HT204053 A long time ago I created a Apple ID for my iPod's and I guess the ID's were not part of an email address. The other day I wanted to backup my apps from iPhone on iCloud, but get the following "Unsupported Apple ID" Can I merge apps?
I have 2 years worth of apps/songs downloaded from iTunes with a user ID that isn't part of a valid email address, how can I merge thats apps/songs with a new valid and iCloud supported ID? I hate to think of starting all over a new purchase history in order to use iCloud system.

You can't merge accounts, but you can update ID's. Start here, change your country if necessary and go to manage your account

Under "Specific Conditions and Alert Messages: (Mac OS X / Windows)" there is the following explanation and guidelines to getting that issue resolved:
"Error 3001," "-42110," or "5103"
This alert is related to iTunes Store movie rentals and authorization issues.
Make sure you are using the most recent version of iTunes and QuickTime. They both can be downloaded free of charge.
If your iTunes is up to date, remove the SC Info folder.

If you want to delete an app forever.
1st delete the app on your iPad and on any other iOS devices.
2nd delete the app from iTunes on your PC. -

hi, i had recently formatted my iphone with no itunes backup. i restored my data with icloud but all the pics didn'y come back. now when i tried to restore again, icloud deleted all my pics from the server too!! is there any way i can get them back??

You choose to not copy them off to a computer as they are designed to be.
If they are no longer showing in iCloud, they are gone. -

i was using my bros account for icloud, he changed & forgot the pass now i want to sign out & put mine but i'm not able to do that and he couldnt recover bcz he did it long time ago and apple support are not sending a recovery email to his email... what shall i do now to sign out?

I'm trying to migrate from mobileMe to iCloud but I have Snow Leopard (the latest version). It looks like Lion is no longer available because Mountain Lion comes out next month (July). The problem is mobileMe ends on June 30th. How can I migrate?
My iphone and my ipad are compatible but when I try to go to icloud on my phone it says to do it on my computer.
I would like to have my calendar, contacts, etc.. all sync like they do now. Is there a way to upgrade before June 30th? If not, will the gap be an issue or will I just be able to buy mountain lion and sync everything?
Any suggestions?
Thank you!You can buy Lion in the App Store now, but move to iCloud now. If you wait to Mountain Lion, you will only have Mail in Snow Leopard, so you will lose syncing unless you use Lion or Mountain Lion. It's up to you

When I did this, my library showed all the music I have "purchased" from itunes but did not have the music that I downloaded a long time ago through itunes from my old CDs. How can I get that music to show up in my library now on my new computer? Also, will itunes still recognize my ipod on my new computer when I plug it in? I have a Dell with Windows 7 and an ipod nano, I think. Why can't I just plug my ipod in and "sync" it? Will that move my CD music into my library on itunes? Thanks for any help! Soooo confusing!!!

I deleted the photos via Finder and empty trash long time ago. The thing is, that I want to recover one event or album. The event appears in the iphoto but when open, it shows "!". Is it possible to recover the photos?
No. When you removed the photos via the finder you damage the library. Photos should always be removed from the library using iPhoto, never with the Finder.
If you have a Time Machine backup of the library from before you deleted the photos you can restore the library to the Desktop and export that album from it to import into your current library.
It's been too long to be able to try one of the file recovery applications. You sure to have overwritten those files with new files since them.

I was trying to sync my latest photos from iphone onto iphoto but pressed "restore" instead of "sync". Now it's erased my latest photos taken on my iphone a week ago and erased music saved in itunes library. Is there a way to find these photos and music via backup?
Thanks so much Meg. Unfortunately, iTunes is the program I use to perform syncing. I don't really have other outside options. It is also the location of the backup I would use to restore my phone, and my only way to reclaim important data. I am concerned that, since the last backup occurred when the "other" bar was only moderately huge (around 29G I think), that a backup would replicate the problem back onto my phone.
My contacts, etc. are all in address book and the calendar app on my Mac. As far as I know, iTunes is the way to get them back, but iTunes is where the problem is.
