HT203167 WHY IS IT THAT ITUNES WON'T ADD SONGS  AND MOVIES FROM ALL MY ACCOUNTS!

The ITunes fixes I had to add accounts and more accounts to buy the movies at the time I want,ed them so this great cloud don't work to lock them all together .
So why is apple sell at 487  share  ???.

Nothing is broken so there's nothing to fix. It's very normal for a company to deny you access to further services if you own them money. They aren't blocking you from using things you've already purchased and downloaded, only from further using Apple services - which included the privilege of re-downloading - until you've settled your debt. If you make a purchase knowing that you did not have or there was a significant chance you would not have the funds available, at best that's bad financial management on your part and potentially criminal at worst. Next time, keep more careful track of what you have purchased on line and make sure you keep enough of a reserve in your account to cover any such purchases no matter when they actually are booked to your account.
If you deleted the items, made no backup, and so now wish to re-download them, you will have to pay the balance you owe. Until you do, you are quite legimitately denied access to further services from the iTunes Store.
Regards.

  • How to download songs and movies from iTunes?  e top bar...

How to download songs and movies from iTunes?  The music and movie tab is not on the top bar at the iTunes store...

To use the iTunes Store in a country you need a credit card issued in that country, billed to an address in that country, and also be physically present in that country when using the store.  Basically all you have access to would be anything offered in South Africa unless you move to a different country.
It's the media owners who get to tell Apple where and where they cannot sell their media.  I'm sure Apple would be happy to take your money but  if the media companies are not happy then they can say no to sales in SA.
Even if there were a way to bypass this we certainly couldn't tell you on this forum because it would violate the Terms of use of this web site and get the whole topic removed.

  • ITunes lost originals to songs and movies

I had to restore my iPhone to the original settings to get a GPS update to work. Then when I tried to sync my iPhone none of my songs or movies loaded. When I looked in iTunes all the songs and movies were listed in their proper windows but when I tried to activate them from the iTunes windows received an error message that the originals could not be found.
Did numerous searches and all the originals were missing from my hard drive.
    Really weird!
Anyone have any idea what happened so I won't make that mistake again?

you could give this a try:
    iTunes Track CPR v1.3
This script attempts to locate the files of so-called "dead tracks"--iTunes tracks designated with (!)--that you assume are not actually missing but are still located in the iTunes Music folder in their "iTunes File Order" (Music -> Artist -> Album -> file.xxx)."

  • ITunes won't add songs to my iphone/adds them but they don't actually add?

Ok, so I keep trying to add songs to my iPhone, and half of them just appear greyed out with the circle next to them, and no matter how many times i sync, they won't ever add. Then, out of the songs that do add randomly, most of them don't appear on my iPhone and when I try to play them on iTunes (in the iPhone playlist) an exclamation mark appears next to them (so they didn't actually add, but they're in my iTunes library so I don't understand why it "can't find" the songs when I add them to my iPhone). As a result, out of 433 songs I've been trying for 2 hours to add to my iPhone, only 14 actually show up on my iPhone. All the songs that have added AND actually showed up on my phone and played are songs that I've purchased from iTunes, so I'm not sure what that's about. Oh, I also had like 50 songs on my phone before I tried adding all the new ones earlier, and when I started adding new music, all the previous songs that were on my phone disappeared from my phone and have exclamation marks next to them in my phone's itunes playlist. Can someone explain what's going on with iTunes?

Disconnect your iPod from your computer.  Close iTunes and re-open.  Connect the iPod cable to a different usb port, re-connect and fingers crossed the error will go away (happened to me on Sunday and doing the above resolved).

  • I am based in South Africa, and it seems like we cannot purchase songs and movies from iTunes. any suggestions on how to by-pass this seemingly boycott of South African users?

I am based in South Africa, and it seems like we cannot purchase any music or movies from itunes. Apparently it is not supported by our itunes store, what ever that might mean. Unfortunately the staff in all of the i-shops in South Africa are pretty much unhelpfull, unlike the service i received while in the US. Any suggestions on how to by-pass this seemingly boycot of the South African users?

