If you are not seeing any playlists, the next step I would try would be to bring back a previous iTunes library file. The steps to take care of this are in the following article.

I have used Airport Time Capsule with my iMac for a couple years. I recently purchased a MacBook Air and when it tried to backup to Time Capsule it couldn't because Time Capsule is full. How can I now use the 3TB Airport Time Capsule to back up both the iMac and MacBook Air? I don't mind losing earlier backups. I have excluded some items from backing up, but since the Airport Time Capsule is full, I can't even begin to back up the MacBook Air.
On your Mac.......
Open Finder > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility
Click on the Time Capsule icon, then click Edit in the smaller window that appears
Click on the Disks tab at the top of the window
Click Erase Disk
On the next window that appears, select the Quick Erase option, then click Erase
The operation will only take a few minutes.
Now you are ready to start new backups of both Macs. Back up one Mac first, then back up the other. Do not try to back up both Macs as the same time. -

That does happen. It depends on how hard the server is being hit, as well as the connection speed of your system. If you are on a windows system, you will want to disable any antivirus or firewall software during the download.

Hi, I have configured a "Collect Signatures" workflow for test Word document(.docx), then uploaded it to sample SP 2010 doc library (content type "Document"). This Word document has 2 empty Signature Lines in it.
After that i'm starting the Collect Signatures workflow on it , which is assigned to me and other user from my Active Directory.
Workflow is started and after that i'm receiving mail about assigned task which also contains link to document.
When i click on link it opens IE which contains SP library file path, after a while doc is opened in Word client in Read-only mode. When i want to sign the document info window pops up : "Signatures can't be added or removed because this document was opened
read-only" and i'm not able to compete task/sign doc from Word.
It is possible to sign the document when i go to SP library and opens this file directly from there (file drop-down menu-> open in MS Word).
I saw that this behaviour is similar to this article:

Did this happen to all users on all PCs?
Have you checked if it is a client side issue, test with different IE 8/9/10 versions for this issue (and IE compatibility mode, add-ons, trusted site zone etc)?

HT201210 iTunes can't sync my iPod because the connection was lost.
I have been having some issues with backup and sync for the past week or two with my iPod Touch. I am being told by iTunes that it cannot sync with my iPod because the connection was lost. I tried a different cable and still no luck.
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

I am using the same computer i used to make all my music downloads and when i try to re-download a song or album it already says "downloaded". i need to re-download because the backup was lost. my computer is still authorized on my account.
If you still have the 'pointers' to them in the Music part of your iTunes library (i.e. where you would click on them to play them) then iTunes will assume that you still have them and will show them as downloaded in the Purchased link under Quick Links on the iTunes store home page - if you try deleting one of them then it should get the cloud symbol for re-downloading, and you can do the same for the others.

When I recently updated to the newer version of FireFox, (version 3.6.13) the DownloadHelper add-on was lost, and it will now not re-install, though I have tried about 5 times?? When I clicked the icon to download the add-on the download progress bar indicated that the download was underway however, when it had completed, the add-on appeared not to have downloaded - including no icon - not even if I search for one. When I tried to download the same add-on again, the download window indicated the download in a faded color and it seemed to be indicating that I already had the add-on. Try as I might, I can't get it to work. DownloadHelper always worked with no trouble on the previous version of FireFox. Are you able to help? Many thanks for this service!
Delete the files extensions.* (extensions.rdf, extensions.cache, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox [[Profiles|profile folder]] to reset the extensions registry. New files will be created when required.

If you see disabled, not compatible, extensions in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" then click the "Find Updates" button (Firefox 4: click the Tools button at the left side of the Search Bar) to do a compatibility check.

Rented "Gone Girl" on apple tv. It charges me, but will not play for more than 4 seconds at a time. I have exercised every step of apple's troubleshooting and nothing fixes the problem. I have a very strong, steady 81 Mbps Internet connection speed and can stream any other HD through the apple tv except for this rented movie. This is not the first time this has happened either. I just gave apple $6 for free and am currently watching the movie streaming through my cable provider's on demand channel with ease. Oh yeah, and when I seek apple support for the issue, apple wants $2 just to contact someone! Give me my money back please and I will never attempt to use your poor tv service again.
The limitation of approximately 200 titles has been discussed before, we can't be sure whether it will be something that gets fixed or not. I'm not really sure what your other issues are, if I use search instead of lists, I find whatever I want and am able to rent or purchase subject to those options being available for that particular title.

Since ITunes updated, most of my songs in the library have a "!" next to it and they are unable to be located. They are not in my recycle bin and I do not have a back-up. Is there anything I can do to get them back in my library? They are not purchased, so I can't get them back from what I have read.
Is the media still on the computer?
If it is, simply point iTunes to where the media is.
If it is not and the content was acquired from iTunes, simply download it again. -

I have read a number of threads with the rotating circle in the middle of the screen. Some have been able to Reset by holding down the Sleep Button and the Home Button until the Apple Logo shows up and then wait for a lock screen. This had to be done several times in some cases. Others suggest letting the battery totally run down and then charge for at least one half hour. Then do a Reset again.

Recently added photos/movies missing after closing iPhoto '09
I have iPhoto '09 (8.1.2 (424) running on an Intel iMac Core (1) Duo with Snow Leopard, all software updates current. Tonight I went to add several photos and movies to my iPhoto library (19,000+ photos). They imported fine. I moved some around with respect to events, fixed some dates, but did no photo edits. Then I closed iPhoto. When I opened it back up, all of the recently added photos were gone. The "Last Import" said "(0)". I found the photos/movies sitting in my iPhoto library in the file structure and could open them up and view them with Preview or Quicktime, respectively. But iPhoto didn't know they were there. I tried to drag and drop them into iPhoto again and it wouldn't let me, saying they are already in the library. I was able to reimport from the original location on my desktop and after closing and re-opening, same thing, no photos in iPhoto but another copy of them in the "iPhoto Library package > Originals > 2011 > ..."
This is repeatable. I can delete the folders I added then reimport and after closing and re-opening, nothing. I've rebuilt the library 2 times using command+option with all options selected except "rebuild from automatic backups." I can drag just one image into iPhoto from the bunch and it disappears to after a close+reopen. I have not yet tried to do a camera-based import. These are files on my desktop.
Lastly, I think this may be a red herring, but I just recovered from a HD crash last week. I got a new HD installed by professionals and did all the new installs to Snow Leopard and restore from my time machine backups myself. Everything looks/works like it did before the crash, except one of the user's (4 of us on this machine) desktop was missing their background pic and had to re-add it. All the other user's desktop pics were fine. This desktop pic was associated with the iphoto library I'm having the problem with. I just realized after talking with my wife that all the pictures she has added since the crash have had the same behaviour and are sitting in the iphoto library package but are not in the iPhoto library "viewer" when iPhoto is open.The Library database is corrupted.
Best option: restore from back up. Otherwise:
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .
