If I upload a video to iCloud can it not  be downloaded again?

Hi Debi,
Videos (and photos) can be downloaded from iCloud photo sharing. See this article -
iCloud Photo Sharing FAQ - Apple Support
In particular the section Can photos and videos be saved or downloaded from a shared album?
Yes. After photos are shared, anyone who can view the shared album can download and keep them permanently. Videos can only be downloaded to a Mac or PC. On an iOS device, videos are streamed from iCloud and can't be downloaded.
On a compatible iOS device, you can save photos to your Photos tab or Camera Roll.
In iPhoto or Aperture for Mac, you can add or copy shared photos or videos to your Library.
On a Windows PC, you can copy photos and videos from a shared album to any folder.
On the web, you can download photos and videos directly to your computer from the detail view of each photo or video.
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
Best,
Brett L

  • Uploading MP4 video to iCloud photos fails

I am trying to upload a 25MB MP4 video to iCloud photos yet I keep on receiving an error indicating 'JPEG format only'
I checked that you should be able to upload MP4 videos via iCloud on my PC so I can then view on my iphone 6.
    Can anyone help?

I see this question in a lot of places and in several Apple discussion groups. I've tried a number of the proposed solutions. I have 99GBs to upload. I got about 30GB uploaded twice, but then it kept stalling there (I have plenty of space). The solution that came closest was for me to turn off icloud, shut down Photos, rebuild Photos library (I think it's cntrl + option + double click on Photos icon), then start it all again. This let me get 60GB up fairly quickly, but it's been stuck there for a few days now. I also took my iMac into work and hooked it up to the bigger system there, since many people proposed doing that, assuming that those environments have bigger "pipes."  Anyway, I did all of this, and it's still stuck, uploading maybe one photo every six hours or so.

  • I rented a movie and it appears in the video app, but it did not fully download. It does not appear in downloads how do I repair the file?

Did you download it using iTunes for Windows, or did you download it directly to an iOS device?
If you can't find the movie you downloaded on your iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch, check inside your Videos App

  • TS4124 After uploading all music to iCloud can i delete the music from my laptop?

Hello!  My first visit, and hope I am doing this correctly.
    I have two two questions.
1: Having uploaded all of my music to iCloud and iMatch, from Laptop running Windows Vista, to iPad and iphone 3GS can I safely remove the music from my Laptop and just recall it from 'Cloud and Match' as required?  Rhereby saving memory on my laptop.
2:  When uploading my music to iCloud and iMatch I noticed that allmusic was removed from iphone, thereby, freeing up memory BUT the music remains on my iPad at all times.  How can I get the music to sit in the cloud and not on my ipad?
    Thanking you, you clever ones!

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can remove the content from the laptop, but if anything in iTunes match is removed from the iTunes store, you won't be able to redownload it. Hopefully such instances will be minimal.
Payout can delete anything on the iPad by swiping it and tapping the delete button. I'm not sure why it left everything on the iPad when you turned on iTunes match, it did that on my iPhone too the first time, I can't recall what I did, but it was removed at some point.

  • HT3209 My computer meets all the requirements to view HD video content, why can I not download and view it?

I have all the minimum system requirements to view HD content on my computer. Why does iTunes tell me that I don't and cannot download my HD movies that I have already purchased? Why should I buy the SD version when my computer is completely capabile of viewing all HD content and has a very good video card with HDCP status showing that it's good?
Please help so that I can get my movies downloaded.

This is for the Windows 8-8.1 users out there:  If you have the Pro version of Windows 8 and just recently upgraded to 8.1, Microsoft automatically includes a Virtual Machine package called Hyper-V client.  It doesn't ask you if you want to install it, it just does.
This may also apply to Windows 7 users who may have inadvertently installed some version of Hyper-V on their computer.
The Hyper-V package installs a secondary video driver that breaks HDCP, which means you can't play HD movies even on a compliant system.  You need to get rid of it.  To do so:
    Go to Control Panel
    Programs and Features
Turn Windows Features on or Off
    Uncheck "Hyper-V"
    Reboot.
This applies to almost anything that requires HDCP, so if you're having trouble with Blu-Rays or Amazon Prime, that's likely the culprit.

