  • How to change background color in iWeb Header?

    I cannot change Header background color nor make it smaller.  I've gone into Inspector and zeroed out Header height, nothing changed. Color is problem.

    That the Fine Line theme, correct?  Try this:  delete the shape that's above the navbar. Move the navbar down till you get the right amount of white space above it.  Then use the following code in an HTML snippet to change the navbar background to white:
    <script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript"><!--
    function navBackgroundColor () {
    elem = parent.document.getElementById('nav_layer');
    elem.style.backgroundColor = "#5D68C3";
    clearInterval(chkNavLink);
    chkNavLink = setInterval('navBackgroundColor()', 500);
    // -->
    </script>
    Change #5D68C3 to #FFFFFF for a white background.  You could try setting backgroundColor = "#5D68C3" to backgroundColor = "" for a transparent background (not sure of this but worth a try).

  • How do I change header/footer print options for font, font size, and color?

    I know how to change the text for web page print of footers/headers. I can see no option to change font, font color, or font size (such as available on IE). I want to change the font, font color and font size of the footer/header when I print a web page. I read the FAQs, found nothing that seems to fit. Can you assist? or is this option available on Mozilla. I have the latest/greatest version (set to auto update).

    OK, my question was about how to change font/color in headers/footers... This suggestion changes the font/color in the text, but NOT in the footers, unless I want everything in the same font/color. I need footers/headers in RED BOLD. I can do this on IE, but there does not seem to be an option for Mozilla.

  • Change visited link color in Safari 5.1.3

    Visited link colors in Safari, most notably visited Google links when I return to the search page, don't change colors as they used to do...  Actually, I think it's been that way for a long time (years) now but I am just now coming back around to being interested in why and if there is a way to get back to the days where new links were BLUE and visited links were GREEN (or whatever color you wanted)...
    Is this still possible with the new Safari and if so, how do you go about setting this visted link color preference???
    thanks... bob...

    This appears to be an issue affecting most versions of Safari from about version 5 onwards.
    I recently experienced it with Safari version 5.0.6 and eventually found a fix adequate for my purposes.
    1 - Sometimes simply selecting 'Private Browsing' (on Safari menu) and then deselecting it cures the problem.
    2 - If that does not work I use the following Terminal command which has, so far, worked every time:
    defaults write com.apple.Safari RegisteredSafariSyncClient -bool false
    I must point out that I do not intend to use any sync services but it appears that if Safari gets confused it is necessary to use this command to reset its sync services.
    3 - If you don't like using the Terminal command you could trash the following preference file although this more brutal approach is more likely to lose data:
    ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist
    Quit from Safari before attempting 2 or 3.
    I have only tested the Terminal command on Safari 5.0.6 on a Leopard G4 without any user defined sync services but it will probably work on other versions and OSs. It is always safest to backup first.

    Hi Jim,
    try yourself with this VI. Consider the "active cell" indices are I32, so they can be negative.

  • Persona Issues- will only change header /footer color- no design..??

    I can not get personas to work correctly- I have searched and searched, found many with this issue, but couldn't find a solution that works for me.
    On https://www.getpersonas.com/en-US/ mouse over just changes color of the header / footer. When "wear" persona it just changes the color-I can switch through downloaded personas and it just changes the header / footer color
    I have went through troubleshooting, Have white-listed getpersonas.com, Disabled all security, restarted in safe mode, reinstalled firefox, disabled plug-ins, updated everything, tried adding (then deleting) persona plus, etc - all to no avail.
    any help is appreciated-

    Figured it out...if you click the cell, go under "Layout" and then expand the menu for "Borders & Rulers," the color option comes up.

    No, there's no way to change the color of anything. It's one of the most commonly requested options, especially from people with impaired vision.

  • Possible to change the colors of the templates? Or not?

    Regarding the style templates in iWeb '06:
    I notice that each template family has a certain color. Modern is white, others are wheat colored, others light pastel green and blue. One of them is black and uses a white colored font.
    Question:
    Is the color for each template style there to stay or is it changeable? I see that column size, box side, and font size, style and color are changeable but am suspecting that the color for the style of the page is not. Correct?
    So this means that, say, if I want to change the Modern style template to be RED on one page, then I would have to paste a solid red photo on top of it and use that photo as a base upon which to add other things? Or what?

    Well, lot of it has to do with the browser. Once the
    browser background image is in the cache, it helps a
    great deal; Firefox loads it pretty quickly; Safari
    will not; Opera is 'middle-of-the-road'... (And I
    don't even want to get into Internet Explorer!). If
    your site is targeted towards the same group of
    people, say a family site for example, and your pages
    become established in their browser caches, then it's
    not a problem. But if new people are visiting
    frequently then the chances are they may never even
    see your browser image. Again, this applies when
    hosting with .Mac. I haven't had this problem
    hosting to a remote server. .Mac is just plain slow
    to load.
    And this becomes particularly exacerbated if the
    design of the page is predicated on the browser image
    you have chosen....again, the design possibilities
    are endless as you can build upon your favorite
    photo, but you really need a fast server to maximize
    the potential.

    Dear Ap -- I must say that I have not understood what you wrote because I lack familiarity with some of the topics/concepts/terms that you mentioned. The browser issue went over my head, although I do understand about caches (I think). What I take away from what you said is that I had better not mess around with the clever procedures described for changing page color because the downside is worse than the advantage. I might take advantage of the clever techniques later on when I actually know what's going on. I am not at the Clever Techie stage yet.

  • Link colors in Safari are off

    Hi,
    I have a website, www.proactiveparenting.net that I built using an online company. I use Firefox to interface with the website because it gives me more features to use then Safari does.
    My problem is the color of the links on just one of the pages on my website are red/brown instead of the colors I set them to be. This only in safari, on both Mac's and PC's and as I said only on one of the pages. The rest of the website's links are the colors they are designed to be.
    Here is a link to the page on the website that I'm referring to, www.proactiveparenting.net/seminarsondemand.
    If any of you have any insight into this issue I would be grateful

    There are multiple ways to change the color of links, but here's a straightforward way to try. In the anchor tag for each link, place a style label such as this:
    {a href="link.html" style="color:#000000"} Link text {/a}
    (NOTE: I used "}" in the code instead of greater/less than symbols...the forums wont display those properly)
    You can also define this using page-specific styles in the "head" section of the html page, or define them in a separate cascading style sheet. From what I can tell, styles have not been defined for links in the source on that page, and since there are only a few links on the page that are red, I'd recommend editing each of them independently.
    The color value above is for black, but the blue links on your other pages have the color #333366.
