HT203167 It is not possible to re-download audiobooks on iTunes Store. Why?
If a person buy an audiobook at iTunes Store today and want to re-download it, he can not do it because it does not exist yet a way to do so. If the person access iTunes Store on the computer and tap Purchased, it shows only musics, movies, tv shows, apps and books, but not audiobooks. The same happens on iPhone. Actually, on iPhone it is even worse, because it does not show books either.

Why would you update without making sure that everything is on your computer? You should never update any device/computer, etc without making sure that everything is saved to anothe source ( backed up).

I have no idea. You would have to ask them.

OK. That does not change the fact that they do not allow Apple to do this.
It is up to the audiobook industry to allow this or not.

If the songs are still on your ipod, make sure autosync is disabled in iTunes on your computer, connect and right click on it in the device list, then choose "transfer purchases" to copy all bought media and apps from your ipod to your computer.
If the songs are not on your computer and got deleted from your ipod as well, you can't get them back, unless you have a backup of your iTunes library as part of your computer backup. -

Ok, you should generally only get this when you are converting your ID to an iTS account for the first time.
Sign into iTunes with your Apple ID and you should get this.... IRC once you agree or accept it's now an iTS account and you wont get that again. -
I can no longer download music from itunes store. It happened when I was trying to download songs dragged into a playlist. I tried to download more than one at a time. It stopped. Now I cant download at all. Even rebooted my machine.

I just don't understand why I still can't download new videos as I've deleted the software I installed and I've changed my camera settings back to what they were before when I could download into iPhoto. I perhaps should have mentioned it's iPhoto '08 version 7.1.5. Is there any way of putting iPhoto back as the "default download and view" programme?
It could be as simple as longer (larger) videos - iPhoto does not always handle larger video files well

iPhoto is not a download and view program - it is a photo management database program that imports photos - Image Capture is a download program - Preview is a view program
The default program to download your photos is set in the preference panel of either iPhoto or image capture

In iTunes go to general preferences and check the boxes for those you wish to see in the library.

Asked to put security questions and answers. Click "Done" and it does not lead me anywhere. Now cannot download anything from iTunes Store.
Anyone has been having this problem?I have the same issue, bteween France and The Netherlands. No solution found yet.
Worse even. My credit card is not from The Netherlands, and the dutch store does not accept a creditcard from outside NL. So i used my french card to buy one app using France has my home country. Luckily the app's language remained English, but now the french store seems to be offering me frech versions of existing (free) apps which i dont want. So i cant use the updates.
i cant change the country back to Neterlands, without using a credit card. I can make a new ID, but the old one remains stuck with the french store, pffff It seems the only solution is to create a new ID via a "purchase" of a free app, but the older free apps all may need to be reinstalled that way.

You can move your iTunes library.. Apple have explicit instructions to do it. If the library is moved to the TC and accessed over wireless, the efficiency of the whole system will drop dramatically..
A file you download goes.. Modem---TC--Laptop--Back to TC--Store on disk. Double looping the wireless slows it dramatically..
As far as using TC for your iTunes.. you CAN.. but SHOULD YOU?

This is asked several times a day.. obviously people are struggling with their latest SSD being too small.
The TC is not suitable for network file server.. but many people having no choice press it into service as such.
It cannot be partitioned. It was and is and ever shall be a backup device for Time Machine.
Major issues.
1. No backup.. no way Time Machine can backup a network drive. No place to backup to.. So all your files will be at risk. And you will need to buy a third party like CCC to do backup.
2. The TC cannot be partitioned and mixing TM backups and data is not great.
3. The drive is slow to spin up and quick to spin down.. there is no controls.
4. iPhoto in particular can easily corrupt its entire library with wireless networking causing a disconnection to one photo. Even if you do this;;; do not move your photo library... you have been warned!!
5. iTunes will constantly lose connection to the library. The disk is too slow to respond.. itunes on the computer will constantly spit out errors. Even in the midst of streaming the TC can spin down the disk due to caching.
6. Do not use any live files on the TC no matter what else you do.. if you edit files in whatever program the file must be on the local hard disk.
7. The only suitable location for most libraries is a computer. You can plug in an external hard disk.

My iTunes card won't redeem and when I try to it comes up with this "The gift certificate or prepaid card code you entered has not been properly activated. Please contact iTunes Store costumer support for assistance" can anyone help me?
Is the store that you bought the card from nearby so that you can try going back and asking if they can activate the card properly ? If it's not, or if they can't/won't activate, then you will need to do as the message says and contact iTunes Support (these are user-to-user forums) : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then iTunes Cards And Codes (you will probably need to give them images of the front and back of the card, and possibly its receipt)

Cannot check for available downloads nor download media from iTunes store.
Here's what I can do: 1) I can access the internet. 2) I can access and purchase media from the iTunes store. 3) I can stream radio through iTunes. 4) I can download podcasts.
Here's what I can't do: 1) I cannot check for available downloads. 2) I cannot download purchased media. I receive the following message in a pop up window. "Unable to Check for Available Downloads. The iTunes Store is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later."

I have also removed my router out of the equation and connected directly to my cable modem so port forwarding is not an issue either. The only idea I have left is to call my ISP.
