if I erased my iphone on icloud are my photos deleted?

If you remotely erased your phone using Find My iPhone, everything on the phone is deleted.  If you backed up your phone on iCloud, your camera roll photos would still be contained in the backup and could be recovered by restoring the backup to another iPhone.  Photo stream photos from the last 30 days could also be recovered by signing into your iCloud account and enabling photo stream on a compatible iOS device or computer.

  • I accidentally erased my iPhone in icloud, how can I restore it?

    Hi,
I gave my iPhone to my boyfriend, but iCloud still showed that I have 2 iPhones now. Thus, I erased his iPhone in iCloud. But his phone is not working now.
    How can I restore it?
    Thanks,
    Katya

You cannot delete the clock application.
Have you checked to see if it is on another page or in a folder?
You can also reset the home screen layout.
Have a look at the manual:

If the thief reset the phone, will it also erase the product serial no. which already registered in Apple? if the new user connect to itune and register the phone, will it show this phone already registered by other user and it was a lost phone. Am i still able to track my iphone if i didnt erase my iphone in Apple and icloud?

You cannot do anything until it comes online.
What To Do If Your iDevice or Computer Is Lost Or Stolen
    iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad
If you activated Find My Phone before it was lost or stolen, you can track it only if Wi-Fi is enabled on the device. What you cannot do is track your device using a serial number or other identifying number. You cannot expect Apple or anyone else to find your device for you. You cannot recover your loss unless you insure your device for such loss. It is not covered by your warranty.
If your iPhone, iPod, iPod Touch, or iPad is lost or stolen what do you do? There are things you should have done in advance - before you lost it or it was stolen - and some things to do after the fact. Here are some suggestions:

  • How to undo erase your iphone on icloud

i erased my iphone on  icloud and my phone is turned off and it cannot be turned back on again. What can i do to revive my phone back on?

You are welcome, Lena.  Hope you are successful in getting the iPhone working again, but if it doesn't be sure to take it to an Apple store genius bar and see what kind of out-of-warranty replacement they will offer you.

  • If I restored my new iPhone from iCloud backup, and I delete the old iPhone backup to make room on iCloud to back up my new phone, will it delete everything on the new phone?

If I restored my new iPhone from iCloud backup, and I delete the old iPhone backup to make room on iCloud to back up my new phone, will it delete everything on the new phone?

I have this exact same issue.  Replaced my iPhone 4s with the new iPhone 5s, setting up my new iPhone 5s to restore from iCloud.  This completed and now I am unable to delete my old iPhone 4s iCloud backup (consuming 15.1 GB of my 20GB allocation).  How can I delete it, so that I get my 15 GB back?  I am not going to invest in additional iCloud storage, because I will be 15 GB down from the off.

  • HT4489 The number of contacts on my Macbook,iPhone and iCloud are all different. So when i tried to import vCards from my address book on to my iCloud a message came up saying "invalid vCards"? Any ideas

The number of contacts on my Macbook,iPhone and iCloud are all different. So when i tried to import contacts which i thick are called vCards from my address book on to my iCloud through the options menu on icloud a message came up saying "invalid vCards"? Any ideas? Really want to get this sorted if i could
    Cheers

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Make sure the contacts you are adding are added to your 'iCloud' group and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud group (you can do this by checking in groups), non iCloud contacts will not sync.

  • Can I save my photos from my iPhone to iCloud/iTunes, and then delete them from my iPhone to  free up space on my iPhone?I would  still like to keep them somewhere where they can  be accessed.

Can I save my photos from my iPhone to iCloud/iTunes, and then delete them from my iPhone to  free up space on my iPhone?I would  still like to keep them somewhere where they can  be accessed.

One option is to turn on iCloud Photo Library on the phone and go to Settings > iCloud > Photos and turn on "Optimize iPhone Storage." Then you don't delete the photo from the phone but it does occupy significantly less space. More information in iCloud Photo Library FAQ - Apple Support

  • Switched from iphone 4 to iphone 5 - where are my photos?

I switched from iphone 4 to iphone 5 - where are my photos?

Did you have them backed up anywhere? If not, they are most likely still on your iPhone 4. If you back them up to the cloud or to your computer, you could then place them on your new phone if you wanted.

