HT203163 error message trying to access iTunes store: "not enough memory"

We've used AppleTV for years, but suddenly cannot log-in to view purchaed TV shows, cannot buy tunes from computer or iPhone, etc.  When trying to log-in the error message says "not enough memory" on the computer; on Apple TV it says: "Account log-in failed; try again later" 

It's typically related to security software issues, gayle. If you're running Kaspersky security software, try switching off Kaspersky Parental Controls. Otherwise, see:

    The memory in your computer needs to be 8GB or more, and you must have a 64 bit operating system (which can still happen even if your computer is less than 12 months old). What operating system do you have? Is it 32bits or 64bits?

    Could be you are not connecting to the internet via wifi.

    Additional things to try.
    Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

    Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

    Hmmm. The first version of it is probably being thrown by the iTunes Setup Assistant (which involves an installer routine).
    The second set of circumstances is a bit more familiar (especially if it's accompanied by a 2330 error message number).
    Often it's file damage or (disk damage near a file) that causes those messages. So let's try running a Chkdsk over the C drive:

    Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, does it stop giving you that message when you try to launch or upgrade?

    Since the upgrade to 10.2 this morning I cannot seem to get rid of the pop up "trying to access itunes store." I click cancel, it goes away for about 5 seconds and comes right back. I was able to purchase and download a song however the pop up appeared multiple times throughout the process. It's to the point where the itunes store is nearly unusable.
    I tried a reinstall of 10.2 to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.

    Took the same route as ricin beans,
    Complete reinstall, as painful as it was... at least it all works now.
    Luckily I've only had my MBP a week and hadn't had anything on it other than music to export/import, no doubt others aren't so lucky and still waiting for Apple's cure, if they ever provide one.
