For Messages they will each need their own iCloud accounts. You should also enable Restrictions in Settings > General > Restrictions and disable auto-download on the other devices.

I have had my iPhone 4 for about 1 1/2 years, with no problems. A couple days ago the battery drained in about an hour, I plugged it in to charge and it was not charging. After a few hours a message popped up on the screen about the temperature being too hot...the phone was very hot when I picked it up. I lost my harddrive with my main iTunes library and my backup was a couple months old (I know, I know, stupid move). Anyway, can I re-download the songs that I'm missing that I've already paid for (and still have the elecronic receipts)?

Dell Dimension Windows XP ProSorry, but officially Apple does not allow redownloads of purchased items. It's your responsibility to make backup copies in case something goes wrong with your system, as unfortunately it apparently did in your case, and you lose all the information on your hard drive. If you haven't made a backup, and don't have your tracks on an iPod, you're probably out of luck and will need to repurchase your tracks.
You can try contacting iTunes Store Customer Service and explaining what happened. Reportedly in some cases Apple has allowed redownloading on a one-time basis, but don't count on it. -
ITunes downloaded songs it said I already purchased
So I just downloaded the new St. Lucia album, and next to 5 songs that I already bought as singles or other EPs, said "Purchaced" so I did "complete my album" however, out of those 5 songs, iTunes decided to redownload 3 of them, even though it said I already purchased them. Anyone else have this problem or a solution? I emailed the tech support to see if I can get reimbursed but I wanted to see if anyone else had an answer. Thanks!!

Why did I loose my contacts when I updated by iphone with 5.0?
A number of reasons can be addressed. Did you sync your contacts over to the supported application on the computer, or into iCloud? If so, then just sync them back.
Not all contact information is includded in the backup. If you have iCloud turned on, then turn it off and back on again. See if that helps. -

You need to make sure your billing address is correct whether or not you use an iTunes gift card or not.

I have had an iphone 4g for about six months. I had purchased around 250 songs from itunes on my previous iphone. When I got the new phone and synced with my nike running, most of the songs transferred. Most of them are in my store but are listed 2-3 times. some of them are in bold print, others in light print. When i'm running, the songs skipped over and only play the ones in dark. I have no idea what to do to get all of the songs backk that I bought. Jessica14

Welcome to the Support Communities!
I would suggest you transfer your iTunes purchases from the iPhone to the computer first.
Then in your iTunes library on the computer, find and remove the duplicates.
Then resync to your Nike.

If you are now in the US then you can only use the US store, so you should update the address on your account
Changing country : Change the country of your iTunes Store, App Store, iBooks Store, and Mac App Store account.
Had you copied the songs over to your computer's iTunes library, do they show in the Music section on it ? You can copy purchases that you still have on your iPad over to your computer's iTunes library via the File > Devices > Transfer Purchases menu option -

If you never backed up your phone to iTunes and never backed it up to iCloud all of your content is gone forever.

i have the serial number if this is any good to use to block it..I did actually find the imei number and serial number through Itunes Backup, it was in there. You go into Itunes, then Preferences, Device and it is in there.. Thank you for your help.

Bought my hubby an iphone4 and I registered it and opened an apple account for him. I have an iphone 5 (under my own Apple account). I use icloud to sync calendar and contacts with outlook 2007. How do I add my hubby's phone (account) to icloud so I can sync the same contacts and calendar?
On his phone, sign in Settings>iCloud and enable Mail so that he can have his own email address. Then add your account in Settings>Mail, Contacts & Calendars and enable Contacts and Calendars. They will then appear on his phone alongside any syncing he has set up. This will keep your emails separate, or you can add Mail as well so that you can both access that if you want. You can add his account in the same way on your phone and enable any data types you want to sync.

I have an apple tv 3 but when i use Home Sharing from my Windows Laptop the Apple TV shows all my music on the TV but it will only play 1 or 2 songs and then stops!!! Annoying, so I have to re-start iTunes on my Laptop and it will play 1 or 2 more songs then stops again!!! still annoying.

Next, plug the Apple TV into your computer with a micro-usb cable (most phones today use these) and start up Itunes. It should detect the Apple TV in recovery.
After that, hold down Option on Apple or Alt on Windows and click Restore. This should open a window that allows you to select the software update you want to apply. Select the one you downloaded earlier.
It will then go through the restore process, which takes only a few minutes, and then you will be able to plug the Apple TV back in to your display and set it up again.
I recently ran into a similar issue with a bunch of these things and after restoring them all to the previous software version they are working again. -