  • How can I delete uploaded digital videos from iCloud?

I have uploaded many digital videos that I have purchased and they have taken up almost all of my icloud space.  How can I delete them to free up space in icloud?  There's no more room to back up my devices.

iCloud seems to be a shapeshifter of mobile me. I can't stand it and can't wait to get it out of my systems. Unbelieveable! A company with so much market share, unable to get it right...  Is this a joke? Good thing I'm not running that company! Someone needs to wake up and begin delivering 'state of the art' software for their 'state of the art' hardware. WHERE'S THE SUPPORT??

  • How do I view my pictures and videos on iCloud can't work it out

I'm struggling to work out how to log in and view items on iCloud help please

You can't view them on icloud.com, if that's where you are looking.  You can only view them on the web if they are added to a shared stream with the public website option enabled (see http://help.apple.com/icloud/#/mmc0cd7e99).  That will give you a private url to view them from a computer browser.

  • Uploading ipod videos to my website for others to download

I have a company, and I want to place interviews with celebrity on my website. I am able to post high and low res movies, but I want to post the ipod video. I have them in a m4 format, and the link is set up similar to the way that the other videos work. I am wondering how do i do this that people can drag the file off of my website and into there itunes? do I need the file to be different? how can I deliver a third way of video?

I'm afraid I can't help you with that. My knowledge of building webpages is about zero.
Maybe someone else in this forum knows.
Or you could post that part of the question in Networking and the web if you plan to do that on a Mac.
Or if you plan to publish it as a Video podcast, post the question in Producing Podcasts.

  • HT5007 upload video to iCloud

    Hello
    2 questions:
How to upload my video to iCloud and share it?
What format should it be before I upload?

Yes and no... iCloud is really at the moment like a "train station". It is a transional place really meant for Pages, Keynote, Numbers, Text Edit, and Preview. You create a document, then save it to icloud, then when your done with it... you move it to its final destination. I usually send the file to a final resting area, either some where on my documents folder or on a network server and my backup file i tend to keep for a little while then either trash the back up or archive the backup. If you want to upload video, or large files to share, use Dropbox or an alternate online storage cloud system.

  • Does iphoto support uploading videos to icloud?

I am having difficulty uploading my videos to icloud via my mac. I can only see my photos on my Ipad despite it having IOS7. Can anyone help?

    From the link I posted
What do I need to be able to add videos to a shared stream?
To add videos to a shared stream, you need an iCloud account, a compatible device, and up-to-date software:
iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 7.0 or later
Mac with OS X Mavericks v10.9 or later and either iPhoto 9.5 or Aperture 3.5
PC with Windows 7 or later and iCloud Control Panel 3.0 or later
SInce you do not have the required software versions you can not use the feature

  • Icloud photo does not upload from iphone

Dear Apple (yes other users I know this is not for Apple. Like many I am fed up by not seeing this issue fix even after OS 10.10.3 and iOS 8.3, so pardon me if I'm a bit testy).
For many many months since the iCloud Photo Beta we (I will take the liberty to speak for others in another thread that was titled 'beta' and we have been chastised and told in no uncertain terms to start a new thread so here)... have had situations where iPhone and iPad will not upload new photos to iCloud Photo. nor does it download 'as advertised'.
Please don't ask us if we have tried turning iCloud Photo off-on-off on our iOS devices, we have.
Left iPhoto in 10.10.3 running... turned everything off everywhere... turned it back on everywhere...
Submitted (me, probably 5 times) to the Feedback APple or whatever it is called.
Submitted error reports from iCloud Photo on the web which cannot start do anything... about 5 times...
    So, till now nothing.
But I will help to grow your $180bn reserves by feeding a measly $3.99 a month for 250GB (or is that $2.99? can't remember now)... for NOTHING. At least I'm keeping some allocation warm.
My love to Tim and all the guys and gals
I don't know what else to do. It's not like if you have a problem one can actually hear/get indication from anyone at Apple on what to do/how to do etc..
So, here I am starting a new thread as 'suggested' by so many people... I am sure others will provide factual/objective reports sans sarcasm. Sorry that I can't because I am totally fed up with this situation.
With love, on behalf of the 4 iPhones, 1 iMac, 1 Mac Book Air, 1 MacBook (old), 1 MBP 15" old, 1 MBP 13" Retina, 1 Apple TV, 1 AirPort Express, god knows how many ipods etc etc in my household.
Yes, I'm an idiot Apple Fan...

