Hi.I am having difficulty setting up my icloud account on my iphone4. It's telling me Account not verified and to check my email at my apple account.The screen is greyed out and i cannot switch on any of the apps.Also icloud backup is off. Is it safe to delete this account? will it erase everything on my phone??

Make sure you are checking the email address you used to set up your iCloud account. Check the spam/junk folder as well as the inbox. If it isn't there, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage your Apple ID, sign in, click on Name, ID and Email addresses on the left, then to the right click Resend under your Primary Email Address to resend the verification email.

"There should be a RoboForm icon to the far right near the home & faves button on Firefox (NOT the RoboForm menu - this is a different icon). If you click on that you'll be prompted for your online username and password, and then the toolbar will be enabled."

Have you tried your spam folder? it could have gone there by default. also, are you sure you put the correct email in for iCloud?

My apologies. Your post jogged my little grey cells to the point that I did a few experiments. In essence, you are right. My plug-ins do not work with 8-bit greyscale images. I like to deliberately shoot B&W and have a Wratten #12 minus-blue filter on the lens--as I used to do with film cameras.
The raw files ( Fujifilm's .RAF) were converted in Adobe CR by checking off "Convert to Grayscale" under the fourth tab. In the future, I will do the B&W conversion in Photoshop with either Nik or Topaz plug-ins.

If you see the white WiFi bars in the upper left corner, that simply means that the iPad has detected a WiFi network, and that does not mean that you are connected to the Internet.

Try deleting the account and set up a new one. Also make sure to not sync the phone with old email settings.

Ok, I solved this problem! I ejected the drive and then disconnected it both from the power supply and the USB connector. I then reconnected everything and powered it up again and Then went into TM preferences and chose the drive as the backup. TM did a new backup (well over an hour) and now works as advertised.

Each iOS device can have a maximum of three iCloud accounts. After that you can only re-use one of the accounts you already set up. If you have another iOS device you could create a new account on that if you haven't used all three, then use it on your iPod Touch. Otherwise you'll have to remember the ID you used for one of the accounts already set up and sign in with that again.

I told the genius bar what happened, and I already did the so called "steps" that apple reccommended on the site, which was reset network settings, restore iPhone. The genius bar gave me a replacement phone, so I was expecting that the problem would be over, but it isn't. It seems that it's iOS 6.1.3 which is the case of most public complaints on apple iPhone products. Not even 3 weeks after I got the phone replaced, it is doing it again, so I suspect I'm just going to get a replacement again? Unfortunately I only have until 5th of july 2013 until my 1 year warranty is up. After that, any issue I have, I have to purchase apple care. People are expecting this problem to be fixed but I don't see it being solved any time soon. This is horrible and really low, because I have been a good customer, when I talk to the people at the genius bar, I show the utmost respect I can to them for the work they put into their job, but somewhere there is a problem where something has gone wrong. No, you will not loose anything. However, if you ever need to update any of that previously purchased content, or re-download it, you will have to use the older AppleID. Purchases are permanently tied to the AppleID you use when making the purchase.

I would try it on a PC and see if you can format it, then put it back on the Mac and try again. If it's not seen on a PC, then there's the strong likelihood that there's a hardware issue; either the bridge/chip set or the HD itself is dying/dead. There's also the small possibility that the cable is faulty, so I'd try a different cable too.

Try this fix discovered by User photosb189:
From Finder, hold down the option key on your keyboard and click on the Go menu at the top of the screen
Select Library from the drop down menu
Then navigate to Application Support > iLifeAssetManagement > assets
Right click on the 'sub' folder and choose Compress
Drag the resulting zip file to your Desktop (as a backup)
Go to your System Preferences and choose iCloud
Turn OFF the iCloud Photos option
Go back to Library > Application Support and DELETE the iLifeAssetManagement folder
Now, in System Preferences, turn the iCloud Photos option ON
iPhoto should now be able to launch. Give it enough time to re-download your Photo Stream content. if you are missing any of your My Photo Stream photos (more than 30 days old), unzip the sub folder on your desktop and drag that into iPhoto.

Trying to restore ipod from one that died. But restore from backup is greyed out in the itunes menu.

I have latest version of itunes on Mavericks, a brand new ipod nano, and I am trying to restore my old dead ipod from its last backup onto the new ipod. The previous (dead) ipod was inherited from my daughter and is called "Kim's ipod" and I didn't get the option to initialise with the same name when I first connected it to itunes. I suspect that might be the problem.

This strikes me as a situation that shouldn't be too uncommon - I'm wondering what I am missing.

Hmm. I came to realise iTune Match had downgraded 38 of my tracks, which I'd ripped from my own CDs long ago, with 256kbps versions. I do have backup for the tracks, so I'd like to delete these 38 tracks (I've made a Smart playlist of them), deleting them from iCloud too; then with Match turned off, recover my originals (Add to Library) from an old Mac.
Can't do it! As Richard Tench said at the top, from 27 July 2011, Edit > Delete is permanently grayed out if you have opted for iT Match. And for me on iTunes 10.6.3 (Lion 10.7.4), that's not all: Edit > Cut and Cmd-x both just produce the Bonk sound. My Macbook keyboard has no Del key either.
But all the above are only true with Match active. Store > Turn Off iTunes Match will ungrey Edit > Delete (& fn-bksp etc I imagine). So I would then be able to delete the tracks locally. But of course, if you turn off iT Match you can delete all you like locally, but they will still exist in iCloud, and if I turn on iT Match again, the lower-grade 256kbps ones will come down from the clouds to replace my CD-ripped ones again! Won't they?
Is that right? Is there any way to exclude these 38 tracks (out of ~6500) from iTunes Match so I can keep my better quality CD-ripped ones? (Other than using Alt-Launch & creating a separate iTunes fileset for the 38 tracks - as you might have guessed, some of them fall right in the middle of albums.) Help!

This suggests you don't have the right operating system. OS X 10.7.2 or better is required for iCloud, which operating system do you have.
