When I am on wifi I get a lot of Connection reset messages. I am new to Mac and did not have these issues when I used my HP laptop.

The email response is automated, and almost certainly is detected as "junk" or "spam". So, try again and check your spam folders for their reply.

Why am I getting a message that iTunes is not installed when trying to access items in IE?

When I am using IE and find an app on the store, then click the button to view in iTunes I am redirected to the download screen. I tried subscribing to a podcast recently as well and got the message that iTunes was not installed on my computer. When I try to do the same actions in Chrome they work fine. Unfortunetly, Chrome does not work well with some of the software my college uses so I would like to get IE functioning fully before classes start back up. This happens even if I disable my firewall. I have tried updating iTunes and I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it. My husband's computer has several itunes plugins in IE but I don't for some reason.

Reset IE to defaults.
Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Reset

Travelling in Mauritania, cannot log into icloud with my PC netbook. I can read my mail on my iphone, but I get a message that "icould is not available" when I try to open it on the PC. It's very annoying as it's not so easy to type on iphone!

Very strange. I have a PC netbook that I use when I travel, and here in Mauritania, when I try to log on icloud to check my mail, it tells me that it is not available or the server is down - the internet is working for everything else. I can read my mail on my iphone, connected to the same network. Is there some reason ou can't open icloud on an iphone and a pc at the same time?

Been looking for similar posts, surprised I haven't found more, because I'm fairly certain that there is a current problem with some parts of Apple's server network: I have 3 iCloud accounts in Mail on my Macbook, and 1 of them (annoyingly, my main one) has not been able to connect for an hour or two. And both of the others wouldn't connect for a few minutes, but are now working again.
More suprising is that trying to log in to webmail (www.icloud.com) is giving a very unhelpful error message, suggesting the server is down. Everything else Internet is working fine for me, and haven't changed any settings, so fairly sure problem is Apple's end.
It's possible that your iPhone is collecting your mail via a different server route that is still working; my three iCloud accounts are collecting via p02.imap.mail.me.com, p09.imap.mail.me.com and p99.imap.mail.me.com, and it's only p02 that's consistantly not working.

Home sharing is separate from iTunes Match. Sounds like you were playing music using home sharing, which turned off when you turned off your computer.
Open iTunes on your computer and go to the Store menu. Confirm that there is a setting called Turn Off iTunes Match. That will confirm that iTunes Match is enabled on your computer. Then check to see what Apple ID you subscribed to iTunes Match with. It will be the ID in Store>View Account (in parentheses).
On your iPad, confirm that you are signed in with this same ID in Settings>iTunes & App Store (at the top). If so, you should see an iTunes Match setting listed with an on/off slider. Slide it on to enable iTunes Match on your iPad.

My old macbook air crashed so i got a new hard drive. i successfully restored all the music i bought on itunes but there are a lot of other songs that i did not obtain through itunes that i cant figure out how to move from my phone to my computer.

You can transfer songs that you didn't buy from the iTunes store but it requires third party software such as Suneti. This is one of the best programs I know for the task and unfortunately I'm not aware of any freeware programs that transfer music from an iOS device to the computer.

If so then please utilize the uninstallers located in the Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder. Maybe this can help someone else... I simply had to properly uninstall CS3 and reinstall it again after that. I think that sorted it! I also remember having a similar issue with Macs at work a couple of years back. Not sure whether the same applies to CS5/CS6. Here's a link on how to properly uninstall CS3 on Windows XP, Windows Vista and Mac OS. I'm on OS X 10.9.2 but it worked just fine. Remove Creative Suite 3 and CS3 products