    Hey all,
I've transitioned to the iCloud Photo Library. All my photos sync across all devices (iPhone, iMac, iCloud.com) - I have the new Beta Photo app running on my Mac as well.
I've realized that with this setup if I delete a photo from one place, it disappears everywhere. Which I guess is convenient.
However, I don't see a way to differentiate which photos I keep on which devices. All my libraries "have" to be identical.
What do you men by 'all my libraries' You have 1 library, it's on iCloud, if you delete from there all devices connected to the account will see that you deleted it because it is no longer there.
Don't use the iCloud library if you want different libraries on each device.

  • I am authorized to upload longer videos than this program will allow. How do I get it to allow me to upload longer videos, more than 30 minutes?

I want to upload my video but this program will not allow me to yet Youtube will. Why is this restriction set in the program? If Youtube will not allow it they will stop the process. I am authorized for uploading longer videos because of my excellent standing with Youtube.

    Thanks for the reply.
I do not know your Premiere Elements 12 project settings. So, for now, I will give the example assuming 1920 x 1080 project where you are working from a
NTSC (29.97/30 frames per second) setup rather than PAL (25 frames per second) setup.
    1. After the Timeline content is established and edited, then go on to Publish+Share/Computer/AVCHD.
    2. Set the Presets = MP4 - H.264 1920 x 1080p30.
    3. Hit the Save button in the export area to export your Timeline content to a file saved to the computer hard
drive at the location that you designate in the export area beforehand..
    4. From that hard drive save location, upload your video to YouTube at the YouTube web site.
Please do not hesitate if you have any questions about the above. If your project settings are different than my assumptions, please let me
know the details, and I will fine tune the details presented here.
We will be watching for your results.
    Thanks.

  • How to upload a video clip to iCloud?

    Hi folks,
I have iCloud setup for all of my computers (mostl MacPro) for iCloud.  Everything wokrs fine but this issue:  iCloud is able to autmomatically sync my photos from my iPhoto and share them with other MacPros; however, it won't load and sync a video clip in iPhoto - from Sony Cybershot Rx100 - to other MacPro!
      My questions are:
1 - What do I need to do in order for iCloud to automatically upload my video clip (in iPhoto) to the iCloud then share it with other MacPro?
2- If iCloud is not able to autmomatically upload my video clip, is there a way for me to mannually upload and download the video clip to/from the iCloud?
Also I'm not sure if the video clip should be placed in the right place in order for iCloud to upload and share with other MacPro?  When I plug my camera to my MacPro vua USB port iPhoto automacatically displays the photo files and the video file in it.  iPhoto would be able import both the phto and video files though, but I'm not sure if the video clip is supposed to be upload (by default?) to the iPhoto?
      Any help/suggestion/recommendation is greatly appreciated!
      Thanks
      John N.

  • Icloud not uploading all videos

I had uploaded four videos to an icloud stream that I shared with my other devices, and then I deleted them from my original photo album. But the videos I uploaded were actually just two videos that were too long to post so I had to cut them in half. The first original video was 14 minutes long and the second one was 7 minutes long. I'm not sure, it might've even been five videos. Now in my stream it's only showing two videos that are both 5 minutes long. Is there anything I can do to get the other two or three back? Oh and, they weren't all 5 minutes when I uploaded them. Thanks.

Check that our, according to article videos can only be up to 5 min long. Suspect that longer videos never uploaded.
