I have my contacts button turned on in the Mac and the IPad, but the cloud is not updating my contacts list. It does update my caldendar so I know that part is working. How do I get the contacts to update on the ICloud?

Perhaps by verifying that you are using "icloud group" of your contacts on pad and mac.
Open contacts and see if icloud is your default.

Have you tried resetting the device (nothing will be lost): Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Apple appears (up to 30 seconds). Once the Home screen redisplays, see if your Music app is behaving normally.

I visited the Apple store there is no problem with the iPad or the cord. I still have the same problem and am unable to sync when I plug in the iPad via the USB cord. Try going into the control panel, add/remove programs. Uninstall iTUnes, Apple mobile device service, apple application support. Then redownload and reinstall iTunes and see if it'll work
If the computer sees your iPad you know the cable and connection is good, so the issue has to be software.

App asks to have location services turned on but App does not appear in location list.

I start the EZ Word Cheats and it starts with the menu open. I click on Quick Import and a blue box appears with the message to turn on Location services in settings. I start the settings app, click Privacy, click Location Services, but EZ Word Cheats does not appear in the list of Apps that can have Location Services turn on. Shutting the iPad off or resetting it does not help.

I reset location services in Setting>General>Reset>Reset Location & Privacy and that fixed the problem. I need not need to restore from new. When I ran EZ Word Cheats after the resetting location services and then clicked on the Quick import under the menu, a message came up asking access to Photos instead of location services. Set your columns back to one for the moment. In layout mode, insert a Text box. Place it in the upper left corner of your document, and drag down and right to the size of the container for your two columns. Click inside the Text Box, and now bump up your columns to 2. Your two columns are now contained in this resizable Text Box.

Yes, Mirror Lockup is one possibility. Also, if you have Long Exposure Noise Reduction enabled and are taking shots of 1 second or longer, the camera has to take two shots. First, it takes a "regular" shot, then a second,"blank" shot is made with the shutter closed. This second shot is then used to identify noise, which is subtracted from the first image. The second shot is the same length of time as the first one... so if you were making a 4 second exposure, all together it will take 8 seconds to make both shots when LENR is enabled. If you cancel the second shot before it completes (by turing off the camera or removing the battery), neither image is saved... so it seem like no shot was taken. Another setup that makes you press the shutter release repeatedly is bracketing.... There's exposure bracketing and white balance bracketing. Exposure bracketing allows you to set a range of exposures which will be taken, probably 3 total on your camera, and I think you have to press the shutter release three times for them all to be taken. Sometimes the shutter release button gets "gummed up" with finger oils, dust and grime, with use and over time. That can cause delays and problems when trying to take a shot. There are several places online that show how to clean it yourself (Google it... but be careful if you decide to try to do it), or you can send to Canon (they'll replace the button entirely), or have an independent repair shop clean it. ***********

Sync does not update Touch Contacts from desktop Address Book

I add names to the desktop computer's Address Book. When I sync the Touch, the new entries do not appear in Contacts. One entry is for "Dave". So I created an entry on the Touch named "Dave" and then synced, to see if it would acquire the data for Dave from the Address Book. Instead it created a new entry in Address Book for "Dave". So there are now two cards for Dave on the computer but the Touch still doesn't know his phone number.
What's going on?

I currently have 883 contacts in the ICloud but when i setup my Icloud account in Outlook 2007 it does not show any contacts folder.

The email works in the IMAP account but no contacts to be found in the standard folders or IMAP.
Additionally, it looks like the export function in the ICloud is broken. When I select all contacts, they all get highlighted but when I export the file, the file is named something like "name of my first contact plus 883 more) but all I really get is the first contact.
Is there something i'm missing?

What you've outlined in this part of the post is all that icloud stores for you outside of the backup. If you want to restore from the icloud backup you will then have for all practical purposes a carbon restoration back to your device if you restore from the icloud backup.

Syncing your device with itunes will then enable you to remove whatever photos you wish to remove from your device deleting them with the computer and not the iphone.

iTunes store, App Store, iTunes Match and various other services have been down for the past several hours. Apple's System Status page at http://www.apple.com/support/systemstatus/ now shows them back up but they are STILL NOT up for me or many other users. The error codes 4000 series refer to connection errors, I've gotten several from 4001-4010 all day. We're kind of at the mercy of Apple at this point. It would be nice if they would give us some notification about their problems since we are paying for their service.

Use iPhone Backup Extractor tool, if you have a locally created backup this should to the job for you! And check out how to import the contacts back to your iPhone using Outlook. You could try exporting the contacts to CSV or vCards (.vcf), this can be done by clicking on the "Extract" option near the top left of the app. Then choosing "Contacts as CSV" or "Contacts as vCard" . When you open these files, you will see all your contacts and numbers. CSV files generally import into any contact manager (Outlook, MobileMe) slightly better, specially Outlook.
You can try using GMail as well (see GMail Contact section), it is very easy to import any of our files into Gmail then sync the contacts to your iPhone.
Alternatively you can actually just email a vcard to your iPhone link email account (extract as vCard not vCards). Click on the attached and the iPhone will open the AddressBook app and display various options.
As for the "freaky deaky" it reminds me of the Austin Powers movie with his freaky deaky dutch.
