HT203175 Why won't iTunes install properly? It gives the start up error "The procedure entry point JSStringGetUTF8String could not be located in the dynamic link library WebKit.dll"
I can't get iTunes to install/start on my HP laptop. When I start/install the current version, I get the following error "The procedure entry point "JSStringGetUTF8String could not be located in the dynamic link library WebKit.dll". Why isn't this dll included in the distribution? What do I do to get iTunes to install on my 64-bit AMD HP laptop.
Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. Now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "Apple Application Support" and then click "Repair".
Does iTunes launch properly now?
If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post:

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

Windows version 7. Auto update of iTunes to version 12.1 from 12.0.1.
At end of install process, message 'iTunes was not installed correctly. Error 7 (Windows error 127).
Tried to launch iTunes, anyway, but immediately got message 'The procedure entry point "CMBlockBufferCopyDataBytes" could not be located in the dynamic link library CoreMedia.dll'.
Tried downloading iTunes and updating manually - get exactly the same result.
No problem using iTunes before this. For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.

The error hints at a similar pattern to those discussed in the first and third boxes of the user tip, suggesting that you've got an outdated .dll file that needs replacing. You should find CoreMedia.dll in the one of the following folders:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
Delete it and then repair Apple Mobile Device Support from the Programs and Features control panel. If that doesn't work go for the full tear down and rebuild.

After installing the current version of iTunes, I get an AppleSyncNotifier.exe - Entry Point Not Found error. It says "The procedure entry point sqlite3_wal_checkpoint could not be located in the dynamic link library SQLite3.dll." Kindly advice a process to get rid of this error, without losing my files on the iTunes.
Hi, I get the same error EVERY time iTunes updates.
I have to do the fix that is suggested in this topic (cut and paste the sqlite3.dll)
My Question:
Since this happens every time iTunes updates...... Do I have to remove SQlite3.dll from the "apple application support" folder....... so that the sqlite3.dll is only located in the "mobile device support" folder?????
It is getting really annoying to have to do the "cut and paste" fix every time iTunes updates.
Thank You,

I recently tried to update iTunes to 12.0.1 and got this error message:
The procedure entry point ADAdPolicyEngine_DidEnterStation could not be located in the dynamic link library iAdCore.dll.
After that, I get: iTunes did not install properly. Reinstall iTunes.
I tried downloading iTunes again (without uninstalling it) and it won't download.
Any suggestions? Thanks so very much, I have been looking for an answer to this for
almost a week and just thought i'd look again and in 2 minutes my iTunes opened YIPPEE
I must have installed deleted everything in order at least 15 times
Is there anyways this cane get pinned to stay at top as it works and save people ploughing
through post after post which is just asking the same question.
Off to back up and I Cloud back up and see how it works without sidebar
again thank you -
I downloaded the latest version of iTunes on my PC. Now I cannot open iTunes. I receive the following error message: "The procedure entry point AVCFAssetCreateWithByteStreamAndOptions could not be located in the dynamic link library AVfoundationCF.dll" After pressing the "OK" button I receive a second error message: 'iTunes not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7 (Windows error 127)". I've uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled to no avail. I've also eliminated the temp files (per suggestions on the trouble-shooting page) and no luck. I also tried system restore and that did not fix the problem. Any thougths on a repair?
Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. Head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "Apple Application Support", click "Change" and then click "Repair".
If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post. Hi
I have tried to research these problems I am getting, but have not been able to resolve them.
1st is the above DDE Server Windows iTunes.exe - entry point not found.
This only occurs when I try to start iTunes.
if I click ok , several times, iTunes will start but slowly.
If at any time I have to reboot my computer I get
iTunesHelper.exe - the procedure entry point asl_add_log_file could not be located in the dynamic link library ASL.dll
if I click 3 times OK it goes away.
To this end I have uninstalled iTunes and rebooted my machine then gone to iTunes web site and downloaded the latest version.
Installing it but still get the same errors on reboot and trying to run iTunes
Anyone any ideas please.
I have a self build PC it has an Intel core 2 quad Q6000 @ 2.40GHz
Ram 4.00GB
32bit OS
Windows 7 Ultimate SP1
Firewall - Zonealarm
Virus - Zonealarm
Thanks in advance
Steve

I updated iTunes today (Windows). I restarted the computer but when I tried to launch, I get the message, ""The procedure entry point AVCFURLAssetInheritURIQueryComponentFromReferencingURIKey could not be located in the dynamic link library AVFoundationCF.dll".
I then did a new install of the latest iTunes version and got the same problem. No more iTunes.
