My apple tv is unresponsive. It is "stuck" on the screen saver of rotating pictures. I have tried holding down the menu and down arrow for 6 seconds and unplugging as suggested. Any suggestions?

I m using a home wifi connection with 15Mb. The router is from Telecom Argentina.
I m having trouble with the videso from my Mac and from Itunes (Itunes festival for example). The signal is being inerrumpted all the time.
I can´t see this videos like this!!!

I'm in the US and ours is 50 Mbps and I ran into this issue last night for the first time ever. When it's having a problem shut it down and you can perform a reset on it which can be found here:

Mainly what I would do is if the entire show/movie is freezing up on you start loading it and pause it to give it a good buffering period, cook dinner or get snacks ready, and then come back and play it. Beyond that you just have to wait for Apple servers to not be overwhelmed and lagging which is what I'm guessing is actually causing the problems with the new addition of "iTunes Radio" on the servers (assuming the iTunes Radio working on the same servers as iTunes itself which I'm betting it is since all the music streams out of the entire iTunes stock)

Thanks Brian- I am not connecting it with iphone teethering. I am using it with my DSL wifi.
I am using it with ethernet cable then its working fine.If i am trying to use it with WIFI then its giving error.
I tried using Netwrok testing but its giving same error.

My apple tv doesn't show up on the TV channel. I followed Apple's instructions to reset it by holding down the Menu button and the Down button until rapid blinking light. Then unplugged it and waited. After replugging it you see the Apple symbol on the TV momentarily, then it disappears and the tv reverts to its default channel. I have tried the above 3 times but no change. Is there any other way I can reset or restore it to function again? Perhaps connecting it to my Macbook?

I have an earlier version Apple TV and I have tried to update it several times using several methods. I am connected to the internet via ether and not wireless and teh signal is good. I can stream without any issues ever. the update is downloaded fine but not installed. I get a failure to update message. I have tried to updat normally, restore, reset, etc...... I have no more ideas.

If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
    1.    Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
    2.    Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
    3.    Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
    4.    Open iTunes.
    5.    Select your Apple TV in the Devices list, and then click Restore.
(You may already have a micro USB cable if you have a camera or other digital device)

That doesn't rule out a network issue, as it can impact devices differently. Intermittent issues are most often related to wifi issues. Try connecting via ethernet. Go to istumbler, netstumbler or similar to get a report of the network, look for signal strength and noise.

I have a 2nd generation Apple TV which software I regularly updated whenever there was an update until version 4.3.
After that whenever I check for an update it always states that the software is up to date.
What do I need to do to update it to the latest software?

It is getting very frustrating to have Apple products.
Constant software upgrades and product releases seems to be the sole focus of Apple.
Apple does not offer hardware repair services. I can understand this policy when products do not fail. But it seems that this is not the case with Apple, as it becomes frequent that products fail just after the warranty period.
New software releases also destroyed the value of a "GREAT EXPERIENCE". YouTube, Google Maps, ... all features that are deleted with the latest IOS and that Apple could not properly replace.
It seems that Apple products are not 'consummable' products but 'disposable' products.

Apple has hardware repair services, on repairable hardware. Apple just doesn't repair iPads, from day one Apple has always replaced iPads, either under warranty or as a reduced cost out-of-warranty purchase.
