That's what it says, mine did too and was out of date. when Lion killed it.
Don't bother fixing it, it's a 4 year old machine and at it's end of life anyway, something else will just die on it, like the keyboard, the superdrive, the hard drive etc etc.
Wth all the money you'll spend fixing it, you could have a new machine.
Mac' laptops only last aobut 4 years with daily use now.

This is compounded actually by a Gmail issue. I have had this email address for ages, since the start of the beta. But lately in the last year or so, I am getting mail that seems to be intended for other people but it is using my email address. It is probably one of them who created the Apple ID.

Place the iPod in a sealed container with a desiccant for a week. Uncooked rice works. Change the desiccant every day or so for a week.

How much would it cost to replace the top case of the rMBP 13"

Today I accidentally dropped my earphones on the palm rest of my rMBP and since they were metal, you can now see a tiny dent near the edge of the palm rest. I really want to know how much it costs to get it replaced.

Call the repair shop where you plan on taking your MBP. Ask them for an estimate. Make sure they include the taxes and labor cost. Might as well get confirmation directly from the horses mouth!

I recently managed to get the whole casing of my 13" Macbook Pro (Mid-2009) replaced due to a missing foot and dodgy spacebar. The lid is dented and scratched so would like to know how much it would cost to replace? I know its not covered by AppleCare.

So i took my Macbook Pro 13'' (Mid-2009) into Apple because the spacebar was jammed and I had one of the feet of the bottom casing missing which was unusual (black circles). The unibody and bottom plate had a fair few dents and nicks and under AppleCare I was able to get the whole unibody and bottom case fixed for free. Saved myself a good £181!
This now leaves my lid which has one or two noticeable dents and the bottom right part is suffering from several scratches. I was wondering how much a new lid would cost if I took it into Apple? I know it won't be covered under AppleCare as its accidental damage but want to know whether its worth paying for to have a once again dent free Macbook Pro .
As a side note, do Apple upgrade your hardware at all, such as the hard drive or memory? I know it would be cheaper to do it at an independant computer shop or by myself but would like to explore my options first.

If you want everything the same on both computers you need to be running the same OS X version. You can't because your iMac is a PPC machine, not Intel.
But to see information about your hard drive is the same for both. Simply select the drive icon on the Desktop. Press COMMAND-I to open the Get Info window. Disk information is in the upper panel.

when you play the CD in your laptop on your home screen a Cd should pop up under the name of the album. Than when you open itunes it will probly say something like "let this CD download" or something like that. If it doesn't than automaticlly while the CD is importing to your itunes a page will pop up with a progess of the CD download.

I dropped my macbook pro on the floor and I wanted to see how much it would cost to get a bent corner on the lid to get fixed.

I recently dropped my macbook pro from the couch and it fell on the floor that was about a foot down. Try closing the Music app completely and see if it works properly when you re-open the app : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Music app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Music app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work also do a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Thanks for the help, but i've actually done that before.
It does not help, because it only shows the photos on the camera roll and do not show the photos synchronized with that pc that i dont have access anymore.
The photos/albums all appear on the ipad, i can see it without problems but i cant get them out of the ipad to save onto pc for backup.
And i reaaly need it, as it is the only place that i actually have these photos now...