  • Share iTunes Library on home network and edit from all computers?

I'd like to share my iTunes library on the 3 Macs on my home network and be able to edit the library (add songs, edit titles, add cover art, etc.) from any of the computers. Is there a way to do this? Thanks!

We're attempting to work out the same trick on another thread.

  • ITunes states I can only rent movies from my Canadian account.  I am in the US and want to rent a movies on my AppleTV.

I am unable to rent a movie on my AppleTV.  I get a statement that I can only rent from the Canadian account, yet I am in the US.
    Options?

your Apple ID is bound to the country it is registered.
Your option would be either create an additional Apple ID that is for USA, or change the country of the current one
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1311
If you decide to change the current ID - you will be prompted to update your billing information, therefore you have to have an address in USA and since you would like to purchase/rent - you may need a credit card that is issued in USA.

  • HT1711 Remove all songs and movies from Itunes ??

I need to delete every thing in my Itunes in macbook pro and iphones 4s too ??

See Empty/corrupt iTunes library after upgrade/crash.
The "correct" layout for an iTunes library is an iTunes folder that contains the database files and an iTunes Media folder inside that contains the media subdivided according to media kind, e.g. Music, Podcasts, Movies, Books etc.
    Press Ctrl+J for view options.

  • Why is it that whenever I download a song from Itunes that a small grey round button appears next to the song (apparently this is the download progress button), but when I press on it to resume, the song disappears. This wasn't happening before.

Why is it that whenever I download a song from itunes that a small grey button appears next to the song (apparently this is the download progress) but whenever I hit it to resume, the song disappears. I am getting annoyed with having to copy the songs manually onto my phone. Thanks for anyones help. Cheers

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the dodgy tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the items, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items.

  • When I try to open iTunes, Error 2 appears saying that iTunes won't open b/c "Apple Application Support was not found". What do I do???

When I try to open iTunes, Error 2 appears saying that itunes won't open because "Apple Application Support was not found". What do I do???

If your problem is only w/iTunes, you really should re-post over in the iTunes for Windows forums instead of the iPod forums.

  • Why is it that iTunes looks different from all other apps again?

This might be a rather irrelevant question, yet I wonder: Why is it that iTunes doesn't look like the majority of other Apple apps? I guess it's mainly the scrolls bars and the check boxes. Not that I don't like the way iTunes look, I'm just curious why it has to look different when one of Leopard's goals was to make a more unified interface.
Can anyone enlighten me or is this something that only Apple knows?

"Besides, not all of us run Leapard, so wouldn't making iTunes look like leapard make it look different on all our systems that don't use leapard?"
That's a point But what I meant by that was that in Tiger there are many different kinds of windows where Apple in Leopard has tried to stick to just one. And that's why I think it's so weird that iTunes has to differ from all the rest.

  • Why is it that it takes ages to watch a movie bought on the Itunes store, compared to Netflix which is instant? I don't understand this?

Why is it that it takes ages to watch a movie bought on the Itunes store, compared to Netflix which is instant? I don't understand this? I can watch a two and a half hour movie on netflix and it'll take maybe a minute to buffer but when I want to watch something I bought on itunes it always takes like six hours to watch a movie about an hour and a half?

I am currently having the same problem. Did you ever get this resolved?
    Thanks.

  • ITunes won't add files or folders

For the last couple of days I've been having a problem where iTunes won't add files or folders for no discernible reason. Yesterday I was able to add a few videos, then I wasn't. Today after reinstalling iTunes it added my music just fine, but when that was finished and I wanted to add something else, nothing. I don't know why it's doing this. Drag and drop doesn't work, either. When I try to bring a file over, I get a little red circle with the line through it saying it can't do it.
    Help?

Ok. So its finally working again. Not sure why, but maybe my experience will help someone else.
All I can say is that I have been trying a relentless combination of mounting and mounting the drive, checking and unchecking the 'copy files to iTunes Library', running 'consolidate library', and everything in between. One of them finally kicked it back into action.
Nice Apple. 9.2.1 isn't buggy at all...that's sarcasm.
