There isn't a way to transfer your existing AOL emails to your iCloud email account without opening each one and emailing them to your iCloud email address. However, you can stop accumulating addiional email in your AOL account by going to your email preferences for your account on the AOL website and set up your account to forward all incoming email to your iCloud account. (I assume AOL allows you to set up email forwarding as it is a fairly standard feature with most email providers.)

HT204053 Can you merge multiple Apple Id's into one?
I have two different accounts and one has my music on it. I just bought an Ipad and cannot sync the music from my older Apple ID... I want to keep all my stuff on my new Apple ID. Is it possible to merge the old ID apps and content to the new ID?
No.

I have two apple id's because my hotmail account is no longer active. How can I delete the old one and use or update the new one? Every time I try it won't allow me and now my iPad thinks there are two accounts and they are arguing with each other. Help!
You can't merge accounts or copy content to a different account, so anything that you bought or downloaded via the old account is tied to that account - so any updates that those apps get you will only be able to download via that account. You can change which account is logged in on the iPad via Settings > Store

How can I access my old iTunes account I I don't remember apple ID and password?
mamabobbette wrote:
I'm trying to find out how to access my old i-tunes library if I'm unsure of what my log-in and password were from that time.
Please explain further.
You don't need an AppleID to access an iTunes library. An iTunes library is stored on your computer.
Default location is /Music/iTunes/ folder. -

I am having serious issues trying to alter my old iCloud account with an old non-functioning email to my new apple id with a new email address. The message keeps coming up on all my apple products with my old email (which is not available anymore).
I have the same problem - it is maddening. I rely on this iPad for work so this is not just an annoyance! The above solutions of changing the appleid on the device or on the website do not work.
The old email address no longer exists - I haven't used it in a year probably and I no longer have the account. I logged into the appleid website and there is no trace of the old email address so there is nothing that can be deleted or changed there. On the iPad there is no trace of the old email address so nothing can be deleted there either. I have updated the iPad software and the same problem comes right back. Every 2 seconds I am asked to log in using the old non-existent email. The device is currently useless.
The only recent change to anything was the addition of an Apple TV device, which was set up using the correct login and password.
Does anyone have any ideas? The iPad has been backed up to the iCloud so presumably it now won't recognize the current iCloud account? So restoring may notbe an option? -
I'm trying to create a new ichat Acc because for some reason the old one is not working, so I go to Create an Apple ID and start creating a new apple ID, when I submit the Acc it tells me that my Email address is already verified for another Apple ID and thats the only email address I have... What can I do?
There is no way to consolidate iTunes accounts.
Setting up an iPhone has never required creation of a new Apple ID.
You've apparently purchased content with both Apple ID's. Sign into the device with the correct Apple ID and sync the content. -
Can I change my old IPad 2 wi-fi on the new iPad wi-fi 3 g?
Can I change my old IPad 2 wi-fi on the new iPad wi-fi + 3 g?
Again, Apple does not themselves take trade-ins. They will recycle old iPods in an Apple Store and give you 10% off of the price of a new one, but that does not apply to iPads (and you'd be insane to take only 10% for any working iPad). Here's the program they have in the UK for getting value for iPad, iPhones and computers;
http://www.apple.com/uk/recycling/computer/
but again, you can probably get more for your current iPad by selling it yourself.

If I have a new apple ID and password, do I lose all of my old apps if I sync to my new apple ID?
I'll ask my question differently. I have multiple devices and I sync them to my itunes account. For one of my devices, I gave it to a family member. I changed my itunes password and did not give it to the family member who has one of my devices. Will they be able to update applicable apps not having the new password?
Also, if that family member opens their own itunes account and purchase apps and sync the phone, will they lose all the apps that was purchased from my itunes account? -
hello i forgot my i cloud password..anyone can help me to find my password.i already make a new apple id..but my icloud use another account..so how to reset my iCloud account plz hel me
Making a new Apple ID is not a good idea, since you have to reset the password for that Apple ID anyway. All of your purchases are tied to the Apple ID that the iCloud account was created under. So, you have to retrieve the password for that Apple ID in order to sign into iCloud anyway.
Go to Manage your Apple ID, and click on the Reset Password option (Apple - My Apple ID). Sign on with the Apple ID that the iCloud account was created under, and answer the security questions. If you do not remember the answers to the Security Questions, contact Apple Support to have them reset:

Two days ago I changed my apple id. Itunes recognizes my new apple id when I access itunes via the computer. when I try to make a purchase or update my apps on my iphone, it asks to give the password to the old apple id. How do i change it on my iphone?
Apps and music are forever tied to the Apple ID under which they were purchased. If you don't want to continue to get that message, delete the apps and purchase them again with your new Apple ID.

is this conversion from an AOL username to a new Apple ID legit? Will I lose access to purchases?
Hi Kellyezvous,
Thanks for participating in the Apple Support Communities.
The conversion from AOL Username to Apple ID is legit, and you will not lose access to your iTunes Store purchases as a result of this change.
For more information, see this Apple Support page:
Convert your AOL Username to an Apple ID - Apple Support
You must convert your AOL Username to an Apple ID to maintain access to the stores and to content you purchased previously.
Apple can't provide support for AOL Username accounts that aren't converted by March 31, 2015. The conversion process applies only to AOL Usernames. You don't need to convert an Apple ID that ends in @aol.com. Also, this transition doesn't affect any AOL services that you use with your AOL Username.
Cheers,

I just downloaded a new software update on my I-phone5. As part of the process I was asked to sign in to iCloud and enter the password for an ID that I've long ago deleted with Apple. Anyone know why my new apple ID isn't coming up?
No. The problem is that when you changed Apple IDs you did not update your Apple ID to reflect the change, so your phone is still associated with the old ID. You will need to un-associate it. The process is the same as what you would do if you sold the phone. See: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5661

If I change the apple id and password to a new apple id will it erase my phone?
if I change the apple id and password to a new apple id will it erase my phone?
A friend of mine has a phone that is set up on someone else's apple id. We want to change it to his new apple id and keep all the info on the phone. and back up to icloud.
I am thinking if I just change the apple id account it will back up the phone on the new account?
Am afraid that it may erase everything? No, but why are you changing your Apple ID? Any apps and other content that you have purchased are forever tied to that Apple ID and you will have to purchase them all again.
To erase the phone for use with another Apple ID, follow these instructions: What to do before selling or giving away your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support -
