iTunes content can be commingled in the iTunes library on a computer and synced to iOS devices. The computer must be authorized to use the content from the respective Apple IDs in the iTunes Store menu.

No, that's not possible. A better way of working around this than emailing the documents to yourself is to use a third party storage solution such as Dropbox and a webDAV server to upload the documents.

Hi my dad has my laptop and i need to transfer everything to my new iphone5 that i got reacently but thing is i cannot do that because he lives in asia so i can't get a hold of my laptop to transfer everything can i use home sharing even if he is that far ? to transfer all the materials to my iphone5 or is it possible if i use homesharing on my iphone4s to share the music apps.. ect. to my new iphone? please and thank you

If you are using the same iTunes library (meaning the exact same iTunes folder), it should work fine.

I use an external hard drive with my iMac and have an iTunes folder there (that sometimes it points to automatically, but sometimes I have to go under advanced and show the iMac to use that iTunes folder because it defaults to the internal iTunes folder on the computer).
Make sure the external drive is powered on and mounted on the desktop before launching iTunes.

I am trying to share books within my family as we were always able to do with home share in iTunes. Is this possible? I can phisically move the book file, but must sign in as my Apple ID on my wire's system, effectively removing her library from her iBooks and replacing it iwth mine. Thanks for the link. I looked at this and tried it and it sync'd my wife's iBook with my account, so she now had my Apple ID logged into her iBook. I'd like to be able to share my iBooks with her, but add them to her library as we were able to do with Home Sharing in iTunes. I want her to be able to use her Apple ID with iBooks, but be able to read some of the books I buy on my account. Does that make sense?

Devices with different Apple IDs ring the same time when some one facetime me.

I have iPhone 5s and iPad mini. Each has its own Apple ID. But, when some one facetime me on one of them, both are ringing. Even one is in London, and one is in Austin.
How to fix to have iPad mini rings when facetime to it, or iPhone rings when facetime to iPhone, not both.

Thank you for helping me on this problem. To answer your questions,
- No, each device has different contact, i.e. "reach me.." to different email address.
- No, one of the Apple ID is totally new one for my iPhone 6s.
- I have done some testing. My son set up two different entries of my devices, i.e., one for each device. But, it is still ringing one both devices when he facetimes me using one of his entries.
But, it seems that if someone just has setup to reach me on one device in her device, then, only this device is ringing. So, I am not sure why. My son's set up are two different contacts to my devices.
I will do more testing when my son brings his device back home.

If you download a rented movie on your computer: You can transfer it to a device such as your Apple TV (1st generation), iPhone, iPad, or iPod if it’s a standard-definition film (movies in HD can only be watched on your computer, iPad, iPhone 4 or later, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV). Once you move the movie from your computer to a device, the movie will disappear from your computer's iTunes library. You can move the movie between devices as many times as you wish during the rental period, but the movie can only exist on one device at a time.
If you download a rented movie on your iPhone 4 or later, iPad, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV: It is not transferable to any other device or computer.

How can I use home sharing between our iphones, so that we can create playlists with songs from both of our libraries? We share a Macbook Pro (separate accounts) and each have the new iphone, but when I have my iphone and try to create a new playlist, I can only grab songs from one account. Is there a way to create a playlist using both accounts since we are sharing?

The short answer: because Home Sharing isn't designed for sharing apps, and apps aren't designed to be shared.
The longer answer: Think of it like this...
You download some music in iTunes. With Home Sharing, another user can listen to it by streaming it over the network. But the data itself is on your computer. If you turn off the computer or take it off the network, the other user can't access it.
But if you send another user the app, they aren't just streaming the data- they installed it on their iOS device. Because they weren't the one that purchased it, such a transfer could easily be considered "piracy" or "stealing," and nobody likes that (least of all, Apple).
When iTunes sees this app, it obviously recognized it, as if saying, "Hey, how did you get this app on your device, if I have no record of you purchasing/downloading it from the iTunes store?"

Yes.
You need to sign into home sharing using ONE Apple ID. So either pick yours or hers, use the same one for home sharing on the computers. Once they are signed in on both Macs you can access media that the other user purchased.
Click the 'Shared House' for her library (if you have the sidebar enabled) when you are in your iTunes to access her media & vice versa, both iTunes needs to be running & awake.
