  • How to identify whether a TransientVO value has been changed or not on jsff

    Hi
I have a TransientVO view object dragged onto jsff page. Is there any way to identify in backing bean or in Application Module to identify whether there is any attribute value has been modified or not?
    Thanks in advance !!

    Hi:
My understanding is that's ADF's internal business to keep track of RowSet changes. In your code, it's not expensive to explicitly call commit OperationBinding. When your code issue an explicit commit, ADF will check if a real commit necessary or not. If any row or attribute changed, a real commit will happen.
If your application really want to get notified when any attribute changes, and you feel it too much to implement a valueChangeListener for every inputText, you should try a more generic one: rowUpdated(). I never use this one, but according to the manual, your probably can set a flag in your overwritten rowUpdated to flag an attribute value change when it happens.
But I really recommend you simply issue a commit and let ADF decide the necessity of a real commit. If you are really interested in which specific field changes, to me you have only 2 options, 1 is to do valueChangeListener, the other is try to figure out if rowUpdated() helps.
If you feel my answer helps, please mark it as 'helpful'; If it is correct, please mark it as 'correct'.
    Thanks,
    Alex

    I am running 10.9.1 software
    Help Diggs1936

    I would try reinstalling.
Reinstall Lion, Mountain Lion, or Mavericks without erasing drive
    Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
    Repair
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported then click on the Repair Permissions button. When the process is completed, then quit DU and return to the main menu. Select Restart from the Apple menu.
    Reinstall Mountain Lion or Mavericks
OS X Mavericks- Reinstall OS X
OS X Mountain Lion- Reinstall OS X
OS X Lion- Reinstall Mac OS X
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet
if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

    1. It means that the current software is installed.
    2. It's not something you should try to fix.
    3. Verifying and repairing permissions shouldn't be done as routine tasks.

  • My computer does not eject the disc after it has been burned.

I understand that my computer is supposed to automatically eject a disc after it has been burned. Mine doesn't. Instead, I hear a "Plonk," which I assume is announcing that the burning process has been completed.
First of all, is it true that the disc is supposed to be ejected after the burn has been completed? Secondly, how can I restore that function?

    Diane Wordsmith wrote:
To clarify...are you importing songs from a CD into iTunes, or are you burning songs from iTunes onto a blank CD? If it's the former, iTunes won't eject it...you'll just hear a chime or noise when it's done. If it's the latter it should eject.
For the second poster, it sounds you are importing. In which case, you will just hear the sound when importing is finished and you eject the CD yourself.
Just to make sure that I understand you correctly, here's what I did: Imported songs from website. They were in RealPlayer format. I then converted the song files into MP3 format, and put them into my iTunes music library. Finally, I put the songs in a New Smart Playlist, and burned them into a blank disc.
Given this situation, should I expect the disc to automatically eject when the burning is competed? If so, what do I have to do to get it to work properly?

Did you install SL as an upgrade over an existing system? If so I believe the parental controls message may be due to an old ACL. The ARD message is not unusual either. SUID messages should simply be ignored. We all see those. The messages themselves are innocuous. You can safely ignore them as they do not harm.

Thanks for your help. I am on an Intel iMac.

Permissions you can ignore on 10.5 and 10.6:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1448?viewlocale=en_US
Using 'should be -rw-r--r-- , they are lrw-r--r--' as an example, you will see the that the permissions are not changed, but the | indicates a different location. This is because an update to Leopard changed the location of a number of system components.

  • After updating to mavericks on my MacBook, the screen keeps saying "setting up your mac." It has been like this for hours! How can I make it go faster?

After updating to mavericks on my MacBook, the screen keeps saying "setting up your mac." It has been like this for hours! How can I make it go faster? It's has been like this for 4 hrs.

I don't think your mac is setting up. It's stuck.
    I would:
hold the power button until it shuts down
    unplug all peripherals
do a safe boot (restart and hold down the shift key until you see the apple logo).
If it starts up in a safe boot, then you can try restarting with a normal boot.
If it does not start with a normal boot, then you probably have some incompatible third party software. Likely culprits are:
    MacKeeper
    CleanMyMac
    third-party antivirus software
any other "cleaning" or "optimizing" or similar third party "utilities".
A good place to start would be to uninstall any of those (while in safe mode) and then restart.
