An old Apple ID keeps popping up and asking for password; how do I get rid of it?

Here is what I did to fix it on Win 7 64-bit system:
Computer > C: > Program Files
Delete the Oberon Games File
If you have a Program Files (x86), delete it there, too.
Reboot.

I have changed my icloud user Id and password, but the old user ID still pops up and ask for my password. I cannot delete my old icloud account as it keeps asking password of my old user ID. how can I rectify the problem?

    Hey HKKL,
Thanks for the question. I understand you are having issue relating to the iCloud account after changing your Apple ID email address. The following article addresses this issue and potential resolution:
iOS 7: If you're asked for the password to your previous Apple ID when signing out of iCloud
    https://support.apple.com/kb/TS5223
    3. Change your Apple ID temporarily
If signing out and back in to iMessage or FaceTime didn't work, try these steps:
    1. Change your Apple ID to the Apple ID you used previously. You shouldn't need to verify the email address.
    2. Tap Settings > iCloud and try to sign out.
    3. Change your Apple ID to the new email address that you want to use. You'll need to verify the email address.
    4. Tap Settings > iCloud and sign in with the new Apple ID.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

  • My AppStore wont update my apps because my old iTunes account keeps coming up and asks for billing info HELP!!!

My AppStore wont update my apps because my old iTunes account keeps coming up and asks for billing info HELP!!!

Apps are always associated with the Apple ID that was used to purchase them. This cannot be changed. To avoid getting the request you are seeing delete all apps that request the former Apple ID and download them again.
Any apps for which you paid a fee will require that you purchase them again.

  • How can I fix iCal that keeps popping up and asking for my ID

ICal keeps popping up and asking for me to make sure my password and ID are entered correctly. I have been up on my accounts and done this endless times. I have a POP account that I want to add to the list of accounts under ICal's preferences, but I'm stuck when it keeps telling me that it can find my POP server, but the ID doesn't work. I've tried every ID I ever had and it still doesn't work. How can I fix this?

    Greetings,
Thats the issue right there.  POP is for email, not for calendars.  Remove that pop account from the accounts are of iCal.
You would add a POP account to the Mail application to get emails.
    Hope that helps.

    Ok....so I have found a work around....if not a complete solution.
I'm not sure if deleting your music, uninstalling ITunes and reinstalling and adding your music back will actually affect it but I tried it again. Started from scratch.
I checked the box for "Manually manage music and videos"
Then I moved my music to phone via drag and drop, usually just boxing a row of albums at a time.
I went back into my Iphone and began the sync. The message popped up, "1 Item could not be synced" and the sync stopped. At that point, I just clicked sync again and it started back up again. It took a few go's but eventually I got all my music on my phone.
Ironically enough, the only songs that wouldn't sync were songs that I had actually purchased from Itunes....kinda odd

  • "Mobile Me" CONSTANTLY popping up and asking for password

If I get one more "Mobile me can't verify your password, please go into mail settings and check to make sure your username and password are correct" pop up message, I am going to chuck this laptop out into the snow. Please help!
I have MacBook Pro, OS 10.6.8. All my servers keep going offline. I am suddenly getting Mobile Me messages. I thought Mobile Me was switched over ages ago. I have multiple server names--some are imap, some are stmp--mac.com, me. com, mobile me.com, etc. etc. My email won't send and only sometimes receives.
    1. what should the server I use be called? stmp.mac..com? stmp.icloud.com? imap something?
    2. my mail account (when I go into mail preferences) is still "mobile me." Is that correct? Should it be icloud now?
I have looked through these discussions and tutorials but I cannot find/understand the information I need to solve my problem.
I am not tech savvy, so easy step-by-step help is appreciated very much!

My problem and phone is essentially the same (iPhone 4S 6.1.3) and my trouble began after trying to make an "in-app purchase" which did not work. I have tried doing several resets with no luck. Have you found any remedies?

  • My old Apple ID keeps popping up

My old Apple ID keeps popping up, and when I check it through apple login it is not found how do I get rid of it

Did you rename your old Apple ID to your new one (preferred) so the old one doesn't exist anymore?
Apple ID: Changing the email address you use for your Apple ID
or did you create a new Apple ID?
Where does it show up?  If it's when you update Apps and you purchased Apps with the old ID, then yes, those earlier Apps are linked to the old Apple ID (another reason to rename one rather than creating a new one).
Have you signed out of the various Apple Stores from the old ID and signed in again with the new one?
Although you may be able to rename an older Apple ID, you can't delete or merge them, so if you have two or more, it's best to settle on one (especially for purchases) and either not use the others or use them for iCloud etc.
Check out Apple ID Support, which has lots of links and info.

  • Help Please my Keychain Login keeps popping up and refusing my password.

