the Mac Pro it play

No they don't unless You buy an external BD-burner with Playback program (if they ever exist).
As it looks like Apple is leaving the DVD disk format too so Blu-Ray is not on the list as I read Mac Worlds and alike.
I use a PlayStation 3 - and it works very well.

  • Anyone know the History of the Apple symbol?

I'm probaby posting in the wrong section, but does anyone know the history behind the apple symbol? How and why was an apple chosen?
    Thanks

The original logo for Apple Computer Co. had the look of a wood-cutting or block-print or tattoo. It featured Sir Isaac Newton sitting under an apple tree. You can see that logo here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Originalapplelogo.jpg (You'll have to type in the full link, sorry.)
The apple with a bite taken out of it is a later development, and its symbolic meaning is probably easy enough to interpret for most people who've read Genesis.
Incidentally, the original Apple I was priced at $666.66....

  • Can I clear my repair and any past cases history in my Apple Support Profile?

Pretty much as the head line says, you know that when you schedule a repair or open a selfsolve case it all gets to stay in there as a history in your apple support profile, and I'm wondering what If I would like to clean it? I want to give my profile a clean look specially when I sold some of the items that had repairs and was registered but no more
You assistance would be much appreciate it
And if no, I wonder why don't you make such a thing! My case for example, I sold the laptop, why should I be reminded of the bad experience I had with its repairs??

There's no way to do that I'm aware of. You can suggest it Apple via their feedback page:

  • Confused about history channel?

Is the "History Channel" I see on the EPG meant to be the full blown channel with a daily schedule or have BT just bought  rights to a few old series?
I've been looking forward to watching the second series of Mud Men this week but I can never find them.
I'm sure series 1 was avalible some months ago but it has disappeared from any listing.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

BT has no channels as such.
It has a library of ON Demand content from a variety of broadcasters like the History Channel. What appears there is a selection of programmes and like the rest of the service they only stay for a limited time before being replaced or recycled.

  • HT4799 how do I add channels to apple tv

    Hi,
I would llike to find out why my Apple TV does not have channels such as Bloomberg, ESPN, Skynews and others.  I have a Malaysia apple ID?
Is there a way to add these channels to my Apple TV

It is not possible to add channels to the ATV.
Not all features are available in all regions.

  • Can anyone access the 3 Disney Channels on Apple TV?

All were working fine not 2 days ago, now none work on any of my 3 Apple TV's. Just get an "Accessing Disney (Junior, XD, Channel)" and a pinwheel of death that goes no where. I updated the software on a couple days ago when prompted. Perhaps that is messing things up? I even reset one of my devices to facotry settings (ugh!) and still doesn't work. Every other channel works, except for the Disney's. I double checked to see if they dropped my provider and they haven't. I can access them on my macbook air, just not Apple TV.
I have 3 year old twins who need their Jake and the Neverland Pirates!

having same issue with comcast and also in memphis. got this response from disney. Thank you for being patient with me. I do apologize, I am still actively researching why the WATCH Disney Junior app will not load on your Apple TV.
Please know that your issue appears to be intermittent and we advise continuing to try again at a later time. Our team is continually working to improve the quality of your online viewing experience, and your feedback is a much valued part of this process.
I will continue checking into this matter and will email you if I find any information that will get you back on the WATCH Disney Junior app. Once more, I am sorry that it has taken this long for me to get back to you.
Please feel free to email me if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you for choosing WATCH Disney Junior.
    Have a SPECTACULAR day!

  • Missing channels on Apple TV

    Apple TV Model:A1469
Apple TV software: 7.0.2 (6915) I live in Brazil and recently bought a third generation Apple TV.
After setting up all the wifi / log-ins etc. I started browsing and thought that the available channels were a bit limited just a load of mainstream movies, Netflix, a few other strange ones and a load of USA based sport channels.
Then I was at a friend's place and he showed me that he had a load more options including channels like ABC and HBO (on the main menu) on his than mine and he has exactly the same model and OS version!
Channels available on mine are (in alphabetical order):
    Bloomberg
    Crackle
    Crunchyroll
    Dailymotion
    Esporte Interativo
    Flickr
    icloud photos
    imovie theatre
    KORTV
    MLB.TV
    NBA
    Netflix
    NFL Now
    NHL
    Podcasts
    Qello Concerts
    Radio
    Trailers
    Vevo
    Vimeo
    WSJ Live
    WWE Network
YouTube It really doesn’t make any sense that there should be a whole lot missing, especially as one has to pay for them. It’s like a shop that doesn’t want to show what it’s selling.....ridiculous!!!
    I have also already tried:
deleting the log-in / user and reconfiguring from scratch.
Choosing a different region in settings > Menu > General > Region (tried both UK and USA).
Settings > Menu > General > Region Format (no change)
Settings > Menu > General > Software update (up to date)
Settings > Menu > General > reset (this reconfigures it to factory default and one has to re-set up all the log-ins etc.).
Restart (doesn’t do anything, just a general restart). So I would really appreciate some info about this and if anyone knows of a solution or what would cause this.

Ahh ok, that old one. So it seems like I will have to trick the ATV to think I'm in the US.
    Hack time!
Perhaps, but it has the advantage of being true. Also, if you do not have a cable or satellite account that already gets some of those "missing" channels, hacking will not do you any good. They need to be verified to use.