  • What gets deleted when i erase mt iphone from icloud?

my phone is in the wrong hands and i want to delete all my apps. i deleted my iphone from icloud already. is that going to delete all the apps? i really need an answer ASAP please!!!!!
    thank you

Just to be sure we all understand one another, what do you mean by "i deleted my iphone from icloud already." What exactly did you do?

  • If I delete photos on my Iphone or Ipad, are they also deleted from Icloud and other devices which are synced with Icloud?

I have a number of photos on my Ipad and/or Iphone, and I have synced them with Icloud (my IMac is also synced with Icloud). I know that I can choose to synch directly with my IMac instead of with Icloud, but I would like to know what happens to the photos if I delete them from my Ipad/Iphone? I want to delete photos and movies to make more room on the devices.
I have not selected automatic syncing with Icloud for my photos.
I assume that the photos remain in Icloud until I go to Icloud to delete, but does anyone know how that is supposed to work?
    Thanks

Remember that you should not store photos on iCloud. It's time and capacity limited. It holds up to 1,000 photos for no more than 30 days. So, import  no. 1001 and the first one is dumped. Leave them untouched and they will be deleted from iCloud after 30 days.
You can't delete individual photos from iCloud (only reset the whole thing) so trashing from a device will not trash from iCloud.

  • Switch carrier, unlocked iphone, restored...all photos deleted

I changed carrier today from ATT to Tmobile, had the phone unlocked and went through the process with ATT on the phone.
Backed up the phone...twice in two days
Support said the phone needed to be restored to be unlocked...fine as long at will reupload all my data and photos.
Restore phone and BAM only music is restored.
4 years of photos (was a 3gs) gone.
Isn t BACKUP supposed to mean BACKING UP as in ALL CONTENT?
Are the photos and videos NOT backed up when you are doing a backup and better question how do I get these photos back to the iphone if they are backed up?

That is not the question I had, this is about the photos NOT being restored to the phone from a backup. And if that is the case why is there no warning that ONLY the music will be restored and none of the photos, videos, pdfs, books etc
and more to the point if I have the photos on iphoto how do I migrate them back to the phone

  • If i click erase my iphone on icloud will it erase everything i have on icloud?

  • How can I transfer all my photos on iPhone to iCloud for archive and delete them off my phone?

I do not want to simply backup my phone with iCloud.  My iPhone's memory is full and I would like to transfer all my 10,000+ photos to iCloud for safe keeping, and delete them off my phone.  Could I do that?  I know that iCloud is typically used for backing up the phone and works like a 'mirror' to the phone, but I want to use it more as an archive drive.  Please advise!

The only iCloud feature that meets this requirement is the iCloud Photo Library (Beta). I don't think that I would trust all my photos to a Beta-level product.
You could create a Dropbox Account and move the photos to it or move the photos to your computer.

  • Iphone restore, where are my photos!!!

    Hi all,
I just did a restore from an icloud backup that i did just previous to the restore and ALL my pictures are gone. I specifically went to my Icloud settings before I did it to make sure that my photos would be restored and now there not there..
    Any suggestions.
    Michelle

One problem might be that the photos were no longer in camera roll.  A backup only works with pics in camera roll.  However, there have been countless posts from users who have done the same as you and lost all/some of their photos.  There have been no solutions, no way to get them back.
In the future, treat your iphone as a camera - always sync photos to a computer; don't just leave them on the phone without having them backed up to a computer.  Perhaps you have already done that - if so, check your computer for copies.

  • Broken iphone 4 - Where are my Photos?

My iphone 4 broke yesterday (it was old so I was going to buy a new phone in the next couple of weeks anyway)
The only thing I care about is trying to retrive the photos I have taken in the last week.
I haven't synced it to my computer for a week but they should be stored to icloud? Is that correct? If so how can i find them?
    Thanks in advance.

Ok so it seems i didn't set up this feature. I was under the impression photos were transferred in the same way as other information was to icloud.
Seems overcomlicated to me, i don't see why you wouldn't be able to click an option to backup your phone info to icloud (which i have done) and everything is saved. Rather than photos having to be done seperately.
    But thanks for your help.
