HT202239 This computer does not meet the recommended system requirements for 3D titles.

Hey guys.
Today I downloaded FCP 10.2 and when enabling 3D text this message appeared "This computer does not meet the recommended system requirements for 3D titles". I ignored it and continued working on the 3D text, everything looked fine. Could someone tell me what the difference is when working on a not compatible computer?
Thanks!

Tech specs for 10.2
256MB of VRAM (1GB recommended for 4K editing and 3D titles)
I guess you have the minimum to download, but VRAM isn't enough for 3D.

    Hi,
May I know what are you trying to download ?
What is the MAC OS version you are using ?
It seems you are trying to download an application which needs atleast 10.6 MAC version
I think you are using lower version of MAC, let us know the version of your MAC , in order to help better .
To check the version  : click on Apple Button on top left
select about this MAC, you will get to know the version over there.
If its something 10.5.x , then you need to upgrade your MAC in order to install that application which needs 10.6 MAC
    Thanks,

Buy the Snow Leopard retail installer (http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573Z/A?fnode=MTY1NDAzOA).
That will take you to 10.6.3.
If required you can then use the combo updater to get to the latest version, 10.6.8 (http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1399)

When I try to update my iMovie to be Maverick compatible, this is what I get " Your computer’s video card does not meet the minimum system requirements."  Any suggestions?  Thanks

I have a Mac Pro earley 2008 with 16gb ram and the original ATI Radeon 2600 XT 256mb ram card.
After searching everywhere and finding no helpful info I just went to amazon and serched video cards for Mac Pro. The Asus HD 6450 silent and others came up. They all show PC compatibatily but since Mac is now PC structure I think allmost any card will work that is PCI-e.
I purchased the Asus HD 6450  for $39.00 with $10 rebate and it worked great, ( plug and play ).
My startup is way faster than before and graphics are way better.
The DVI works great with my Viewsonic and if you need to connect more than one monitor the DVI and VGA are secondary. If your main monitor is HDMI than you will have no problems using more than 2 screens in sharing mode.

It is just as the message says. Your video card is not compatible.
You can add a compatible graphics card and use FCP X with your mac.  I can't suggest which one, but maybe other people on this forum can guide.
And you may also get good suggestions in the Mac Pro forum.

I am not 100% sure this is the issue, but I saw a different thread about the ATI Radeon HD 2600 not being OpenCL compatible for another program and that a newer compatible graphics card would be required to solve the problem.  I am getting the same message with my 2007 iMac 24".

  • Error: The installed graphics card does not meet the minimum system requirements by Aperture

I have a Mac Pro 3.1 10.5.8 and Aperture 2.1.4.  My NVida 8800gt with 512 mb was over heating so I brought and install the ATI radeon hd 5770 to replace it.  Now when I try to start Aperture I get this message "Error: The installed graphics card does not meet the minimum system requirements by Aperture".  All other software works fine, ie photoshop elements and Safari.  When I install my old card aperture will open with no problem, but of course the card will overheat within 10 mins and I will have no video.  I have search on google with no luck.  Will upgrading to Aperture 3 fix this problem?

    5770 requires 10.6.5.
The 8800GT - there is the 350* bake in over 10 minutes - 50% or better chance
you can find 8800GT on http://myworld.ebay.com/macvidcards/

Fan control helps with FBDIMMs which need to be kept under 70C too.

The moderator is not saying the CPU is installed incorrectly, he is pointing you in the direction that a CPU socket pin or pins may be bent and not making proper contact. And yes, the system can still work with bent pin(s), but not fully functional. Most common is memory channels or slots not working, but there are cases of bent pin(s) affecting graphics as well.
Ah yes, I apologize for my assumption. I will check it once again. Thank you guys for the advise.

  • Your computer's video card does not meet the minimum system requirements.

I have tried to reload Final Cut Pro X after reformatting my iMac. I have upgraded the momory as described but now my video card is not compatable.
The iMac is an older Mac (2008) with 10.9.3 loaded.
any help on how to reinstall older versions of Final Cut would be great!
    Thanks

I have heard that if you return your Mac's OS to Snow Leopard (OS X 10.6.8) you may be able to download FCP X 10.0.9 from the App Store.  You don't need to reinstall SL for the whole system .  .  .  . make a small, say 20GB, partition using Disk Utility and install SL on that.
Otherwise for FCP X 10.1.1 you will have to get hold of a more modern Mac to do the download and then copy the app across.
I'm assuming that previously FCP X has worked on this computer?
