HT203808 Verify iCloud Password
Few days ago my iPhone 4S started to bother me with "Verify iCloud Password" message on lock screen. Device asks me to enter my Apple ID Password once I unlock it. Same stuff every day at same time, about noon. Anybody know what can couse this?
Did you verify the account by clicking the Verify Now link on the verification email that Apple sent?

I am unable to verify icloud password, always "times out"
I have reapeatedly been asked to Verify my icloud password for 2 days... won't accept...always times out...even on my imac (Lion OS X 10.7.5) directly @ icloud.com.. " CONNECTION ERROR: icloud encountered an error while trying to establisconnect to the server" ...password was reset, and works everywhere BUT on icloud...so I can't backup...software is up to date..no other issues..Any advice??
RichPut in a request for another verification e-mail to be sent to you.
Start here, change your country if necessary and go to manage your account.
Also check your Mail rules and filtering, the verification mail may be going to a junk folder or even being deleted altogether. You may also wish to contact your mail provider to see if their spam filters are removing the email before it gets to you. -
Asked to verify iCloud password repeatedly
Suddenly I'm being asked to verify my iCloud password over and over on both iPhone and iPad. It's very annoying. Any ideas out there?
If the message came in without you changing anything prior to that. It can be a scam.

As above
Welcome to the Apple Community.
If you are using iCloud backup, temporarily turn it off for diagnostic purposes and see if the situation improves. -
My ipad suddenly became corrupted and prompted me to go through recovery mode. I followed the reinstall process, entered in passcodes, and allowed the reinstall for my apps to take place overnight. However, now the Ipad 2 does not recognize my icloud password, yet this password works on all my other devices. The actual prompt is "Verify iCloud password: iCloud requires that you verify your password" Help, suggestions or advice?
Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430

1864 For your security, please provide a longer answer.
Seriously how am I suppose to provide a longer answer? If you are having problems using the website to reset your password, you can call AppleCare support. They can assist you with AppleID issues, and I believe there will be no charge for that.

Hi dewaldfrompretoria,
If you are being prompted for an older Apple ID/iCloud password, you may find the steps outlined in the following article helpful:
If you're asked for the password to your previous Apple ID when signing out of iCloud

I am receiving email that I should verify my password for iCloud but I can't see the link that I should start. HELP please!!!!!!
You select the desired file (tick the square box on the left of the file name).
You click on the "share"/"send" icon (the envelope with the arrow that points up and to the right).
You are presented with the share/send dialog.
Here you select the "Send To" choice.
This is done by placing a tick in the box beside either "Public Link (create a public link for anyone to view)"
OR
"Personalizdd Link (send email invitations to individuals)"
NOTE: The second choice is only available if you have a subscription to Adobe Send service.
So, for a free "Files" account in Adobe's cloud you'd tick "Public Link".
At the bottom left you'll observe the "Create Link" button.
Click it.
You are presented with a new dialog that informs you that the Public Link has been generated and that link is provided in a field within the dialog.
You can copy the link to a text file for future copy-paste into a post to a forum or bulletin board or you can provide the link to otheres via an email.

My 1st gen iPad keeps asking me to verify my iCloud password
Two months ago I upgraded to the iPad 4 (running IOS 7.1.1), and it is working very well, syncing to iCloud just fine. Since then, though, my 1st generation iPad (running IOS 5.5), almost daily, asks me to verify my iCloud password. I don't think it should be doing this, because nothing about my iCloud account has changed, except for the added iPad. How do I stop or correct this issue?
This is optionally, you can go to Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > turn iCloud Backup to off.
You can backup your device later or, just type your Apple ID. -
Apple ID and iCloud Passwords are Not the Same
iCloud uses a different password to login than my Apple ID which I use for iTunes and everything else I do with Apple. Can I change my iCloud password to match my Apple/iTunes ID or will that cause problems like those I've seen noted on forums? OR, is it a good idea to keep the passwords different since my Apple & iTunes ID is connected to my credit card?
Note in Case this Applies: I am running iTunes 11.1 on my MacPro in OS 10.6.8 Snow Leopard and will upgrade to Mountain Lion in October and then Mavericks when it arrives (if stable). I am about to install iOS 7 on my iPhone 4s (64G) and iPad 4 (32G).Can I jump onto this discussion with a similar problem.
I updated the OS on iPhone 5 and Ipad to get the latest security updates. Since then I cannot access my icloud account. I have tried changing the password and get to the point were I am sent a verification email and advised to;
"Check your email and look for a verification email from Apple. Click on the Verify Now link and sign in with your new Apple ID and password". Unfortunately there is no "verify now link"
Consequently I can no longer access my account. Any ideas?! -
Seems my iCloud password is not the same as my iTunes. Where do I go to reset my iCloud password? I cannot access anything when prompted to put in my iCloud password because I do NOT know it. Thanks! I've used my iTunes password for everything else Apple does and would like to use the same one for my iCloud.
Do the following:
Make sure you are signed into iMessage and FaceTime with your current ID. If they are signed into the old ID, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and Settings>FaceTime, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with your current ID.
Then temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. (You should not have to verify the old email account so it doesn’t matter if you no longer have access to it.) Now go to Settings>iCloud, turn off Find My iDevice and enter your current password when prompted (even though it prompts you for the password for your old ID). Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Sign Out (or Delete Account if you are not running iOS 8) and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign back in with your current iCloud ID and password (your data will download back to your device).
