When I try to rent a movie on Apple TV it says it needs more information, when I use my son's account the same message pops-up with an option to enter the 3 numbers on the back of the card. But with my iTunes account this option is never available.Ive checked my account details on ITunes and its all up to date and I am able to rent a movie on my iMac Ive reset my Appple TV even reinstalled the software but I still get the message with no option to enter the info Please help

You have to enter your security code into your iTunes account via computer. If you've done that and the message persists, try logging out and back into your account. Beyond that, contact iTunes.

I tried to re-install and got the following message: iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7 (Windows error 1114)
Does this mean I have now lost everything?

I went to http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1925 and did a complete removal and reinstallation of iTunes. You MUST follow the directions here exactly...it's more than just iTunes that must be removed, and it MUST be done in the order in which the support article says. I followed the exact instructions, and iTunes is back on my machine (no more C runtime error) and you do NOT lose your music...it's all in my library, as it was before.

Why won't App Store let me download free apps it asks for billing info?

It asks for my billing info when downloading a free app and there's no way I can sort it out it shouldn't ask for billing info if it's free!!!!!!!!

then card details will need to be entered before you will be able to use the account to download any item from the store (paid-for or free).

Apps are always associated with the Apple ID that was used to purchase them. This cannot be changed. To avoid getting the request you are seeing delete all apps that request the former Apple ID and download them again.
Any apps for which you paid a fee will require that you purchase them again.

In iTunes, click "Store", sign in with your Apple I.D. After singing in, click "Store" again, select "View my Account", re-enter your password and your account info will be displayed.
Click "Edit" in front of "payment information" and select "None"

Sync of new iPad mini, popup on mini says 53 items could not be synced, see iTunes for more info. OK.
Where in iTunes is more info? Which 53 items? I can find no clue. Also iBooks blows up on 2 of my books that open fine on my old iPad 1, maybe they didn't sync?

I see now after the Sync, a !triangle appears next to my mini in iTunes. Clicking on it brings up a list. Sure would be nice to be able to Save that list, since I can't fix anything while that list is showing! And once you close it, the warnings disappear along with the triangle. I ended up using Grab to save the info.
Reset Warnings also makes the triangle go away. Along with all that info.
