I'm new to Mac, Numbers and this discussion site.
Q1. If I want to edit an Execl document, do I have to save in a special way onto my Mac, in Numbers?
And whne I want to ecpprt the Numbers steradsheet back to my work comouter (Microsoft), do I have to send it in a different format?

To answer the question in the title of this thread (Do I have the latest version of Numbers?)
With Numbers open, Menu > Numbers > About Numbers to see the version.
The latest version is 3.1.
3.0 was released in November 2013. If you have 3.0 or 3.01, check for updates, because 3.1 has more features than 3.0.

Your Mac is running 10.5.8 or later and iTunes 10?
You are connecting the iPad direct to a USB port on your Mac and you have tried every port?
You have reinstalled the Apple Mobile Device Service?

as of today when i plug my 7th generation ipod that i just got for christmas 2012 my pc shuts down to a blue screen with alot of writing then to black screen with alot of writing then to an all black screen then and windows error message my computer is ingood condition no malicious malware and has been clean i need help

Ok...so I have the latest version of iTunes per response to my previous question. Why isn't there a cloud icon next to the movie I just downloaded? I assume that's the only way to access movies on the cloud. ( My computer shows the icon.)
What are you trying to do? If the movie is on your iPad, the cloud icon will not appear next to the movie. You will see the cloud icon next to the movie if you delete it from your iPad and then you can download it again. That is assuming that the movie is eligible for a free download as not every movie can be downloaded again for free.
This is a screenshot of the purchased tab in iTunes on my iPad. These movies are already on my iPad so there is no cloud icon next to them for another download.
What I don't understand is for what reason are you trying to access the movie? If you want to watch the movie, it is in the videos app. Maybe that is where I am missing the boat. -

I recently purchased an iPhone5. When I tried to sync it using my iMac with Lion, I was told to upgrade my iTunes. I have the latest version of iTunes which my iMac will support but that won't work to sync my iPhone. Are there other ways to sync my iphone?

The first step in Upgrading... is to Snow Leopard = OS X 10.6.x
It is Not available as a download... It is a Paid Upgrade.
Do this first...

i bought a mac air yesterday and i was trying to download maverick but i could not do it, i try to download the old version of numbers because i needed for work, but i could not neither, but now when i check to download numbers is asking for to pay?
You are mixing different issues. I will address Numbers.
Has Numbers ever been installed on this new Mac? Did you have the Mac App Store version of Numbers or did you have the DVD version of Numbers?
You should be able to redownload a previous purchase of the Mac App Store version of Numbers from the Purchases pane after signing into your account.
If you had the DVD version, then you will need to install that from the DVD media. -
I have an iMac 7.1 purchased in 2007 which currently has OS X 10.5.8. Until 6 months ago it happily synched with my iPad3. Now it doesnt because I do not have the latest version of iTunes and that will not download because it is not supported by the OS which says there are no software updates. Any ideas of what I can do.

Hi, My IMac Superdrive has gone bust and i need to re-install Adobe CS5.5 design premium middle east version. I have the original version DVD with me. But i am unable to install. Can i create an USB installation drive from the DVD or can you please send me a link to download the Middle east version of Adobe CS 5.5 design premium. I have bought an used Iphone 5. I dont have the password for the existing login id of the old owner. How do i use the phone and change the log in id?
Unfortunatly the only way that you can get it off is to get the old user to input the password. You may need to contact that old user and see if he can put the old password in. hope this helps.

Also, the "burn playlist to disc" command has disappeared from the File options. I downloaded the latest version of iTunes but that only restored tracks I'd bought from the iTunes store. I also tried setting up another logon.
Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. Note that in iTunes 11 an "empty" library may show your past purchases with links to stream or download them.
In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
Alternatively, depending on exactly when and why the library went missing, there may be a more recent .tmp file in the main iTunes folder that can be copied & renamed as iTunes Library.itl to restore the library to an earlier state. Look for a recent .tmp file that is similar in size to the .itl files in the Previous iTunes Libraries folder. If it has happened repeatedly you may want the earliest such file generated since the last iTunes upgrade.
If applicable, see iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library, or a backup of it, then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.
I've noticed more of these missing library posts of late and a common factor to most since I started asking is AVG Anti-Virus. It seems in some cases it might be at least part of the reason why the library file disappears. Try excluding the iTunes folder from any AV scanning process.

I am so sorry I am frustrating you. This is the first time I have used this community and am leanring as I go. I am not able to see the entire post that you leave, unless I look at it on my phone (email)--I am so sorry. You have no idea how much i appreciate your help. Yes, I see that I can get the later version of OS software, but its not availabe for immediate download. My only options appear to be having it shipped, or going to the store to purchase. And if you know of another way that I can access all of my itunes library music on my new phone withouth using itunes, I would love to hear about it.--thanks and again i am so sorry for frustrating you.

When I reboot, it hangs on fsck, although disk reports no errors.
I have a 2011 iMac running lion. When I reboot, it hangs on fsck. If I boot in single user mode, fsck -fy runs with no errors. If I boot from the recovery disk and run disk utility, it also yeilds no errors. This only happens when I reboot normally.
