HT204053 Apple ID

I have two apple ID accounts.  How can I sync both to view on my devices? or do I have to log on and log out of each every time?

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Firstly, you need to change your details with Apple,  Start here, change your country if necessary and go to manage your account.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button)
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iTunes account on your iOS device, you need to sign out from your iOS device first, then sign back in using your updated details. (Settings > store, scroll down and tap your ID)

To repeat my question, Apple offered to install iCloud, and I allowed it. Yet when I try to sign in to iCloud using my Apple ID email and pswrd--an ID that I've been using for YEARS--I'm given the message, "This Apple ID is valid but is not an iCloud account." What is going on?
Everywhere I search on Apple's Support site says to sign in to iCloud using your "Apple ID," which I did. I've had my iTunes account for years (even migrated from the old AOL account system). It's the standard email+password that everyone is supposed to use.
My main question is how can I have a valid Apple ID and not an iCloud account--if the two are supposed to be linked?
Thank you for any help you can give me!

I've tried both. First, I tried on my pc, where iTunes had installed iCloud when it last updated. I have iTunes installed on this computer (and on my iPad and iPhone), but that wasn't the issue.
So I went online, thinking I needed a separate iCloud Apple ID, but it prompted me for my current Apple ID and gave me the message about my ID being "valid" but not an iCloud account," which, lol, was what it had asked me to do in order to create one. I checked, and at least one other user is having the same issue. I'll attempt to copy/paste the Support request url: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4430653?tstart=0
Thank you for any help you can give.

  • HT204053 Apple ID and iCloud Account

    Hi there,
I have changed my email address of my Apple ID. As a result I can only use the new email address to sign in App Store. I used this new email address to log in iTunes Store and App Store on my iPhone. But I realise that the email address in iCloud settings on my iPhone is still the old one!
It becomes very confusing to me now, because I can no longer use the old email address as my Apple ID. How come the iCloud on my iPhone is still using the old email address, and it seems it is still working with no problems?
Right now the situation is that I assigned the new email to my App Store settings on my iPhone (see the 1st picture below) but I do not how to do the same for iCloud settings (see the 2nd picture below). What should I do now? Will I lose all the Photo Stream pictures and all iCloud synchornised files on my iPhone?
    Thanks a lot!
    Regards,
    Fei

To change the iCloud ID, go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then sign back in with the new ID.  This deletes the account and your iCloud data from your phone, but not from iCloud.  Provided you are signing back into the same account, your data will reappear on your phone when you sign back in.
To avoid losing photo stream photos over 30 days old, save them to your camera roll before deleting the account (tap Edit, tap all the photos, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll.

  • HT204053 Apple ID on multiple devices

I have made a big step up to a iMac, because i have 2 iPhones, 2iPads and a ipod for my daughter.  I am having issues with the iMac message portion seeing ecery text being sent from every device using my apple ID.
What should I do or how do I allow all my devices to share music and calenders, but leave the other stuff out.  I have created other e-mails to message from my iPads and iPod, but sometimes they get confused and start sending imessages from othe other e-mails i have set-up for the other products.
    what am i doing wrong?

Have everyone use a separate Apple ID for iMessage on their devices.  You can do this and still continue to share the same ID for iTunes and other services.  To change the ID for iMessage, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with a different ID.
If you only want to sync calendars with iCloud, turn the other things off in Settings>iCloud.

  • HT204053 Apple ID conflict on a device

We had to change our apple id because it was older and not an email address. Now one of our devices will not allow us to download from the cloud because it is associated with another id. Well, web could, but we would have that 90 day moratorium on previous purchases & downloads. What should we do?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
iTunes and iCloud are different. If you created a new ID to use with iCloud you don't need to use it for iTunes. Indeed if you had previously made purchases under your old ID from iTunes, you should avoid changing the ID you use.

  • HT204053 Apple ID in An Office

I oversee several machines (Mac Books and Mac Pros) in a small office environment. I want to be able to keep their software (both OS and App specific) up to date as well as from time to time make purchases from the app store. What I don't want to do is create a new Apple ID for each machine in order to buy from the app store, etc. Is there a way around this? I have 6 machines to work with.

To begin with, I would like to try to explain Apple's confusing nomenclature in regard to iCloud.
Apple have called the whole cloud thing iCloud, there are a number of features under the iCloud umbrella, some of which require their own login. iTunes is one of these, another is what Apple have unfortunately also called iCloud too.
You can use the same Apple ID (account) to login to both iCloud and iTunes, but you don't need to and often users will login to each service using a different ID.
The part that you need to remember is that the services available when you log into iCloud are completely different and unrelated to those when you log in to iTunes. Your iCloud login enables mail, contacts, calendars, find my phone, Back to My Mac, Documents & Data sharing and photostream, it does not affect any of your iTunes services.
To avoid confusion when discussing your problem, when I mention iCloud, I am referring to the services under the iCloud login, Whereas I will refer to the whole cloud thing as The Cloud.
Whilst you don't actually say, if you require an iCloud account for each computer so that each user has their own calendars and e-mail etc, you can do this, but also only use one Apple ID for the Mac App Store on all of your computers.
There may be a limit to the number of computers that can use the same ID, but I am not certain what this is.

  • HT204053 Apple ID Issues

When I purchased my iPhone4 I didn't have an Apple ID so I just used my wife's ID. After a few months I decided to make my own. I ended up resetting my phone so I could start from scratch with my own ID. All has been fine however I just tried to update my YouTube App and my wife's old Apple ID (which she doesn't even use anymore and hasn't for several months) pops up and asked for the password to confirm the update my ID will not pop up. But when I go to settings my Apple ID info shows. Also when in the App Store or iTunes if I scroll all the way to the bottom it shows my Apple ID. Why is this happening?

Somehow the YT app on your phone was acquired using your wife's Apple ID, which is encoded into the app and why her ID is requested for the update. Delete the app, go to the App Store app and download the YT app with your Apple ID.

  • HT204053 Apple I'd disabled

Apple I'd is disabled.  How do I fix this?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
When your account becomes disabled, Apple provides the following recommendation:
"This message means that someone tried and failed to sign in to your account multiple times. The Apple ID system disables the account to prevent unauthorized people from gaining access to your information. You need to reset your password, following the instructions at the Apple ID website".
Visit iForgot.com and follow the instructions there.

Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.

If that doesn't help you might try contacting Apple through iTunes Store Support
