I have a problem, when I try to log in th ICloud Icon in my computer with my Apple ID it tells me that it is not an ICloud ID how do I make my Apple ID an ICloud ID as well?

There the same account at this point so theres no way to segragate the password.
You could however make an icloud email address that is different then your primary apple ID that you use for messaging and itunes and apps stores but at this point you cant undo the password merge.

There is a problem with iPhone 5.
Seems to be a design or manufacturing fault, phones made circa late 2012/2013. Note - my phone and several other colleagues too.

An Apple ID account cannot be deleted/terminated...you can only stop using it and let if fade away.

Different ID names for Apple and iCloud

I apparently created my iCloud account with a different email address than I did my Apple account. I thought I knew which email address I might have used to create the iCloud account, but I am not being allowed to sign in. I there any resolution to this?

To make maters worse, I found something that may have been what I used as my log in, but now its says my account has been locked for security reasons, and when it asks to verify my personal information, the date of birth I entered isn't being recogninized. What the heck?!

I have my iPad and iPhone set up together with iCloud and I cannot get iTunes to sync my iPad and iPhone. Please help!!!!!

Sorry but don't know what else to suggest. Maybe there's a problem at Apple's end right now that isn't reported on the iCloud status page. You may also need to restore your phone; just not sure. I would try it again in a day or so and if it persists, make an appointment with the Genius bar at a nearby Apple store and have them take a look at it. In the meantime, you could download the music to iTunes on your computer and sync them to your devices.

i have had to change the email addy on my Apple ID and despite having updated the ID in iTunes my iphone & ipad don't recognise the new ID. I have restored the iPad to factory settings but the old ID keeps appearing.
I have contacted Apple support who talked me thru the restore but it hans't changed. My devices keep gpoing back to the old email /ID
can anyone help please?

I have changed my Apple ID as my email address has changed. Deleting icloud account sounds very permanent and dangerous!!!
Does it remove stuff from the phone - surely it wil just delete the stuff in the cloud? And hopefully restore them all to a new account next time I backup?
I'd be grateful if someone could confirm that deleting an icloud account and creating a new one is the correct way to go.

Apple and ICloud

I am trying to help a friend of mine in having her IPad work properly. Before being aware what had to be done, my friend deleted her previous hotmail address, whereby she is unable to confirm any changes made with emails sent to that address. Consequently I have set up a new Apple-id for her, with a new gmail email address. It all works well with ITunes and Apple store, but when it comes to changing the iCloud setting, the systems keeps pupping up with the old hotmail address and request for password, to be able to change the settings. My friend realises that what she previously has purchases at the Apple Store will be lost, but since nothing has been bought sofar, it is not a big issue. The more important issue is that all her contacts has gone (probably still stored in iCloud), but how to get everything set up again, I fail to find out.
Anyone able to help?

I am attempting to sync Notes to iCloud from System Preferences but it is asking for a new (@me.com) email address. Why can't/doesn't Notes use my existing Apple ID email account to sync as do other apps such as Calendar and Contacts? Thanks in advance to anyone who can answer.

If the ID is yours but you don't know the password, you'll have to reset it (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5787). If the ID belongs to a previous ownder of the phone, you'll have to either get the ID and password from them, or have them erase the phone and remove it from their account as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4515.

First sign out of everything,
Second make sure you know the current password
Third got to id.apple.com
Fourth use said password and your hotmail account to sign in then change the primary

It is not possible to create a new iCloud account using a Windows machine. You must create the account using a Mac (10.7.5 or more) or an IOS device (iPhone etc). Once that is done you can sign into and use the account on your Windows machine.

To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then sign back in with the other ID. When you delete the account it will prompt you about what to do with the iCloud data. If you need to migrate it and merge it with the data in the new account choose Keep on My iDevice; then choose Merge to upload the data and merge it with the new account. If your data is already in the other account and you don't need to migrate it to the other account, choose Delete from My iDevice.
