I don't know how my alternate id was taken over by my sister but now her @me.com is my alternate id. How do I change my alternate apple id? Is there someone I can call?

That might be it. If I create a new iCloud account, could I transfer all of my purchases/etc. over? I have no idea how I have been using her account for so long but she doesn't use it and can't recall how she got on my account. She must have set it up for me or something. Can someone at apple change the account so I am full owner and I don't lose my stuff? I think she logged into her iCloud account from my iPhone before I had set it up on my phone. I have no other explanation. I have changed the primary I'd and password but her @icloud.com and @me.com are still on my phone/account and I don't know how to get rid of them. I want my own @icloud.com address. Please help!

Are you talking about the email address that gets setup when you click off mail in the iCloud preferences? If so, that can't be changed.

I was reviewing my Apple ID and Security Questions when I noticed that in addition to my "primary Apple ID" that I use, there is an "Alternate Apple ID" listed. It says on the Apple Security page that the Alternate ID can access all of the data that my Primary Apple ID can. There is no option to delete or change it. Does any know how to get the Alternate ID of my account?

OK, wow - I was not aware of this Alternate Apple ID, but did some reasearch on your question, and saw some masked screen prints with an Alternate ID on it....apparently this is relatively new....I've never seen it before, so thanks for teaching me something new!
So, from the reasearch I did it indicates that the alternate ID should be an @me.com (or maybe @icloud.com?) ID? If so, you cannot delete it. Here's an exerpt from an earlier post from jerome.Serpenti:
"When you create an AppleID with an existing mail address (let's say [email protected]) you have the option to, next to this, create an iCloud mail address (or, in the past a me.com mail address/mac.com mail address). You do this by going to iCloud on one of your devices and activating the mail tab. This will allow you to create such a mail address and this mail address is then linked to your account as both an active, working mail address and an AppleID alias that you can use to login to all of Apple's services.
This mail address, however, has to be new - it can't be existing"
So your Alternate ID was created when you set up your new Apple ID. Does that correspond with what you are seeing?
This makes sense to me because I have both an @me.com and an @icloud.com address. The @icloud.com address was automatically created for me, and exisits as a separate AppleID. I can sign into the Manage My Apple ID screen with it. It duplicates all of the information on my primary AppleID exactly. (it doesn't show up on my Primary screen as an Alternate ID because when I set up iCloud, I was using an existing AppleID - my @me.com one).
Does this info help with your question? Sorry - just learning this now myself, so only sharing what I was able to dig up.... All very interesting, though!

Family Sharing - Your Family Is Managed By Alternate Apple ID

I asked this in the iCloud Forum, but, now I think my problem needs to be discussed here based on on what I have discovered......
I just got a new iPhone 6 Plus. I set it up as new rather than restore from backup of my old iPhone. I signed into my own iCloud account for iTunes/Apps, Family Sharing and etc. I am a parent/guardian and NOT the organizer.
The issue is when I go to the App Store>Purchased on the 6 Plus, I notice the following message:
"This iTunes account is setup to use Family Sharing with a different iCloud account than 'Organizer's Primary Apple ID'. Learn More"
I do see my other family members and their purchases. I am also able to download their purchases as well. So Family Sharing on the App Store appears to be functioning properly with the exception of the message. iTunes and iBooks do not show the message.
My old iPhone and my iPad also do not display this message when I go to the App Store.
This is what I have noticed on my iPhone when I go to Settings > iTunes & App Store > Apple ID: My ID > View Apple ID > Family Sharing
"You are part of a Family. The payment method for your Family is managed by 'Organizer's ALTERNATE Apple ID'......."
The organizer has only signed into iTunes, iCloud and set up Family Sharing using the Primary Apple ID, so I do not understand why the Alternate Apple ID appears to be used in the background to manage our Family. I think this is what is causing the above error message.
Any ideas deals on how to fix?

I tried to change my Apple ID from AOL acct(no longer open)to a yahoo acct.At the time of setup,I put my yahoo acct as the"alternate Apple ID".Now I want yahoo as my primary & it won't let me,my yahoo(.me)is already in use as my alternate Apple ID!!

For years, my primary account with apple has been used with my AOL account. s Luckily I just discovered this in iCloud, that's its retaining all the old email, and documents relating to my old AOL account, because this is NOT what I want being saved up in the Cloud. It's very important that I switch it to my yahoo account, which it looked like it would be a simple process. I hit edit and that's when it became a challenge - it only allowed to me change primary ID and my alternate ID could not match. So I looked down the page and saw there was a very similar looking email already in the alternate Apple ID list. It was my yahoo address but it ended in " .me" I have tried looking all over the net and I can't figure out how to do what I want....which is simply swap my current Apple ID with Alternate Apple ID but there are ZERO instructions (at least that I can find) on how to do this - at least how to edit my alternative Apple ID. If I could find that out, I'd figure out the rest from there. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks in advance....

Where are you trying to log in? You should be able to change your ID at http://appleid.apple.com - can you log in there?
Before you change your ID you should log out of the iTunes Store and on any devices which are logged into iCloud. Then once you've changed it you can log back in with the new ID. (Your iCloud synced data will disappear from the device when you do this but will reappear when you sign back in - give it time).
If you are unable to sign into http://appleid.apple.com you will need to contact Support. Go to http://iforgot.apple.com and sign in with your iCloud login. A new password will be sent to your associated email address. If this doesn't work you will have to contact Support. Go to https://getsupport.apple.com . Click' See all products and services', then 'More Products and Services, then 'Apple ID', then 'Other Apple ID Topics' then 'Lost or forgotten Apple ID password'. How do I delete an alternate Apple ID?

