Apple will not permit transfer of applications from one account to another. Suppose your mom has presented an iPad to you and before presenting she has downloaded some Apps with her account. If you want to update those Apps, you must know her pass word or send the iPad to her and request her to update and give back. If you feel it is time consuming and difficult, the best way is purchase new iPad and down load the latest version of App. Whenever you come across you go on purchasing new iPad. This will help you to have latest version of iPad with you.

Just get copies of the song files and add them to your iTunes library. With the exception of any DRM-protected files (purchased before mid-2009 and never upgraded) they will play fine, even though they are technically associated with the original account.

Hi all,
We just got a second iPad. Previously our single iPad was registered under my Apple ID. My wife downloaded lots of apps for the kids on our old iPad. Now I want to associate the old iPad with my wife's Apple ID, but be able to keep all the kids apps on it that were previously purchased under my apple ID. I don't really want any of the kids apps on the new iPad - especially since I will usually have it with me at work. Is there any way to do this?

You can't associate purchased apps with another Apple ID. The apps are tied to the ID that was used to purchase them.
If you sign in on the iPad with the ID that purchased the apps - then you can download them again using the ID that is associated with those purchases.

I've just bought MBP installed without tranfering accounts. My apps won't update asking the MacItune to update and I'd love to recycle my G4 ! anybodi has an idea?

you can go into the App store on the device, tap on "updates" and then "purchases" download the apps you want.

You can't, an account's balance cannot be transferred to another account, nor can it be used to gift content to another account - it can only be used to buy content for the account that it's on.
For your security questions, if you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) on your account then you can use that to reset them : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT6170
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer your questions) then you will have to contact Support in your country to get the questions reset.

What you would do is on computer authorize other account for that computer. So you computer is authorized to play both accounts. Then you can sync apps from both accounts to your phone using the same computer as before.
My wife and I both have our own accounts and each of our instances of iTunes have authorized each others accounts for that computer. So I can sync her apps and she can sync mine. Just becomes a pain when you update an app via the cell phone when updates come out as trying to do all at once usually fails if the apps for updating are for each account. So have to do one at a time or just have them update via iTunes and sync.

You can't, all content is tied to the account that purchased / downloaded it and it can't be copied or transferred to a different account.

Understand frustration but one of the "requirements" of the iPhone is listed that an iTunes Store Account is required. Remember every app, song, movie, etc they sell is for some person/company and thus they need to protect their copyrighted material. Thus Apple has to help ensure that.

Either ask the iTunes Store staff to put the entire balance back onto the card, or your father to pay you an amount equal to the credit he won't need.
