HT203433 Trouble with my Season Passes.

Since about last March my Season Passes stopped downloading automatically. Even when I check  for available downloads it say they have all been downloaded even though I have several to download. I have checked the setting and they only have automactic download for music and apps. This is a media computer, I just want the TV shows. What do I do?

Yes. As explained in Mail 2.0 Help: Setting the account your email is sent from, you can choose any one of your accounts as the default, or the account of the last viewed mailbox. So, if you have 5 accounts, you will have 6 choices in the "Send new mail from" pop-up menu in the "Composing" preference section.

    No, I use Chrome daily with 10.9.1 and it is still very speedy.

  • Why do those who have not yet purchased a show get it sooner than those with a season pass?

    So, anyone else noticed that you can go to a show's page in iTunes and find the latest episode available for sale about an hour or two before it's downloadable via a season pass?
    I've already paid for my shows, I should get them at the same time as new purchaser.  I'm not even asking for them sooner, just at the same time.

    The same can happen if you edit the tracks on the player itself. The changes aren't written to the file, and just kept in the library.     Yes, a software package that updates all the required programs and installs a new Explorer type program is available to download (click the link Support > Downloads on this page). It's called Creative Software Suite for PlaysForSure-enabled Creative Zen Touch Players.

    It shouldn't do, but see above.
    On a side note, the organisation/modifying features on the new software are quite disappointing. The software simply displays windows style folders, which although is useful for storing files, is a hassle for organising music, as it is sorted by album, with no alternati've display. Take note Creative, nomad explorer, however slow and buggy at times, was a far more useful interface.
    This is the way the new MTP firmware works unfortunately. You see the contents in folders as opposed to on the player itself where it's back to a tag based library.

New episode not downloading (using check for purchases) or showing in purchase history.     I'm having roughly the same issues. The Unit hasn't appeared for four days (which might be CBS's fault... but it's still irritating). Worse, though, is CSI Season 8. I, too, see the second episode there in the store, but I've not been notified by email and no attempts to "check purchases" have worked for two days now.
    I complained to iTunes Support and they issued me two credits. Nice, but it doesn't solve my problem. I think they intended for me to use them to get my "missing" episodes, but that won't help in either situation. The Unit isn't there and could, in theory, download properly once it finally shows up. The CSI episode, though, is even worse. When I try to use one of the credits to get episode #2, I get a message that my Season Pass already paid for it and it's just not available yet.
    So, for those of you speculating in anger that you're being pushed toward re-paying for an episode... you can stop worrying. You can't. Even when Apple offers me free credit to do it, I can't.
    I complained again that the credits won't work in this situation and got this reply:
    " I also see that when you try to purchase the episode you are being advised your trying to purchase something you've already purchased. You can go ahead and ignore that message and purchase the episode. It won't make a difference."
    Uhhh... totally missed the point there. The only button you get is "ok" to acknowledge that you're being told you cannot buy an episode you've already bought (yet aren't being given).

    I bought the season pass for Heroes and am trying to download the next episodes but nothing happens. When I click on check purchases it says that all purchases have been downloaded for this account. But the last 2 episodes are not in there. My husband got on the computer and clicked away...resulting in having to reinstall itunes! Could this be the problem? And what could I do to fix this? (besides not letting my husband near the computer again!) JJ

    First, make sure that you're logged into the iTunes Store using the account ID and password under which you purchased the season pass.
    If you're sure that it's correct and the missing episodes still aren't appearing, contact the iTunes Store customer support department through the form at the bottom of their Season Pass FAQ web page (I recommend that you use the form, not the link in your Purchase History as they advise; that's not proven to be very reliable) and explain the problem to them.

    Problem: iTunes TV show Season Pass is NOT downloading newly available episodes even though new content is fully available on iTunes Store for purchase as single episodes
    I purchased Season 4 of The Vampire Diaries on Thursday 10/11.  The 1st episode, called "Growing Pains," aired on the evening of Thursday 10/11 and has been available since approx. 2 am EST Friday 10/12 for purchase/download on the iTunes Store, but it is NOT automatically downloading to my iTunes account even though I repeatedly click "Check for Available Downloads."  The button to purchase the single episode in the iTunes Store is activated, meaning anyone can purchase that individual episode for $2.99, but I paid for the whole Season Pass and I can't retrieve this single episode.
    My iTunes is NOT recognizing that there is an Episode 1 available for download.  I rebooted my Mac, restarted iTunes, logged into the iTunes store to click on "Purchased" content and try to force a download, all to no avail -- the screen listing the episodes available for download under my Purchased account fails to list Episode 1 of this TV show.  It as though this Episode is invisible to my iTunes account/download queue.  Yet, Episode 1 is sitting on the iTunes Store server and has been there for the past day.
    I have clearly identified this problem to Apple Customer Service and they did not seem to intially understand my problem.  They told me that it takes a few days for TV networks to make an episode available to the iTunes store, and therefore I should wait for a few days -- this totally misses the issue!  The premiere episode has already been provided by the TV network to iTunes, and is available now on the iTunes Store.  The problem is a technological server-side one, where for some reason my iTunes download queue is not picking up on the fact that there is new, pre-paid content available for download.
    Please help if you experienced similar issues with your Season Pass.  I bought a Season Pass for last year and it worked without any problems -- all episodes aired on Thursday nights and were downloaded by 2 or 3 am Friday morning.  I am thinking of cancelling/refunding the Season Pass, and just paying for Hulu+ instead of waiting around hoping for Customer Service to finally read my email and DO something instead of telling me to "wait a few days."
    Below is my email thread with Customer Service.  I can't believe there is no longer phone support to talk to a live person, who should be able to reset my download queue -- or do something on the server-side -- easily.

