I am not able to use the personal hot spot in the ipad 3 the new one .
It should be in Settings > General > Network > Personal Hotspot - if it's not there then have you checked with your carrier to see if they support it on the iPad (and even if they support it on the iPhone they don't necessarily also support it on the iPad) ? It may also be an extra fee/subscription from them, and you could check if there is a carrier update.

Sorry but that makes no sense in English. Only your mobile phone company (i.e. "carrier") can enable the Personal Hotspot feature. -

Thank you in advance for your help :)Unlimited Internet is different than the carrier supporting the hotspot feature. I don't have an iPhone or an iPad with cellular. My limited knowledge about the hotspot is from reading support articles about it and from what I have read here in the forum.
I don't know that circumstances with the carriers have changed, but initially, the was an extra cost to enable the hotspot feature on the iDevice. I believe that Verizon was charging an additional $20 per month for the feature. Check out the support article that I posted above.

resetpassword wouldn't have done it. If you managed to create a new user, then your data is still in the old account. -

I'm having the same problem with my 4S. I have to constantly reboot my iMac or turn off my phone a few times to get it to sync. Before when I had 5.1.1 everything seemed to work just fine. I'm sure its a bug......
Both my ipads running 5.1.1 have zero issues syncing via wifi or directly plugged in. -

I have been doing some test now and have found out that my mails are being merged according to subject eg, so if I use cleaning goods as a subject and send out a new mail all mails with this subject are sent to the one person

The equipment:
Iphone 4S 16gb VZW with personal hotspot
Ipad 3 32gb wi-fi only
The issue:
I turn on the personal hotspot on the phone, connect to the ipad over wi-fi or bluetooth and surf the web flawlessly. I turn on the VPN on the ipad and cannot access my work network. I check the IP address of the phone prior to the connection of the VPN and it registers a VZW IP that the phone is supposed to broadcast. I turn the VPN in and the ipad reflects the VPN IP address that I'm trying to connect to back to the phone and THAT is what the phone tries to project. My RMS vendor and our network provider have both been identified as not being the culprit. I've spent about 8 hours on the phone with an IOS Senior Advisor and we are both perplexed by this. He has been gracious enough to maintain daily contact with me and he's forwarded it up to those higher than him.
This worked back in April of this year and quit working in May or June. That means it worked on IOS5 and quit working IOS 5.
Anyone else having these issues?This is a user to user help forum only. You are not addressing Apple here.
My iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, and iPad 2 are running 6.1.3 with no such problem and the same with the overwhelming majority of iOS devices running 6.1.3. -

Quicken Essentials 2010 has less features than Quciken 2007. Keeping track of investments is one feature I need and Quicken Essentials does not include that function. I may have to consider others financial software, such as iBank4, Money4, iFinance, and Money Well.

I wonder if somebody can help me. I am not able to use my internet bank anymore, since Java launched their latest update (7.51) a few days ago. Appearently this one is not compatible with my hardware. I am using Mac OSX version 10.6.8, and Java version 17.0, which seems to be the newest one for my op sys. Anybody know how I can solve this? This has nothing to do with the Find my iPhone app being installed on the phone, but you do have to have Find my iPhone activated in the iCloud settings on the phone. -

You've managed to permanently damage the phone. As gdgmacguy suggests, buy a new one. Preferably from a legitimate source.
