HT203899 My iPhone 4S keeps on resetting while charging.

My iPhone 4S keeps on resetting (show Apple logo and peep with about 20 sec intervals) while charging. This happens since the last iOS update (may be co-incident). Anybody with advice to resolve?

I seem to have this problem as well, and only after iOS 8.3.  Repeatedly reboots while charging/connected to Mac.  My workaround which seems to work:  ensure the screen is turned ON while charging/connected.  Go to Settings>General>Auto-Lock, set to "Never".  Then turn down the brightness all the way to save your battery power.  You can revert to your original Auto-Lock setting when done charging.  Hope this helps.  We need a fix for this annoying bug asap.

  • IPad 2 Reset while charging

    Hello support community!
    I've got an iPad 2 (16GB WiFI) that will reset while charging.  Here's the specifics:
    * Plug iPad in to charge
    * When it hits 100%, after a few minutes, the screen will become unresponsive or will it will reset on it's own.
    What I've done to fix this:
    * New charger (Apple)
    * New sync cable (Apple)
    * Reset using the iPad (under Settings)
    * Reset using iTunes
    * Reset using iTunes restore and no iCloud backup
    This iPad is about 2.5 months old and I have a case open with Apple.
    Suggestions?

    Return it for a possible warranty replacement.  Assuming that when you use the word 'Reset' you actually mean 'Restore', I think you've done all you can do.

  • My iphone 4s keeps dying with 30% charge left on it.  now it will not turn on on at all?, my iphone 4s keeps dying with 30% charge left on it.  now it will not turn on at all?

    my iphone 4s could not hold a charge....at 30% and now it has turned off and will not turn on again??

    Hey sewen,
    Thanks for the question. To completely isolate the issue, you may want to follow these steps:
    Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
    - Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
    - Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion.
    Learn about LCIs and corrosion.
    - Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
    - After at least 15 minutes, if:
                   - The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
                   - The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
                   - Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
    - If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
                   - If the display turns on, go to step 4.
                   - If the display remains black, go to next step.
    - Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to
    restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
    - If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.

  • IPhone 4 getting electric shock while charging

    You may have a short in the USB cable or charger, try a different cable if you can. I shocked myself on a frayed iPhone cable and switching it obviously fixed the problem

  • Iphone 3gs keeps rebooting often when charging on Kensington Dock n Belkin

    I recently bought a Kensington Dock and a Belkin FM transmitter *** car charger for my Iphone 3gs (OS 4). When charging on the dock the phone keeps rebooting often. It doesnt happen if I'm just charging the phone using the regular charger OR when USB connected to the computer. Can someone advise why this happens when charging the Iphone using a Kensington dock OR belkin FM transmiter *** car charger. Both accessories are suppposed to be compatible with Iphone 3gs.

    Hate to say, but if your phone has been rebooted, restored or recovered.  It sounds like a hardware issue.  Send it to the refuribish line with the rest of them.   Now i know you said you restored it.  but there are a couple other ways of doing it that might help.
    1. Reboot methods. The first thing to do is try to reboot the iPhone, which you can do by holding the top button and the home button for about ten seconds. In some cases, the iPhone is actually still on, but a bug stops the screen from displaying anything, so you can reverse the problem by doing the reboot. If you still see nothing on the screen, try to plug the iPhone in and again try the reboot methods to see if you can get the screen to display.
    2. Restoring the iPhone. If the iPhone shows up in iTunes, but it still doesn't seem to turn on, it's definitely a display problem. When rebooting fails, you can restore the iPhone from iTunes, and this should fix whatever bugs caused the original issue. Realize that you'll have to reload your music if you restore to another software version. To restore, plug the iPhone in, go into iTunes and click the iPhone's icon on the side of the select screen. Click on the restore button and agree to the prompt asking if you really want to restore the iPhone's software.
    3. Recovery mode. You can put the iPhone into recovery mode if it has a charged battery by holding down the home button before connecting it to iTunes, then continuing to hold the button until iTunes recognizes that the iPhone's in recovery mode. Recovery mode is a bare-bones way of booting the iPhone that allows you to perform a restore when you're dealing with a serious issue such as the iPhone failing to turn on or display anything on its screen.
    try one of these if you havent already.  if still nothing, its time to take it in or get a new phone.

  • Iphone 3 keeps rebooting/resetting itself

    Is the phone dead or any ideas out there for me?

    When connected to iTunes try "Reset" to factory defaults.
    It doesn't help others to use incorrect iPhone terminology.  What you're referring to is a "Restore" not a "Reset" (also not clear if you restored with a backup or as a new iPhone).
