HT202159 What if my app download is not paused?

I purchased a program from the APP store and the download is in a "waiting" mode.  This is a 16.6 Gb file and 7.4 Gb has downloaded.  It appears to be stuck.  How can restart the download?
Also, if anyone can provide a phone number to a Apple Support (not the Apple Store) where I can talk to a human (esp. in the USA), I will be VERY impressed as Apple support appears non-existent.

  • HT1766 Restart the app download after a pause in the restore process.

I need to restart the "restore" function on my replacement iPhone after leaving the apple store before all downloads were complete. How do I reactivate the restore after I paused it when I went off wifi? Tapping individual app icons does not work.

As far as I know, if you restart the Mac with a paused app download, the download will be lost, so it's still present in OS X Mountain Lion. If you have to download a big application, I recommend you to put your Mac in sleep mode after pausing the download, so you won't lose the download and you will be able to resume it whenever you want

  • Apps downloaded do not appear in the library

I just bought my 4th gen iPod touch yesterday. I used iTunes' store and chose a bunch of apps, and they would download in itunes. Now most of them do not appear in the "apps" section of the library, so I cannot sync them to my ipod. some of them are free some are paid. what should I do? I've looked at the support forums, google, etc and nothing. I've restarted itunes, the ipod, auth/deauth the account... nothing changes.
    thanks,
    uriel

    Edward:
Do you have a Roll 816 visible in iPhoto?
    Do you Twango?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.

  • Ringtone apps - Downloaded, but not to the Music folder so I can't use them

I'm a little frustrated.  I downloaded a ringtone app and as per instructions, I should be able to access the ringtones in the music folder.  they downloaded, but they are not in the music folder so I can't use them and I need some new ringtones!!  Please help!

I don't find an app called "ultimate ringtone"...must not be available to me. You might want to read the reviews to see if anyone has hints there. You also might want to contact the developer to find out what you need to do with their app.

  • HT1386 My Music and Apps downloaded but not my audiobooks? Its says 7 when looking to the left. But tab up top says 0??

When looking on the left in Itunes says I have 7 books (audio book). When looking on the top tab says I have 0 books. They will not download to my Iphone. All my music and apps did however..

Hey Sierra, You can do just what you have stated. My question, what is your "other"? If it is over 1.5 GB you most likely have corrupt files. Doing a Restore to New, Factory restore should correct it. Just make sure you make a full backup of all information on your iPod to your computer before you restore, so you don't lose your stuff, contacts, videos, pictures, non-iTunes music, etc, use the cable and connect with your computer. Then, via cable, connect to your computer, run the Restore to new, don't use your backup. Treat this iPod as if it was your first one ever. When restore is done, set up and add what info you wish to install on this iPod. The music apps etc you purchased should be on your computer, if not you should be able to retrieve purchased apps and music from iTunes. Any music, videos, apps not purchased from iTunes will be lost to you if you do not save them to your computer or the cloud first. When your done, make a current Backup and you should good to go. Hope this helps. Good luck. Cheers.

  • App Store Apps downloaded but not showing up in Applications folder

I purchased some apps from the App Store while logged into a Parental Controlled user account. The apps are not showing up in the limited Application folder in the doc. I logged out an logged back into the Admin folder and made sure the new apps were selected in the available parental controlled apps. Then I logged back into the restricted user account and the apps are not there. As well, the game center downloaded apps are not showing up. Not sure how that "game Center' is supposed to work. You would figure when you download an app it would be available right away, no?

When you have "Use Simple Finder" and "Limit Applications" selected, you do not have an Applications folder. The Apps Are Selected in the parental Control panel under "Apps" > Allowed Apps> App Store.
They should show up somewhere. I would assume in the Apps folder.

  • HT202159 what to do, if i see not "resume", but "an error has ocurred"?

I recently bought the new lion os, but i am not able to download. I see in there, that my error is "an error has ocurred".
Please help me to download my purchased app.

