Hi, cant update IO6. After downloading the update and processing it through Itunes on my mac.... and I have a factory unlocked Iphone 4S. Cant update the software. Waring message is say this devise is not eligible for build. Please help.
Download iTunes using the tab at the top of this page. Then run the update with iTunes closed.

I have an iPod 4.2.1 version and recently when I try to download an app it is either incompatible or reuires a newer version of OpenGLS. is there any way I can update the software I have because I literally cant download a single app. Thank you.
No, you can't update your 2G iPast past iOS 4.2.1. The graphics hardware on the 2G does not support the latest Open GLS.
Yes, there are not that many apps that still works with a 2G with 4.2.1. -
Today when trying to download new songs to my Ipod touch a message popped up stating that my Ipod can not be used because I need to update the software to 10.6.3 and to go www.itunes.com. I cant find where to update my Ipod touch to the version on the website. HELP!!!

My iphone hangs any time.I see a call coming but i cannot attend. If you used your backup to restore the data after it got returned, set it up as new device and don't use the backup data afterwards. It seems that some data inside the backup are corrupt. Follow this article and set up the account info and other setting manually after that:

i cant update my software as it always prompted me ,your start up disk is full and not enough space, when i had done the deleting some of my documents and stuff that i dont need it.
I use CCleaner from the AppStore to delete the 'useless' stuff. It's free and works great for me

Ive backed up my phone and restored it after updating the software and now a lot of my apps are greyed out and i cant access them via the phone interface
I can only access them via the App storeI did plug it into itunes and then backed it up to the cloud (im actually wondering if thats my problem)
then restored it from the cloud.
Maybe I should restore it from the computer (when its plugged into itunes?)

My iPod updated by itself without a wifi connection. It told me to connect it to iTunes so I did and I updated the software and everything. After it was updated, my wifi button was greyed out and I don't know why. I sent it in to get fixed and the Apple store did NOTHING. I still have about 48 days left on my one year waranty and I don't know what to do to fix the problem. Please, does anyone know how to fix this issue without selling it or replacing it? I've tried all the troubleshooting techniques and nothing is working. Someone help.

I used the updater on a photo Ipod and on a mini Ipod. The photo ipod had no issues but the mini ipod is presenting the same problem as Simon's. After updating the software, the screen asks to plug the ipod to the wall to flash the card. After doing so it showed me the apple logo and then back to asking to plug it to the wall. It's just stuck there. I have tried resetting it several times with no luck. I tried to plug it to the computer to restore it but since its stuck asking to plug it to the wall the computer can't read it. I tried to put it in disc mode and didnt work either. Any ideas on how to get out of this mess? Thank you -

i cannot update the software , it is always unsuccessfuluse ATV and go to TEST your network. Keep trying until you choose the correct speed for your network then the test will be successful. Then do the software update.

i have an activation problem with my iphone 3gs. i updated the software to io6 using itunes but now the phone will not complete activation because it keeps saydin the activation server is not available and to re try later. ive been trying for 6 hours but it still wont activate. if i try using itunes then it sayd no sim inserted when there is one inserted, what can i do?
You are right, but how could i send it to Apple? when the phone company first replaced my iphone they had in stock alots of iphones and they just sent mine back to Apple and gave me a new one, so all i did is to give them my phone, but now how could i sent it to Apple? and i cant send it by myself, and the store wont do that, its a lost for them.. so sending it to Apple wasnt an option from the begining.
and for the record, i dont think the store where i bought it is an authorized shop.. its just a store who boughts phone's from Apple in a low price and sells it in much more money.. -
I cant update my software. It downloads updates , then says, 'an error has occurred and updates have not been installed'. I am now behind 6 months on updates. Any idea how to fix this?
