HT204053 i have a different apple ID to my icloud is there a way i can chage it to one apple ID for everything

I have 2 apple IDs i would liike to use 1 for all how can i change this?

I'm assuming you use one ID for the itunes store and another for the iCloud account - that's perfectly fine. However, if you want to use just one, be sure the itunes ID stays the same, otherwise you'll lose all the music, apps and other material you bought (things bought on the itunes store are forever associated with the ID that was used to buy them). Thus you can set up a new iCloud account using the itunes store ID, but you'll lose data stored in the existing icloud account.

• HT204053 I have a different Apple ID for store purchases and ICloud. Unfortunately my ICloud ID is set to an email I no longer use. I want to change my ICloud ID to match my Store ID but I cannot seem to find the way to do that. How can I update my ICloud

I am trying to update my Apple ID for my ICloud Account. For some reason, when my IPad updated the OS it put on an old email address and Apple ID to my ICloud account and now I can no longer participate in the ICloud because I cannot remember my password and have no way of retreiving it because my old email account is closed.
Very frustrating! How can I fix this?

If you know the answers to your security questions, you should be able to change your password without using email authentication (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HE36). If you don't, you may be out of luck.

it has worked fine no problems till i updated it i tried restoring itwith my old backup but it doesnt move the ios back so it just keeps on craching when i try to unlock it

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: How to back up
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

If you don't have it then you will have to reinstall Lion:
Reinstall Lion, Mountain Lion, Mavericks or Yosemite without erasing drive
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported then click on the Repair Permissions button. When the process is completed, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion, Mountain Lion, Mavericks, or Yosemite
OS X Yosemite- Reinstall OS X
OS X Mavericks- Reinstall OS X
OS X Mountain Lion- Reinstall OS X
OS X Lion- Reinstall Mac OS X
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet
if possible because it isthree times faster than wireless.
Then you can download and install Yosemite if your computer meets the system requirements:
Upgrading to Yosemite
You can upgrade to Yosemite from Lion or directly from Snow Leopard. Yosemite can be downloaded from the Mac App Store for FREE.
Upgrading to Yosemite
To upgrade to Yosemite you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 or Lion installed. Download Yosemite from the App Store. Sign in using your Apple ID. Yosemite is free. The file is quite large, over 5 GBs, so allow some time to download. It would be preferable to use Ethernet because it is nearly four times faster than wireless.
OS X Mavericks/Yosemite - System Requirements
Macs that can be upgraded to OS X Yosemite
1. iMac (Mid 2007 or newer) - Model Identifier 7,1 or later
2. MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer) - Model Identifier 5,1 or later
3. MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
4. MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer) - Model Identifier 2,1 or later
5. Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
6. Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
7. Xserve (Early 2009) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
To find the model identifier open System Profiler in the Utilities folder. It's displayed in the panel on the right.

I have been "forced" to join Qwest email. Is there a way I can get back to used Mail? If not, how can I import my Address Book to Qwest email?

It sounds like you use Quest as your ISP, or whoever you have as your ISP is being taken over by Quest. If this is the case it is possible that your email server is being transitioned to Quest and you will need to change your email address and server settings.
I am only speculating since I do not have enough information. I suggest calling your ISP or Quest and ask their help desk about this.

Thanks

Yes, you can certainly create a new Apple ID at appleid.apple.com (which will have to be associated with a different email address from your current ID) and then change the various settings and applications on one of your iPhones to use this new ID.

• HT204053 I created a different Apple ID for Icloud on my new IPhone and having problems with getting Itunes, etc. How do I change my Icloud Apple ID to be the same ID and password?

I created a different Apple ID for my Icloud on my new IPhone (said a free email was available or something similar) rather than the other choice offered of using my same existing Apple ID. Now I keep having issues accessing my account and my password isn't working to access Icloud to download Itunes. Can I undo this new account I created and just use my one existing Apple ID? This is my first IPhone and confused with this part of the setup! Thanks.

If you know the answers to your security questions, you should be able to change your password without using email authentication (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HE36). If you don't, you may be out of luck.

• Do I need to have a different Apple ID for each apple product my family has so we are not sharing contacts

Yes. And separate user accounts on the computer if you only have one computer.

• HT2688 I have an Apple Id for my Itunes, and my children have a different Apple ID for theirs. To home share, do I need to change one of the IDs for ITunes, or can we simply have a common Apple ID just for home sharing? Thanks.

I think the title says it all. We have different Apple IDs on two computers for two users. To home share, is it necessary to change one of the Apple IDs to match the other, or can this be done just for purposes of home sharing -- i.e., select one Apple ID as the common ID just for purposes of home sharing.
Thanks,
Eric

Personally, I'd keep it simple and keep the same one.

• I have several Albums in my Photo app. Is there a way to download all contents in one album only to my computer?

I have several Albums in my Photo section in my iphone.
I want to be able to transfer a specific album only when syncing to my computer. So that all the pictures are already organized in one album when I transfer it.
Is there a way to do this?
Thanks!

Please, please, please... I wonder if the solution of deleting the Podcast App and using the Music App again would work. My favorite sports radio station splits up their podcasts by DJ (logical), but I want to listen to all podcasts from one day from all DJs. No longer automatic :(
Apple developers, if you read this please add this feature - you had it in Music App.

• I misplaced my iPod touch 4g and don't have iCloud, Is there any way I can get it back? Thanks to whoever helps! :)

Same as question if this is a description..... I lost my iPod somewhere, I dont have any idea where it couldve been.... I just dont know what went wrong...

Very very unlikely
- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
- You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have to iPod play a sound via iCloud.
- If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
- Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
- There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it.

Every time I open Firefox there is a message saying I do not have the latest version so I click on this to upgrade. I have not reached version 9.0.1.111 and the message still appears. Is there any way to download the latest version without the in betweens?

If you still get that message after having confirmed that you run the latest Firefox version then you may be opening the www.google.com/firefox site.
The www.google.com/firefox site was used in Firefox 3 versions.
Current Firefox 4+ versions no longer use that Google website as the home page, but use the build-in about:home page as the home page.
Google no longer seems to maintain that page and assumes that you use an older Firefox version if you still visit that site and warns you that you use an older Firefox version and suggests to update.
You can ignore that message if you run the latest Firefox version as reported in the "Help > About" window (Firefox is up to date).
You can use another page as the home page like about:home or www.google.com or www.google.com/ig (iGoogle).
