The following article provides further information and could very well help get your Apple TV and your television cooperating again.
If HDCP authentication does not succeed, you may see one of the following symptoms:
A message may appear on your television stating "This content requires HDCP for playback. HDCP isn't supported by your HDMI connection."
You may see periodic bands of static, or full screen static, flashing across your TV screen.
If you are experiencing either of the symptoms above, try playing the same content again for at least another 10 seconds. If the issue persists, try the following steps until the issue is resolved:
Connect your Apple TV (2nd generation) directly to your HDTV using an HDMI cable.
Set your Apple TV and HDTV to off or sleep mode
From the Apple TV interface, select: Settings -> Sleep Now.
Turn off your TV and wait for about 10 seconds.
Turn your TV back on.
Press the Select button on your Apple TV remote to wake your Apple TV.
Some HDTVs may need a firmware update. Consult your TV manufacturer's user manual or online support pages for additional information about how to update your TV's firmware.
If available, try using a different HDMI to HDMI cable, such as an Apple HDMI to HDMI cable, directly between your Apple TV (2nd generation) and 720p HDCP-compatible HDTV.

Some cable providers.....like mine, a well known company......seem to take anywhere from a few moments to sometimes up to 30 minutes to allow their equipment back at the cable company to fully reset and issue a new fresh connection.
So, it would not hurt to leave things powered down for 15-20 minutes or more when you perform the reset that John Galt suggests.

Are the connections on each end nice and snug? Has this Shuffle ever previously worked with this PC or this the first time you have tried connecting it?
It worked previously, can you think of anything on the PC that might have changed since the last time the Shuffle was able to successfully connect? Could be something such as an update to an application or the installation of some new software.
Does the device charge when it is connected? Do you get any status from the LED indicators when plugged in? Does the Shuffle otherwise function as expected?

Settings>iTunes and App Stores>Tap your ID and sign out. Reboot your iPad.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Go back to the settings and sign back in again and see of it works now.
If it doesn't work, post back with some information that might help us help you. Describe what you are doing in some detail and it might let us better understand why this is happening.

Thank You for taking the time to look at this , my apple time capsule will not share ethernet when joined to my current network , the only way i can get the ethernet ports working is connecting a ethernet port from my airport express to my time capsule and that enables the ethernet ports (which is fine)
So I'm Wondering Why This Works
My Current Set up is
Netgear Router Downstairs (Main Router)
Apple Airport Express upstairs (set to join existing network)
Belkin 8 Port Network Switch ( Ethernet cable from express to switch) (3 other devices connected to switch as well)
Time Capsule upstairs (cable running from switch to time capsules wan port)

So I'm wondering why i have to go around the houses to allow these 3 ethernet ports on the time capsule to work

Because Apple decided it should be so.. and it was!
The Airport Express can join a wireless network (non-apple) and still keep the ethernet port alive.
When Airport Extreme or TC join a non-apple wireless network, they shut off the ethernet ports.
It was a decree from on high.. there is some technical stuff about MAC addresses hidden behind the router.. but it also makes people have to buy another router they don't actually need.. hence good for the Apple bottom line. And what Apple deems is good for it.. is plainly good for you.. !!
The solution is to use the airport express downstairs.. plugged into your netgear router.. and tick allow extend network.. and set the TC upstairs to extend a wireless network. In this mode the TC will keep the ethernet active.
Isn't it fun when you have Apple working hard to close the loop.

I´m new - my englisch is not the best but i will try to explain. I want to upadte my "apple tv 2" with the new released Version (5.0). I tried it since 5 days, but my "apple tv 2" won´t find the new version although i can read that there is a new update available. The Wifi-Network works good, it´s possible to watch filmtrailers and other content. When i try to start the update, there is the "normal" load optic, but it will not start and it failed. After two minutes it stopped and i should try again later.
I´m thinking to update with itunes (usb connection from pc to apple tv), but i don´t really know, how that works. Meanwhile i found the newest "apple tv"-software and i have this new version on my pc.
Who can help me ???

Let me ask some more questions for better understanding:
Is there a difference to load the new software with usb / Itunes ? Will Itunes find automatically the new apple TV update 5.0 (we talk about the latest and newest update with the different user surface)
If "my" itunes won´t find the new software update, is the are chance or possibility to install the downloaded version, which i found in the internet. It is the version 1_5.0_9B179b_Restore.ipsw (487 MB size)? How will i get this version into Itunes?
Maybe you can answer my new questions.

Download Silverlight. QUIT ALL BROWSERS mount/open Silverlight.
Install - After install
run Disk Utility DiskFirstAid: repair permissions (a good practice to follow after any install update).
Restart
Now open browser (what browser are you using)? If Safari:
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Advanced tab.
Select: Show Develop menu in menu bar
Now from the menu bar click Develop > Empty Caches
Visit Netflix

My laptop has 3 ports (Microphone, and 2 headphone ports), and I've got a VERY bad external mic, that I might be giving to someone else, because I have Earpods. The only thing is, the Earpods don't have a microphone cable as well as a headphone cable, and the Earpod microphone doesn't work with Windows 7! Can anyone give me the drivers for it or something? I really love the quality of these headphones and it also means I don't have to lean towards my microphone (my desk won't allow me to move the mic any closer to me). Any help is greatly appreciated.
