hi im getting a red dot next to some of my music, when I try to play , it seems to only relate to my music selection that was not purchaseed from Apple , from memory it all seemed to go wrong when I ran updates. The red dot is also present on my laptop , is there anyway I can restore all my music to play . Thanks john
If you didn't move to iCloud, do it. Then, go to System Preferences > MobileMe and delete it. Finally, go to Mail > Preferences > Accounts, delete MobileMe email and configure mail

Why are red dots within red dots next to some songs on my phone? How can I fix this so that the music plays and the dots don't just turn grey when I press them? All the music is from CDs not the music purchased from iTunes. Thank you.
The red circles with squares inside them often mean that the sync with your iTunes went bad.
Try re-syncing your device. Can you play these tracks in iTunes?
If a re sync does not work then you may need to rebuild your iTunes Library.

never done this myself have always been lucky with the resync.

I will just echo that you did not get recovery disks with your PC....no PC maker provides them in the box any more. When the laptop is new you are prompted to make recovery disks but most people do not do that. You can download a disk image of your licensed Windows 7 version from which you can burn a DVD and then fill in the drivers as mentioned on your other post. Let me know if you need a link for the download. But frankly it is worth getting the recovery disks from HP. I would not buy them from eBay and I buy lots of stuff from eBay....too much chance you will get the wrong ones. -

Have you tried the trick of setting Firefox to ''lie'' to TalkTalk mail by saying that you are still using version 3.6?

Note: when you open about:config the first time, it will display a warning message that you should be careful with the changes you make. That's definitely good to bear in mind.

Quicktime audio file to CD for playing on a CD Player can you help
I have a quicktime audio file (which seems to show as a movie?) which I have on my desktop. I want to burn it to a CD so that my uni tutor can listen to it on a CD player. Can you help. I get all the way to the burn thing in disk utilities, but it won't burn. I'm thinking it needs to be saved in another format?
Oh, thank you Martin. I've cracked it right the way to burning the file, but it doesn't play on a CD player. I definitely brought it through iTunes, but it shows on the CD as a Quicktime file. I think this may be the problem. Liz

iPhoto preferences > Advanced > Print Products Store
Set it to the country of the Store you want to order from.
The country in this setting needs to be the same as the country of your billing address and shipping address. And the AppleiD and Credit card have to be valid in that country. -
I'm trying to update my IPAD 2 to iOS 7.1.2 but don't have enough memory to do so. In I-Tunes I'm told to change my media sync options to gain more memory, but I don't know how. Can you help?
Turn off the check mark to sync your music and also the check mark for the video. Sync the device. This will remove the items from you iPad but still keep them on your computer. Install IOS 7.1.2. Then turn on the check marks for your music and videos and resync the device.

When I open up iphoto and click on the events tab then double click on an event, it used to show minis of all the photos in that event. Now it shows only one photo at a time. How do I get it back? Can you help?
On the bottom bar of the window (on the left iPhoto 11, on the right in other versions) note the slider. Drag it left.

I've done everything I know in order to get my calendar in iCloud synchronized with my macBook, my IPad and my iPhone, but get no success. I've checked if all devices are set to the same account. Can you help me?
The only thing I can see strange is that when I login my iCloud account through my principal email address, when I check my preferences is marked an @me.com address that is old and I don't use it anymore, but I can't erase it or even change it.

I am trying to connect my Apple TV to an older Panasonic projection TV using an HDMI to a DVI cable to the Digital IN. I cannot get any sound. Can you help?
DVI interface does't allow audio. Is there optical IN from your Panasonic TV? By then you can connect your ATV to Panasonic using optical together. It will work.

I've checked your account. I see that you just purchased the subscription this morning. The order is still pending processing, which is why you haven't yet been able to log in an use your subscription. It can take 24-48 hours for a subscription to process fully.
