LOCK KEEPS COMING UP, HOW DO I DISABLE?

The only thing I did was I went to the Apple.com , logged in and changed my primary e-mail since I will be losing the old email soon ( I have a different job). I said update info and verified the email was correct. I just went to settings on icloud and logged out and tried to log in and now it won't take anything. I don't even know now which e-mail they want the primary one or recovery, it won't take any of the 3. Not sure what else to try at this point, I guess I can't buy any more music.

Opening a disk file places a lock on it. How can I disable this?

Opening a local, disk-resident HTML file in Firefox seems to also place a lock on the ''directory'' in which it is.
If I try to delete the file, fine, the system does not object! If however I try to also delete the directory, even if I closed and ''deleted '' the file itself, I get an "Access denied.." response. Closing Firefox seem to remove the lock since then I have no problem deleting the directory.
I should mention that deleting, both of files and of the directory, is done (attempted) by a either a Perl script or from the Windows Explorer. Same result!
Is it possible to disable this locking, and if so, how do I do it?

A couple of other possibilities:
The CD is dirty / damaged / suffering from "CD Rot" - sometimes CDs may seem to play fine on a CD player (or using the CD-player function of a PC) but will not transfer correctly to a computer - this is the result of the way that CD players auto-correct the datastream from the CD where PCs, when reading the audio CD as data, do not.
Enabling the error correction function in iTunes import may alleviate if not fully resolve this
Use an alternate tool to extract the audio from the CD - Exact Audio Copy is probably the best out there, as it can be configured to attempt multiple reads of every audio sample on a CD to get a consistent result. Then import the resulting files into iTunes.
You don't say whether this is specific to one CD as in the original poster's case, but the "crackling" symptom has affected a significant number of users of the 64-bit version of iTunes 12.1.0.71 - these are mostly addressed in the most recent update (12.1.1.4), but if nothing else works it may be worth trying this alternative installer: iTunes 12.1.1 for Windows (64-bit — for older video cards)

Ringer volume slider bar keeps turning on, how do i disable it while I'm taking pictures.

I have gone in and tried to set all to vibrate, but still the ringer volume keeps coming up and the volume bar shoots all the way to high
it diong wrong, I keep missing those Kodak moments, waiting for it to clear from the LCD when in the camera mode.

I believe I found the problem, an app I have for a radio station, I just noticed the volume was all the way up.

Firewall lock keeps coming undone

Hi, This is my new 24" iMac. I love it. I am concerned because I use the lock "to prevent changes" in the firewall in the System Preferences.
I don't want the firewall getting turned off for any reason; I like it on 24/7, so I click the lock to lock it. But every so often, when I check the firewall there, the lock is undone somehow. Now generally the firewall still stays on, but this really concerns me.
I do use XP Pro with Parallels and at first I thought it was due to my going into the VM to make changes and that that was somehow changing the lock status with the Mac firewall.
But I can say now that I seriously doubt I've been into the VM lately to make any changes, so I'm not sure that that theory holds water.
I appreciate any light anyone could help shed on this matter. I'm checking my firewall twice a day now because I can't trust the lock to keep it safe and to keep it on.

Thanks Capaho...I want to make sure I get this right. When I click 'Security' under System Preferences, all I see is stuff about FileVault and a place where I can set the computer to require a password for when the computer wakes up from sleep.
There is stuff greyed-out below the password part. It looks like there I could set things to where a password is required to make any changes in System Preferences.

How do I get rid of "mail?" I only use gmail

I'm not sure what does "mail" mean, though If you mean you're using gmail by browser and you don't want to use Mail.app which come up when you login, get rid of Mail.app from System Preferences > Accounts > Login Items.
Or if you're using Gmail with Mail.app and you don't use other accounts, open Mail.app then, Preferences > Account and delete accounts you don't need.

HT1430 Ipad is on but screen is black. "Screen is locked" keeps sounding. How do I get screen back?

Ipad 2 was working fing, then screen turned off and it is saying "screen is locked" and audio promting all actions insted of showing them on screen. Can I re-set this? Already tried a normal re-set but it did not work.

Try a reset: hold down the home button along with the power button until you see the Apple, then let go.

It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
Delete the sessionstore.js file and possible sessionstore-##.js files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).

Ever since I updated to OSX 10.9.3 the menu bar and dock keep hiding. How can I disable this?

I updated to OSX 10.9.3 and now the top menu bars and the dock always hide. I always have to click at the top to get them to show again. I wan't to see them all the time as before. Any solutions? Btw. my automatically hide and show dock option from the dock options menu is disabled, but everything keeps hiding.

They hide when you use an App in Full Screen mode
Go to the top of the display and force the menu bar to be revealed and click on the blue full screen icon, to take it out if that mode

I begin uploading video to Facebook and a small window opens to show the progress bar but, the video stops uploading about every 5% when a notification comes from the top bar stating: "Firefox prevented the page from reloading" with an Allow button on the right. Regardless of clicking the allow button and putting Facebook in every exception list Firefox options seems to have or even turning pop up blockers off, that dam button keeps coming! How do I prevent or disable this?

Remove it from the BA and then remove it from the phone and then sync.... If that dont work you can unpair BA from phone and then make changes from both locations and then log back in...
Under Settings / Applications / Manage Applications / All / Sync Services / Clear Data.... This wont delete anything from phone or BA just stop the sync process until you log back into BA.
