HT204053 I'm in the Itunes store but when I try to redeem a free song, it tells me to sign in again, then a message "review my account"

When in the ITunes Store to redeem a free song; I am prompted to sign in to redeem code. I proceed in to sign in and a reply message; my apple id has not yet been used with the ITunes store. Please review your account information, as I click to review, it sends me back to the Itunes store.
I don't know what else I need to do. If anyone has helpful suggestions, I would appreciate it. Thanks

You can create a iTune and App Store account without credit card details
1. Sign out of current Apple ID
2. Go to App Store and select a free app
3. Tap INSTALL APP
4. Create New Apple ID
5. Confirm Your Country
6. Agree with Terms and Conditions
7. Fill in your Apple ID and Password (must be a valid email address)
8. Create and answer your secret question
9. Select NONE for Payment Method
10. Fill in Billing Address
11. Submit application for new Apple ID
12. Wait for verification email
13. When email arrive, verify your account
14. Start downloading your free apps

I have changed my Apple ID when I got a new email address and confirmed it. However when I go to my iPad to buy an app my old Apple ID comes up and will not recognize the password. Hi, I had this problem when I first went to use iTunes with iCloud. using Windows 8 OS. Everytime I tried to download from iCloud error 5105 came up... not sure this will work for everyone, but pretty simple, I closed iTunes and restarted it and everything worked fine

You could check to see if there are any other stores that you can buy the song from. How about the artist's website? I've bought a couple of MP3s and even CDs from Australian artist's websites.

You buy one and only one download.
It is your responsibility to move/copy/backup your music.
Certainly you did not update your ipod without making sure that you had transferred anything purchased on the ipod to your computer and included it in your regular backup copy of your computer.

No, you can easily migrate your entire library from one working compter to another.
If you fail to backup or migrate your library and find yourself with nothing but a new empty computer and a device full of content iTunes is designed to only recover the iTunes purchased content, however third party tools can help recover everything if needed.

"Error: Cannot connect to iTunes Store" only when I try to Redeem a code

I only get this error code when I try to redeem one of many codes. I can download apps and update them just fine. I've tried all the little solutions like turning device on/off, changing the date/time forward, 8.8.8.8, etc and none of them have worked.
Can someone help me solve this annoying problem? : )

As soon as I posted this, a lightbulb lit up and I realized I had old testflight data of the same game I was trying to redeem. I deleted the old file and was able to redeem without a problem

Click: Edit Payment Information
Make sure you have the correct Security Code.
Then click: Done

I'm having this same problem and can't find a solution that works in the apple support community. What's frustrating is that this used to work seamlessly with Windows. Then I bought a macbook pro and upgraded to OS X Mavericks and a lot of stuff broke.
I'll call apple in the morning.