    Hi...
Make sure your Mac meets Lion's requirements:
Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor
    2GB of memory
OSX v10.6.6 or later (V10.6.8 recommended)
    7GB of available spare
From here > Apple - OS X Lion - Technical specifications
If you have anti virus software installed, disable that.
Turn off the Firewall in System Preferences > Security
Make sure there's enough free disk space.  Right or control click the MacintoshHD icon. Click Get Info. In the Get Info window you will see Capacity and Available. Make sure there's a minimum of 15% free disk space.

  • App download buttons not working.

    iPhone 3GS.
Whenever I go into a specific app in the app store, none of the buttons work properly.
    1) clicking on the price no longer downloads the app,
    2) the ratings button does nothing,
    3) the 'tell a friend' and 'git this app' buttons jump back to the top of the app window,
    4) pictures usually don't show up.  They usually appear as five gray rectangular boxes with white borders (though in one app one too-large-for-the-window picture shows up (see pic),
    5) the 'app support' button still goes to the developer's website.
    6) the 'top in-app purchases' banner is just text now.
    Has anyone experienced this?

Have you tried shutting down the apps running in the background or restarting your phone? If you have too many apps sitting in the background you may not have enough memory to display all the App Store Buttons.
    Shut down all multitasking apps
    1. Double press the home button to display the multitasking drawer
    2. Tap and hold any app icon until it wiggles and displays the x button overlay
    3. Tap the x buttons to shut all the apps in the drawer down
    4. Press the home button to close the drawer
    Reset / Restart the Phone
    1.  Press and hold BOTH the Power and Home buttons at the same time
    2. Wait for the Slide to Shut Down screen to appear AND disappear
    3. Continue holding both buttons down until the silver apple logo appears
    4. Release both buttons and wait for the phone to restart
Check out the App Store and see if the problem has cleared up.
    Hope this helps.

  • ITunes 10.5 pause downloads does not pause downloads

I have just installed iTunes 10.5 for Mac
It decided to download some old TV shows I had purchased a few months ago, which I don't want it to do, but there is nothing I can do to stop the downloads (other than shutting down iTunes or disconnecting from the internet)
In the Store > Downloads panel I can see the downloads coming down. I have tried:
    - Right-Click > Pause on each item . Does nothing
    - Right-Click -> Delete on each item. Pops up a message box where I can Cancel or Remove, Remove does nothing
    - Press the Pause icon to the right of the download. Does nothing
    - Press the Pause All button at the bottom of the screen. Does nothing
How do I stop these old TV programs from downloading? I don't want them on this Mac and downloading them is just wasting my bandwidth.

I had the same problem, but with an earlier version of iTunes, but when I upgraded it the problem solved automatically

  • Can not open new apps downloaded on my iphone, can not open new apps downloaded on my iphone

i have downloaded new apps fr apple store. after syncing it with my iphone, all new apps downloaded can not be open.. help

Here are some suggestions for getting the best results from this site.
Create a user profile that accurately reflects the type of hardware you're using and your version of OS X, or include that information in your first message.
Give details of the problem. A remark such as "X doesn't work" conveys no useful information. If X did work, you wouldn't be here. Instead, you should post something like this: "I did A; I expected B; but I got C." Include the complete, verbatim text of any error messages you saw, and specify where you saw them: in an application window, a CrashReporter window, a log, or whatever.
Also describe the steps you’ve taken yourself, if any, to try to resolve the issue. If the problem is of recent origin, did you make any changes to your setup just before you first noticed it? Is the problem reproducible or intermittent? That is, does it always manifest itself when you take a certain action, or only at unpredictable times?
Before posting, ask yourself whether it’s likely that you are the the only person ever to have had this problem. If not, search the discussions for answered questions similar to yours. If you found any pertinent information, but it didn't help, give details.

  • Why isn't my app Downloading

    Why isn't my app   downloading

    Define "not working".
Do you have an iTunes Store account?
Have you redeemed your iTunes Gift Card in the AppStore?
Have you clicked the Install button alongside the app you want to buy?
