On 1 January I began download of latest iPhoto on MacBook Pro - 9 hours and some minutes to download. Now, 3 January we have downloaded 325 MB of 1.15 GB and now it's calculating...... 7 hours 1 minute remaining. HELP !! Recently downloaded OS X Mountain Lion.
Well, could be anything from crappy ISP, to someone stealing bandwidth. I gues you can just wait it out for another 7 hours.

Try download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In Library Manager it's the FIle -> Rebuild command)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. -
Just upgraded my iPad to IOS5 and when the download was completed, a window said that there was an error and it could not restore. Now I have a black screen with the Apple logo and the circle lines. None of the buttons respond. Help, please!!
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. Maybe this will let the iPad reboot and then you may need to restore again but see if this helps to start the iPad first.

I downloaded two albums yesterday and only half of each of the songs have downloaded when I play them. There is nothing to say it is waiting for the rest to download and I have checked for available downloads...help please!
no, i had to leave so i logged out and when i opened itunes on my mac and went into the downloads tab it only had one paused download listed. i resumed the download for the one movie listed and the other one never showed up. its been about two weeks since i initially bought the two movies so i figured something was wrong.

Please help me. I want to sync all of my data on my iPad 3, my Macbook Pro and my Mac Desktop. I have created an iCloud account and what I see on my Macbook Pro is also on my iPad. How do I now download the data which I think is on my iCloud account to my Mac Desktop?
I have already gone into preferences on my desktop, found the iCloud and set up my preferences under my account. Am I missing something?

Please read this whole message before doing anything. This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it. Step 1 The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account. Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. For instructions, launch the System Preferences application, select Help from the menu bar, and enter “Set up guest users” (without the quotes) in the search box. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.” While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin. Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem? After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Its all in the title. I am trying to use bootcamp to download windows 7 on my macbook pro mountain lion, but I keep getting this error. I tried going to Disk Utility, and my active volume already is formatted under Mac OS Extended (Journaled), so I don't know how to fix it. I already backed up the volume on an external harddrive. Also, everything under the volume I wanted to edit is greyed out, and when I try to restore the backup that I created via time machine, it pops up with another error that says "Could not unmount volume "/" (Resource Busy).
Please be gentle, I'm used to using windows and don't know like anything about computers. If someone could give me a detailed explanation for these errors and a solution of how I could correctly download windows on my mac I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!Try a restart.
If that doesn't fix the problem, shut down the computer and then power it back up. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. The boot up is significantly slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a directory check, and disables all startup and login items, among other things. If the system operates normally, there may be 3rd party applications which are causing a problem. Try deleting/disabling the third party applications after a restart by using the application unistaller. For each disable/delete, you will need to restart if you don't do them all at once.

You can't change the Apple ID that the Authorize dialog comes up with by default. It's showing you that Apple ID for a reason: it means that the items you want to play were purchased using that Apple ID and therefore you need to authorize your computer with that Apple ID. Changing the Apple ID given completely defeats the entire purpose.
If you don't know the password to the given Apple ID, then you will no longer be able to play those items. -
