HT203175 I have a new HP PC with Windows. I just purchased the Breaking Bad Alchemy online book and thought I could see it on my computer at least since I don't have any devices like an iBook, etc. How am I supposed to view it now? Bought it thru iTunes.

Can anyone just help me and let me know if I can still view this newly downloaded book from iTunes on my PC or am I "going on a trip to Belize"??

You can check if the standard Srgb profile has been change.
Close Elements.
Go to Start menu >> Control Panel >> Color Management.
Click the Devices tab.
From the Device pop-up, select your monitor.
Check the ‘Use my settings for this device’ checkbox.
Make a note of the currently selected profile, which is marked as (default). If there isn’t an existing profile, you can skip this step.
Click the Add button.
In the Associate Color Profile dialog, select sRGB IE61966-2.1 (sRGB Color Space Profile.icm) and press OK.
Back in the Color Management dialog, select the sRGB profile and click Set as Default Profile, and then close the dialog.

You have a couple of options for booting OS X.
One is to use the OS X Recovery Disk Assistant to copy the Mountain Lion Recovery HD to a USB thumb drive. A 4GB thumb drive is sufficient as the Disk Assistant only needs 1GB.
A second option would be to use a cloning software like SuperDuper or Carbon Copy Cloner to clone your existing Macintosh HD to an external USB drive. This would give you an external bootable copy of what you have now.

The remote disk on my air can find the cd but bootcamp will not begin installing it. Anyway to do this without buying the damned usb drive?

I don't know first hand if you can use the Remote Disk option with Windows but as of 10.7.2 you can now use BCAssistant to make a bootable USB (thumb drive or external disk) W7 installer with the Boot Camp drivers installed also. Have you tried that yet?

It could be a compatibility issue as well as Acrobat 8 is an older version.
Do you get any error message while registering for the product?
Try repairing it and once and also check for updates as well.
Is it happening with all the word files or any specific one'?

How to get my favorites transferred - I have a new XP machine with a complete copy of the win98 C drive for the old machine which had Firfox accessing the favorites from an earlier IE installation as well as its own creations.

I have tried various things - the import facility does not seen to be right to help - I've copied the favorites folder over but it is not seen

It depends upon the version of Firefox you had on Windows 98.The last version that officially ran on Windows 98 was Firefox 2. In Firefox 2 bookmarks are stored in a file called bookmarks.html inside the profile folder. The normal location to find the profile folder in Windows 98 is inside this folder - C:\Windows\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\
The name of the profile folder is normally a string of random characters followed by .default, if you open that folder you should find the bookmarks.html file. You can import that file into your current computer by following the procedure in this link - https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Importing+Bookmarks+from+an+HTML+File
If you had Firefox 3 on Windows 98, bookmarks are stored in a file called places.sqlite. If you have that file, you can copy it from your old profile folder and place it in your profile folder on the Windows XP computer, replacing the one that is already there. I can't think of any way to make the Navigation Toolbar appear/disappear based on which direction you move your mouse.
Well, there is full screen view, where the whole toolbar area including the tab bar slides up off the screen, and reappears if you slide the mouse pointer all the way to the top. (You can use the F11 key to turn full screen view on and off.)

KiltedTim- Yes, I have encountered an activation lock. The Apple ID should be the one that I use when I go into itunes but that one is not working. I even tried the Apple email/id I got when I first bought the phone years ago and that didn't work either. It is asking me for an id that ends in @me.com and I have NO IDEA what this is or how to get it to "shift focus" onto one of the id's I do know.
Does that make things clearer?

I would just follow the instructions from this article to give your unused 4s to your spouse. Since you have already started using your 5s, you will still be receiving iMessages on that phone and will have no need to receive them on a device that has been replaced. However, after leaving Iphoto and shutting down the computer, and then going back to run a slideshow the photo displays back to its' original orientation, that is, the edit-change was not saved. Have you tried to install other programmes on the same PC? If they have worked, your installer should be in working order, so redownload iTunes and try again
