I downloaded the iCloud update on my phone and then received an email asking me to verify. I was not aware that I would get an email so I felt suspicious of it and didn't complete it. I now realise I should have. I tried to verify but it came up saying it had expired. I asked for a new email to be sent. It came up saying it had been sent but it has not arrived. I've tried three times but nothing .... Not sure how to verify my account or get it back now ..... ? Any thoughts? (please!)

Start here, change your country if necessary and go to manage your account.

Try DFU Mode Restore. Open iTunes on computer. Connect iPhone to computer with USB cable. Hold both Home and Power button, after exactly 10 seconds release the Power Button, keep holding the Home button until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode, usually about 20 seconds time. If the iPhone screen is black, blank this is DFU Mode. Click the Restore button of iTunes.

Airtunes? I assume you mean iTunes match? The little cloud symbols?
If so, you need to make sure it is turned on in your phone and in your computer.

2 apple IDs / Cannot verify my icloud account or My apple ID

I have two apple IDs with two different email addresses. *****@yahoo.com and ************@gmail.com
I can sign into my Apple ID associated with the Yahoo address but not the gmail address. It will send a password reset but It will not send a verification email to this address.

Every time I try to sign into icloud on my macbook I get an error message that my icloud account has not been verified and that an email has been sent to my gmail account to verify it. I never get this email. No matter how many times I resend it. This is linked to my Gmail account which I cannot verify.
It is not in junk in my gmail account
it is not being sent to my yahoo account.

So my question is How do I verify my icloud and Apple ID account if I cannot receive a verification email?

So For everyone that is having the issue of iCloud asking for an old email there is a very simple fix, as long as its a simple switch from one email to another on one apple ID account.
1. Sign into appleid.apple.com with your current ID.
2. Edit the primary email to the one requested. (You DO NOT need to verify the old email.)
3. Sign out of iCloud on any device using the old ID.
4. Edit the primary email (on appleid.apple.com) back to the desired email address.
5. Verify that email address.
6. Sign into iCloud with the correct email.
As for anyone that is unable to verify their account due to not receiving the verification email, contact apple support for further assistance.

Do not receive email from Apple when trying to reset iCloud password

Hello. I have an iphone set up an old iCloud account. I can't remember password. I then tried the iforgot procedure. But I do not receive any email from Apple after completing the procedure. I can't either use the "answer the questions" method, since I have not used mu actual birthdate !! (yes I know, stupid). Is there any way to contact anyone at Apple to help ?

You need to give Apple Support a call - only they will be able to help you. See this webpage on how to contact Apple Support in your country: There are either telephone numbers given or an email form:

Since approx 7am GMT I've been getting "Error in sieve filter" message with each incoming mail, worse though, since about 12 noon I cannot recieve or send mail to or from my iCloud account apart from I've been getting emails from Apple (ie I've just received a welcome one from Apple Support Communities...)!! I've had this account for years, never had a problem - it can't be the OSX Mail server because the problem is the same when I log directly into iCloud. I've tried sending emails from my Hotmail account to my iCloud account (a .mac) and just get undeliverable messages back. I'm really in the s**t now at work. : ( I just set up a Smart TV yesterday with a wireless dongle - that's the only thing I've done out of the ordinary. I've spoken to Sky who are my ISP and they say all's fine with them (although the router kept kicking my off the internet this morning which was strange...). Router seems fine now though. I'm really hoping someone here can help!!

Depends on the type of Message.
SMS messages will send and receive with data off. and while you can guarantee you send using SMS you cannot guarantee that whoever replies to you does also. They may be replying thorugh iMessage if they are using iPhones.
However Android should be sending through SMS.
You can turn off iMessage if you want to, though people with limtied SMS text messaging in their plans may not appreciate it, and stop messaging you.

If you didn't create an iCloud account on an iOS device or Mac, you don't have one. You can't create an account on a PC. If you were charged for an iCloud storage upgrade without having an account, contact the Apple online store at the bottom of this page for a refund.

I have received valid emails from Apple in the past asking letting me know a purchase had been made and asking if I had made the purchase, but the item listed has alway been a purchase that I had made. Since I had received similar emails in the past, I didn't think anything of it. Because I had not purchased the item listed, I immediately clicked on the link in order to change my password, which has been suggested in authentic emails i had received from Apple in the past. The site I was redirected to was exactly the same as the Apple site where you go to change your password. I entered my userID and password and it stated a verification email would be sent, if it was not sent click "resend email." When I did not receive an email, after about 10 seconds I went to the Apple site and followed the SAME EXACT step on pages that were IDENTICAL to the FRAUDULENT website I apparently had just been at. When I clicked "Send verification email," I DID receive an email within seconds, which had a special link that brought me to a page where I could change my password, which I did. I later compared a legitimate email to the FRAUDULENT email and I DID FIND A DIFFERENCE, BUT IT WAS ALMOST UNNOTICEABLE unless you were really, really looking. I doubt it would be noticed by anyone if not comparing it closely to a real email. Just today I received an email from Apple stating my password had been changed today. I did not change my password today. When I changed after getting the fake email, I did not think about my SECURITY QUESTIONS!!! If you forget your Apple password, you are able to answer the security questions in place of your ID and you get a confirmation email. Even though I changed my password within a one minute when I did not get a confirmation email with a link to change my password right away and I went dierctly to Apple's site, apparently it was enough time to take all the information on my account - INCLUDING MY DEBIT CARD NUMBER, WHICH HAD BEEN REQUIRED WHEN I INITIALLY SET UP THE ACCOUNT!!! Today I received a call from VISA FRAUD PROTECTION asking about strange activity on my account and stating they were concerned and wanted to ensure I had used the account. I HAD NOT, AND ALL THE MONEY IN MY BANK ACCOUNT HAD BEEN STOLEN!!!!! I am writing this in hopes that many people will see it and NOT FALL VICTIM TO THIS SCAM. No need for alarm. There are several folks a day posting like threads. Most folks know these phishing attempts for what they are and merely delete with prejudice.
To the bottom line... if you wish - and I am sure Apple will take notice - you should FORWARD the email to [email protected] and delete.