I logged into the Manage my Apple ID page on the Apple site and I see several email addresses associated with my Apple ID. I also see an "alternate apple ID" and while I am able to delete or edit the email addresses, I am not able to edit or delete the alternate Apple ID. How can I do this?

You are probably right, (Csound1) I'm over thinking.
But so far seems Imp68, is right, you cannot change it.
I have a University degree in COmputer science, and sometime I make it too complex, being a PC guy new to Mac world.
So how do you disconnect the I-Cloud account? I tried to create a new one, but seems I would also have to create a new Apple ID as well.
Is there something doable to transfer the i-tune purchases and I-cloud space paid fees for the year?

Your apps were purchased under the old ID, so they will have to be deleted and re-purchased/downloaded under your new one.

Go to icloud.com, sign in. Click on mail >> gear in upper right >> preferences >> composing. You can uncheck the @me.com address there so you no longer see it in the "from" field. This change will also be reflected on your mac in the mail.app.
It will be, of course, still a valid email address that can be received at. But you won't accidentally send from it causing people to reply to it.

I have had an issue with synchronization (photos, calender, notices etc.) between my different devices (Mac, ATV, iPhone, iPad) for a few months.
Today I realized the origin of my issue - at least I think so that this is the origin.
I always use my primary Apple-ID to log into my account at "icloud.com". Inside my account I clicked on my name because I was looking for the issue. And there I saw that it is written my ALTERNATE Apple-ID. I guess it can´t be possible to synchronize my devices because I am using my primary Apple-ID for them but "icloud.com" is using my alternate Apple-ID.
Please don´t mix it up with alternate e-mailaddresses! I do talk about the alternate Apple-ID.
So, I wanted to change it and logged into "appleid.apple.com". But there is no possibility to do anything at the alternate Apple-ID, neither to edit/change nor to delete it.
Do anyone have an solution for my issue? I am quite sure if I would be able to change my Apple-ID inside icloud.com I had not any issues to synchronize my devices.
I hope you guys got my technical issue - it is quite difficult to describe it in a foreign language.

Leider wirst du diesbezüglich nicht fündig werden, da es bis dato noch immer keine Möglichkeit gibt, die Alternative Apple ID (mit @me.com und/oder @icloud.com Endung) zu einer primären Apple ID zu ändern. Apple lässt dies einfach nicht zu. Personen, bei denen die @me.com und/oder @icloud.com Adresse der primären Apple ID gleicht, haben diese komplett neu angelegt und nicht mit bei der Erstellung des iCloud-Accounts mit einer bestehenden Apple ID verknüpft.
Da dieser Mix von besthender Apple ID (iTunes Acount) mit neuem iCloud Account (@me.com und/oder @icloud.com) gängige Praxis ist, dürfte dies eigentlich keinerlei Auswirkungen auf die Synchronisation deiner Kalender etc. haben. Hast du auch bereits probiert, dich auf allen deinen Geräten auszuloggen und dann mal ausschließlich nur mit der alternativen Apple ID (also der @me.com oder icloud.com Addresse) anzumelden?
Hinweis zur primären Apple Adresse (nicht ID):
Solltest du deine primäre E-Mail-Adresse ändern wollen so habe ich vor einer Weile einen Weg gefunden, mit dem die sekundäre E-Mail-Adresse (@me.com oder @icloud.com) bzw. E-Mail-Adresse in eine primäre umwandelt werden kann. Leider ist es aber nur eine 99% Lösung, wie du sehen wirst, vielleicht löst es aber dein Problem (da zumindest das primäre/sekundäre E-Mail-Problem (leider nicht Apple ID) halbwegs gelöst wird). Ich denke jedenfalls, dass es ein Versuch wert sein sollte.
1. Rufe zunächst die offizielle Apple Webiste auf: www.apple.com/de
2. Öffne dort die Seite des Apple Stores
3. Klicke dort nun auf "Account" (rechts oben unterhalb der Navigation)
4. Wähle "Account anzeigen"
5. Wähle nun "Apple ID und Kennwort bearbeiten"
6. Log dich ein
7. Nun kannst du bei Zahlungsinformationen ebenfalls deine sekundäre Apple ID eingeben(, wodurch deine sekundäre Apple ID zukünftig auch zum Versand von Apple Store Rechnungen an dich verwendet wird).
8. Speichern nicht vergessen.
9.Wenn du dich nun wieder auf der Apple ID Website anmeldest (https://appleid.apple.com/de/), wirst du feststellen, dass deine sekundäre E-Mail-Adresse nun auch deine primäre Adresse geworden ist, allerdings nun auch ein gelbes Fenster auf eine Änderung der Adresse hinweist (deshalb 99% Lösung)

What you are seeing is the Activation Lock. You have to delete the iCloud account, and to do so, you have to provide the password that goes with the iCloud account that is signed on. Once you have deleted the account, you will be able to sign into iCloud with your Apple ID.
For iMessages, go to Settings>Messages>Send and Receive, click on the Apple ID, and sign out.

If you were a migratee from MobileMe then you would have an @me.com and an @icloud.com address with the same text before the '@' - they are effectively the same address and you can't change either.
However you can add up to three 'email aliases' - these are additional addresses (not accounts) which deliver into the same inbox as the main account. (In fact it's a good idea to give out alias addresses, rather than the main address, because if they attract spam you can easily change them.) (New aliases can only be @icloud.com ones; @me.com addresses cannot now be created.)
You should be aware before you start that once you've created an alias you cannot turn that address into a full iCloud account or move it to another account.