I don't normally have a login password on boot up but I have not used the login for so long I've forgotten my password.
OK so I used the MacBook 13 Install Disk and reset the password to something more memorable.
Then it advised me to synchronize this with the Keychain Password which I knew nothing about.
So I put in the same password in the keychain password box.
Now when I boot up I get a password box and my user name every time (I'd like to switch that off as I don't need a password, I'm the only user and nobody will steal this MacBook)
But even when I login with my new password, the Keychain Password box keeps popping up and asking for the pass. I type in the one I had set and it tells me that's incorrect. So the box pops up again and again.
Next it came up every time I tried to send or receive email and asked me to log the email password into the Keychain list as well so I did place a tick in that box. But still the Keychain keeps coming up.
Can I switch off all the BootUp adminstrator password boxes so it goes the way it used to when I first got it? Also can I kill off the Keychain thing as it has 18 entries in it that maybe can be scrapped. They're all my chat passwords and email server ones in the list.
I tried a Keychain Verify and Repair in the Applications Utilities and it says all is checking out fine yet it still won't accept what I type in the password box for Keychain. I'm only using a 7 letter password.
Can anyone solve this for me if I follow the list of instructions on how to turn all this password thing off? Hope so.
    Thanks
    Plado

See if this MacFixit tutorial helps:
    Tutorial: Keychain issues; resolving
If you can't access your keychain, or forget your password If you can't get into your keychain file because you've forgotten your password or the keychain file appears to be corrupt, there are a couple of options.
First, if you've forgotten your password, you can use the "Keychain First Aid" utility to make the keychain password the same as the login password.
This can be accomplished via the following process:
Open Keychain Access (located in Applications/Utilities
Go to the "Keychain Access" menu and select "Preferences"
    Click the "First Aid" tab
Make sure the "Synchronize login keychain password" box is checked
    Close the Preferences window
Go to the "Keychain Access" menu and select "Keychain First Aid"
    Enter your username and password
    Click the "Repair" button
Another option is to completely delete your keychain then recreate it. This routine is useful if your keychain appears to be corrupt or otherwise inaccessible.
This can be accomplished as follows:
Launch Keychain Access (located in Applications/Utilities)
Click "Show Keychains" in the lower-left corner of the window.
Select the problematic keychain from the left-hand pane.
Navigate to the "File" menu and select "Delete Keychain '(name of keychain)'"
Check all options for deletion and press "OK"
Create a new keychain by going to the "File" menu, then "New" and selecting "New Keychain"
You can now make this keychain your default if you desire by selecting it, then going to the "File" menu and selecting "Make '(name of keychain)' Default"
Login as root and perform repair In some cases, problems with keychains can only be resolved when logged in as the root user.
    First, enable root user.
After enabling the root user, and logging in under this account, again open Keychain Access. First attempt repairs using Keychain First Aid, and failing that, delete then recreate the keychain as described above while logged in as root.
Persistently asked for stored passwords If you are persistently asked for passwords in various applications that you have specified should be remembered in a keychain, your "login" keychain may not be active for one reason or another.
Navigate to ~/Library/Keychains/ (this is the Library folder inside your user home folder). Find the file named "login.keychain" and double-click it.
Failing that, select the "login" keychain within the Keychain Access application and make sure it is the default keychain by going to the "File" menu and selecting "Make 'Login' Default"
Turn off Keychain synchronization in applications having problems If specific applications are experiencing issues when accessing password-protected material, Keychain may be to blame.
For example, it appears that in some cases, failures in .Mac synchronization transfers are linked to issues with Keychain.
If you are having problems synchronizing data with .Mac servers, you may want to try the following process:
Open System Preferences and access the .Mac pane
    Click the "Sync" tab
Uncheck the "Synchronize with .Mac" checkbox
    Close System Preferences
Re-open System Preferences and repeat steps 1 and 2
Re-check the "Synchronize with .Mac" checkbox
If the above process does not re-allow synchronization, you may need to leave Keychain synchronization turned off in the "Sync" tab of the .Mac System Preferences pane.
The above comes from an article published on MacFixit.com.

Apps are permanently tied to the Apple ID used to purchase them. You will have to delete the apps from the phone and re-purchase them using your Apple ID.

  • After I updated my iPhone with IOS 6.1 my old Apple ID keeps popping up on my iPhone for me to type in the password that I no longer know. On the Apple site the Manage my Apple ID says my old Apple ID could not be found. How do I get this to stop?

I just updated my iPhone with the newest update IOS 6.1. My old Apple ID keeps popping up on my iPhone for me to type in the password that I no longer know. All the passwords I type in do not work. I no longer have access to this email which is my old Apple ID. After installing the newest software update my old Apple ID came up to finish configuring. Since I no longer have access to this Apple ID and email account and after trying some passwords I skipped the step. It then said FaceTime, iCloud (which I do not use), and more may not work. I clicked that it was OK since I could not remember the password to my old Apple ID. I then went to my settings to be sure my newer email was my Apple ID by typing in my current Apple ID and password.  Also, I went to Manage my Apple ID online and my old Apple ID could not be found. Is it OK I skipped that step in the IOS 6.1 configuration? How do I get my old Apple ID to stop popping up?

    Blue
It sounds like you restored from an old back-up.  Did you back-up just before your software update?  It will use your last one and if your last back-up was a ywear old then it will use that one.
In general, if you are getting these messages on your iPhones select logout (when you get that Apple Id request) and then log back in with your newer ID.
    Sorry for your losses.
    Cheers

  • So, my girlfriends old apple ID keeps popping up asking for the password. I have changed my apple ID and my Itunes ID and it still pops up. what do I do?I cant download some of my apps because of it

so, my girlfriends old apple ID keeps popping up asking for the password. I have changed my apple ID and my Itunes ID and it still pops up. what do I do?I cant download some of my apps because of it

If you have any apps downloaded with the other AppleID, those apps
will ask for the other AppleID to update.
Downloads are forever tied to the AppleID used to download them.
Delete the apps associated with the unwanted ID and download them
under your ID. You will have to purchase apps that are not free.
You cannot transfer apps from one Apple ID to another, not can you
    merge 2 Apple IDs.