    I'm having the same problem on Windows and Mac, neither automatically download episodes from any of my season passes, nor do they find it when I select "Check for available downloads,"  it informs me all episodes have been downloaded for my Apple ID, which in fact they have not.  
    I have to find the episode in my Library(which shows all available episodes on my computer and in the iTunes Store) and from there I have to manually click to download.  I tried deauthorizing all my computers and reauthorizing just one computer, and that didn't work either.  I also deleted my other device(iPad) from the "iTunes in the Cloud" just in case there was some issue associated with that, and that didn't work either.
    It’s sad that the iTunes rep didn't really "listen" to what you said.  I find this happens at many other companies too.  They often are trying to fit your problem into some prepared script or solution, or they are distracted or in a hurry and don't actually read or listen fully to an even well defined account of the problem.

    I purchased a season pass for the 3rd season of LOST. I've downloaded all 6 episodes when they were available. iTunes would kindly send me an email... The 7th episode which aired last night (02/08/07) is available and ready to download. However my season pass is not showing up. iTunes wants me to buy the episode.
    Apple what's up with my season pass?
    Anyone else having a this issue? Suggestions?

    Ditto on the unavailable download. I have the season pass as well and when I check for purchases it says I have downloaded all available purchases. Clearly I have not done so because I have not downloaded last night's episode. I had a similar problem a week or two ago with Heroes, and after three or four days I was finally able to download my pre-purchased episode.
    Seems that other users recently had the same problem with 30 Rock and Studio 60. Looks to me like the iTunes folks are not up to the task of managing the season pass option.
    What's the point of a season pass if you can buy individual episodes before season pass episodes are available?
    Shame on them.

    So, I bought a season pass for "How I Met Your Mother" Season 7. 
    The newest episode has been up for download for at least 8 hours, but I still can't download it with my season pass.  Is there a way around this?  How? 
    I live overseas, and this is one of the few indulgences from back home we get.

    Without knowing the specific program you're referring to I can only offer general comments. Rebates are generally processed by a company that specialized in handing those for vendors, and as such, processing amid the many thousands if not millions of other claims takes a while. Most Apple rebate programs I've seen say to allow up to eight weeks for the rebate check or promotional item to arrive.

    I haven't purchased a season pass since the strike started, but if I paid for a season and ended up paying more for a season pass than I would have paid purchasing the episodes individually, then I would contact iTunes support or at least send feedback.
    The last time I purchased a season pass that fell short in episodes I received an email from Apple that gave me credit for videos from the iTunes store without even dealing with the feedback system or customer service.
    Did you contact Apple regarding the season pass for Desperate Housewives Season 4? That's what? Around 6 or 7 episodes that you overpaid for.
    If you aren't satisfied with your previous experience with a season pass during the strike period then contact Apple before spending more money on another pass, if one should become available.

    how do I stop season pass purchases from continuing?

    for some reason, new episodes that are clearly available in the itunes store do not download straight away when subscribed with a season pass. seems to be a 12-24 hour delay. this is clearly against apple's own season passes FAQ, which states that "Once a new episode becomes available in the iTunes Store it will be available for you to download". This isn't happening, it's delayed, even when checking for available downloads. looking at other posts, this seems like a common problem recently.

    We are offering a ton of special promotions with the release of Mortal Kombat X, so much so that it’s hard to keep track of all of them.  Getting $5 off a Season Pass is a good deal, so I can understand you wanting to take advantage of them.
    This promotion is not a pre-order offer, but an offer with the purchase of the game.  That means that if you pre-ordered in-store, the store would simply have to add the Season Pass to your purchase and you should be all set.  However, if you pre-ordered online for in-store pickup, the store would most likely have to return your purchase after you completed pickup and then re-ring it to add the Season Pass. 
    Since it appears that the Season Pass is only available in our stores, there is not a way to add it to your cart to get the $5 off.
    I hope that this helps and that you are able to benefit from the Season Pass promotion should you choose to pick it up!

  • Multi-Pass or Season Pass?

    How do I know which one I purchased? My Purchase History does not indicate one way or the other. I thought I had paid for a "season pass" for Battlestar Gallatica season 3 (in fact my purchase history shows a $42.42 charge for Battlestar Gallatica season 3 but doesn't elaborate). Today I got an e-mail saying that my "multi-pass" couldn't be renewed (which is not a surprise as I've changed banks recently) but why would it need to be renewed? I thought I had a season pass. Besides that issue, the season is over now and I've downloaded all the episodes, why would Apple need to charge me for any more? Also, it's interesting that I was charged (a total including tax) of $42.42 when the current "season pass" is only $34.99 (which would be $38.09 with tax) in the first place... It would seem to me that Apple should be refunding me $4...

    OK - Just trying to clarify things here.
    1) There is not a MultiPass option for shows like BattleStar Galaactica (Great show BTW). You can only purchase the Season Pass.
    2) I got an email from iTunes giving me free video credits since the Season was shorter than was originally predicted. I found the email and here's an the jist of it:
    "Thank you for purchasing the Season Pass for Battlestar Galactica - Season 3. Due to a change in the number of episodes the network plans to air, the Season Pass price for Battlestar Galactica - Season 3 has been reduced.
    We want you to be completely satisfied with your Season Pass purchase, so please accept this free video code, good for any five $1.99 TV show episodes or music videos on the US iTunes Store."
    3) So the MultiPass email you received was for a different show or a glitch in the system (maybe caused by the shorten season?). Did the email specifically mention "Battlestar?" Anyway, since it didn't renew, you weren't charged for anything.
