There's an obstruction in the port, the port is broken, or (most likely) you're not pushing hard enough. It can be stiff when the phone is new.

My (postage stamp icon) mail program will not send outgoing mail - only receives mail.
Says the outgoing mail server is wrong, but Comcast says it's right - what's up with that?
Is there a way to reload the standard (postage stamp icon) mail program?Clearly there's something wrong with the configuration. Reverting to some other mail application (whatever the 'standard' one is...) won't help.
What does the Connection Doctor (Mail -> Window -> Connection Doctor) have to say about it?
Chances are your username/password for your SMTP server are incorrect. -
I Recently got a used iPod touch, version 3.1.3. I do not know how to reset everything. First I have tried to reset all settings, but it asks for restriction code. Also, my iTunes does not recognize it. Please help!

I just purchased this movie on Thursday, May 15, so just a few days ago. I have never had any trouble whatsoever since I have been in Vietnam. I have downloaded several movies and even music and they have all synced to my respected Apple products except for this purchase.

My computer does not automatically sync the iphone. What should i do to solve this?
i cannot manually sync the phone to the computer! the only thing my computer does is to charge my iphone which my itunes cannot even manually sync to the phone through wifi!
Something went wrong with the update, which is why you should always back up before you update. And yes, your data is already lost.

You should get a new micro-SIM from T-Mobile. It is possible to cut down a standard SIM, but often that leads to erratic behavior or destruction of the SIM.

I used to be able to sync my Outlook calendar with my Iphone calendar, but the last few times I tried it did not sync. Help!
Anything. It completes three steps only and when I see the backup in the summary info it reads from yesterday, not today. I also just bought a new mac and updated to IOS 6, so not sure if that has something to do with it.

Check that your phone settings are not set to remove messages from your server after downloading.

I'm using an iPhone 4S with the latest updated software. Under "usage" it shows less available than total, so my last backup went through (have only done that once in the short time I've owned the phone). I had it setup to only backup manually, when I elect to do so.
Expecting to manually perform a backup this afternoon, I was surprised to be unable to click on iCloud under "Settings". Until I can do that, the app is useless.
Did I do something inadvertantly to cause it to be unselectable? I've turned the phone off and back on but that didn't cause any change in the iCloud status.For what is backed up to iCloud see: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4859

And then put in rice for 3 days and plugged it into my computer but it keeps flashing the Apple logo and a no charge sign. It also is not connecting to my computer and it does not say "Amelia's iPhone" in iTunes

Ethernet Plugs DO NOT CLICK into place!

I just bought a brand new iBook at an Apple Store today and it's great... but I plugged an ethernet cord into the ethernet port and the plastic end does not click into place... I tried multiple cords from different makers that I know work in other devices... The port does not look faulty but maybe it is, I'm not sure.
Anyone else ever have this kind of problem with their MacBook?
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!CINEMAnGUY: If you ethernet cable is the type with the rubber/plastic sleeve on the back of the connector, you might try sliding it back to prevent it from hitting up against the MacBook jack. These sleves are more of a pain in the * than anything else/\. Good Luck

Downloaded songs on my ipod touch does not sync into my library
When i download songs or music videos directly on my ipod touch from the itunes store it does not sync into my library when i plug the ipod into my computer. Although they do show up on My Device when i have connected to computer. but not in library. I tried to drag into library and or playlist but no luck there either.But the apps i downloaded did transfer to my library.I do not have my ipod set up to auto sync .But thought i could do it manually by dragging.Help would greatly be appreciated.
Dragging won't work, but you should be able to click on the device, then choose File>Transfer Purchases, and see your music and videos on the computer.

I have a iphone 5 and I can login with my apple id to purchase music. However, when I try to login into icloud using the very same username and password that I use in the apple store it does not work to enter icloud, so what what gives???
I could do that, however when I select the icloud button (or whatever the heck it is) I am asked to enter the apple id and password. So if you are suppose to create another one for icloud you'd think it would give you the option at this point which would be logical.
