Can I set up my icloud account remotley or do I have to have my ipad?

Settings>icloud, scroll to bottom of screen and tap Delete Account.  You *should* then be able to enter another ID/password.  Is this exactly where you had your problem?

You can add more than one account to your iPad, but you can only have one primary account. Secondary accounts which you can add at settings> mail, contacts, calendars do not have all the features of a primary account such as photo stream.

  • Can I set up an iCloud account without owning a Mac, iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad?

I would like to know if I can set up an iCloud account without owning a Mac, iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad.  I own a laptop that runs Windows 7 and I would like to be able to access my past purchases for all the computers in my family.

There is no way to setup iCloud on a PC, it must be setup first on a compatible Mac, iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.

    Hey Harlowmaginty,
Thanks for the question. The following article outlines the various options for creating a free @icloud.com account:

You can sign up for iCloud on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 5 or later, or through System Preferences on a Mac with OS X Lion v10.7.4 or later. Just follow the setup instructions for your iOS device or Mac.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

iCloud requires OS X 10.7.2 or later, and the latest Mac OS X version a PowerPC Mac can run is 10.5.8, so you can't use all iCloud features. However, if you have already an iCloud account, you can use some of iCloud services like mail in your computer > http://www.wilmut.webspace.virginmedia.com/notes/icloudSL.html (This article applies to Snow Leopard, so it might not work correctly in your computer)

  • How can I access my parents iCloud account remotely to assist with photo management and printing?

How can I access my parents iCloud account remotely to assist with photo management and printing?

I tried that without any luck. I was hoping I could get Apple to reset it for me or delete the account so I could recreate it or at least tell me what is listed as my birth date, the security question answer.

  • How can I set up two iCloud accounts

I want to set up two different iCloud accounts for my wife and I. We both use the same account for buying apps but we want different iCloud accounts. How do I do that? Can I do that?  Thanks for the help!

You can set up separate iCloud accounts for each of you and sign into your account on both your iPhone and iPad.
To change the account on her phone, go to Settings>iCloud and tap Delete Account, choose Keep on My iPhone when prompted.  (This only deletes the account from her phone; not from iCloud.)  Then sign in with a different ID to create her new account (and use this ID for iMessage and FaceTime too).  After setting up the account on her phone, she can then sign in with the same ID on her iPad to sync iCloud data between her devices.
You can then sign into you iCloud account using your ID on your devices, and both of you can continue to share the same ID in Settings>iTunes & App Stores.

  • Can I set up multiple iCloud accounts

Would like to set up more than one iCloud account, each with own calendars and contacts and be able to access readily from all my devises. I realized can create separate calendars & contact groups within an account but I want complete separation.

I believe if you go to Mail, Contacts, Calendars you can set up another iCloud account, but I believe you can only sync data between one account at a time.
You can set up two iCloud accounts separately for iCloud mail and syncing and another for iTunes Purchases, and Apple has an article out for this: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4895

  • TS4006 can you set up an icloud account on a phone remotely

My daughter has lost her phone and I just found out that she never set up an icloud account.  So I cannot use the "find my iphone" app.  Is there anyway to set-up the icloud account for her phone with out having her phone?

Unfortunately, no.  It can only be enabled on the device itself, not remotely.

  • HT4759 Can you set up an icloud account without having your apple device in your hand?

I need to set up my iCloud so I can track my phone but I don't have it! Is there a way to set up my iCloud without my phone?

If you mean you actually need to enable the "find my iPhone" setting under your iCloud Account's settings on your iPhone, then no, of course not.  You needed to have enabled that setting before it went missing in order to be able to remotely connect/communicate with it in the first place.
In order to remotely track an iOS device, that device needs to have an active iCloud account already on it, and the "find" setting already turned on - all before it is no longer in your hands.

  • Can i set up my icloud account from my pc ?

My iPod touch was stolen and I want to use "Find My iPod" I just spent the last 20 mins on the phone with Apple's customer service and they said there's nothing they can do to track my iPod because it's a "Privacy Issue" And they said that I never set up my iCloud account. I want to know if there's any way that I can set up my iCloud account from my PC so I can track my iPod.

You cannot create an iCloud account from a Windows PC.

  • HT204053 can I change my primary icloud account.

It appears that all my devices has accepted my primary email account except my Mac which for some reason has accepted a secondary mobile me address that I used for my parents.  How can I change my primary icloud account back to my primary email address?

System Preferences > iCloud > Sign Out
then sign in with the right iCloud account.

  • Can i set up my icloud account on a different device

I ost my iPod and did not set up an iCoud account on it . I was wondering if I can set it up on a different device and then have it found ?

If you mean you did not have your iPod associated with your iCloud Apple ID then there is no way to locate it using the iCloud "find my device" feature. The device must be associated with iCloud before you lose it.
